HTC Incredible :: On DINC Unable To Enter Password In Box / Get To Work?
May 10, 2010There are a couple of web sites that I visit where they have pop up boxes to enter username and passwords. When I try to do this on the DINC it doesn't seem to work. Is there a trick?

Dec 16, 2013 I have a Galaxy SII i777 4.1.2, rooted. Things were going ok after the factory reset, but I noticed that the battery was taking forever to charge and was draining extremely fast. I don't know if the fact that the telephone was running my data manager, data usage defender, battery doctor, watchdog and memory booster for one day has anything to do with this (although the battery drainage and high consumption of data was before I installed those apps and it was the reason why I did installed them this time). But today (hours after I uninstalled battery doctor, data usage defender and memory booster) the battery got quickly drained and the phone seemed dead (it didn't want to turn on and i couldn't see the icon indicating it was charging when connected). So, I inserted my sister's battery, took it out, and put my battery again. This time the phone turned on, BUT I see a message saying "enter password to use encrypted device storage." I only use four passwords for all my accounts but none of them work. I have tried different wrong passwords (as recommended) like 30 times, and nothing happens. I read somewhere that I could start ODIN, which I'm not knowledgeable of. But I don't know what to do. I pressed the power button and the volume keys, and all is showing is a green man icon and a "Downloading" message. It's been like an hour already and it keeps "downloading."
I don't remember having encrypted my phone. And if I did, I could have only used one of my four passwords.
Samsung Moment :: Option To Lock Phone And Enter A Password To Get In
Jan 16, 2010The phone I'm using right now has a lock on it, so I need to enter a password in able to have access to my cellphone. Does the samsung moment have an option to lock your phone and enter a password to get in? I already looked on the sprint website, but if anyone knows (or can find out with their Samsung moment), it would be really appreciated by me! I really would like to buy this phone!

Jul 16, 2010new to Droid here and loving it. Much better then the Eris in my mind. One quick question: when I try to check my voice mail and it ask me to type in password and hit pound button for some reason when I hit dial pad it flashes on and off and doesn't let me keep it on to punch in my password. Any thoughts on how I can fix that. When I notice I have a voice mail I swipe the notification bar and dial voice mail that way.

I just updated to the latest Tapatalk 1.8.0 and find I can't login to the forum I use it with (no, not this one). When I enter my user name and password it just bounces back to the login screen with no complaint.

The password screen locks and when it asks for the user name and password it states invalid user name / password!
Is this a known problem since when I called and talked to both Verizon and HTC the only thing they could tell me was to do a hard reset and they weren't aware of this problem?

It is the character usually located just under the ESC key on your keyboard and is usually shared with the Tilde (~). From my searches I have learned that this character is often used in certain programming languages and such. I need this character on my Incredible as I use it in many of my passwords. It seems that phones with a physical keyboard have a way to type the backtick using a set of keystrokes. I used to have a Blackberry Storm and its soft keyboard contained this character.

Nov 14, 2010I have a Droid Incredible that I rooted with UnRevoked3 about a week ago. I want to do a hard reset, but it just sticks at the first white "HTC Incredible" boot screen. I get the same result if I try to enter recovery mode. I can get into HBOOT ok by pressing the vol down and power button, but if I select any option it locks on the "htc Incredible" boot screen. I searched around for this problem for an hour and I've come up dry.

Is this possible on the incredible in anyway on sense ui? Its driving me nuts to have to lower the keyboard or hit back button to send it. Any idea? I know its a minimal problem, but its annoying to me.

Jul 10, 2010I've been using Lockpicker on my Incredible, which requires a password due to the Exchange policies. I turned Lockpicker off by accident and now it wants me to put my old password in. I have no idea what it is. I'm on attempt #10/10, and I don't want the device to erase my data.I can't turn Lockpicker back on without getting back into the menu system. Is there any way to recover my original password? I would've thought it'd automatically be the same as my Exchange password, but that's not working. Is there any way to refresh the number of attempts I have?

May 9, 2010My lame company forces me to password protect my Incredible, thereby causing me much delay having to enter a password every time I turn the thing on. This is for corporate email through Activesync.

May 1, 2012I'm new to android but just used the guides at this forum to root my LG Optimus V. I was wondering if now that I have root there is a way to install a boot password similar to the one I have on my computer. Before it loads the operating system, the BIOS asks for a password. Is there any similar functionality for android?
Also, is this possible on other devices even if it is not on mine? It's one of my favorite laymen security measures.
HTC Incredible :: Google Voice As Voicemail Needs Password
May 5, 2010So I set up Google Voice to be my voicemail provider on my phone.
Twice.
The first time I did it directly on the site and followed the instructions.....THEN I went to the phone and actually changed it in the Voicemail provider settings (there is a spot for it)
When called it still made me put in my voicemail #.
So I started the process over again.
This time I set up my verizon voice mail with the phone number and the ",****" for the pause and the password. Then i told it to use google voicemail.
Then I went into google voicemail and set up the phone again.
And....
Voila....it automatically puts in my password for me now. Although on the phone it doesn't show that its there at all.
There doesn't seem to be a reason to switch the setting on the phone as the voicemail indicator in "messages" doesn't change.....and also It doesn't seem to be able to set up the true visual voicemail through it.
You have to use the Google Voice app to get them and just search through your mails. (If anyone has a way around that one I'd be grateful - for both the message indicator and the visual voicemail)
