May 3, 2010I accidentally ordered too many Zagg Invisible Shields Lol. I only ordered one extra so instead of going through Zagg to get a refund I decided to give back to community. Just send me a short PM explaining why you need it. I will pick my winner sometime tomorrow and hopefully have it sent in the mail by Wednesday. It's just the front cover screen and install kit.

Apr 30, 2010Is it just me, or are they hard to put on? I used one of the 50% off coupons to pick up a shield for 10 bucks. When I got it, it took me 3-4 times to put it on, and still there were bubbles, even after 24 hours of drying.I contacted them and they were pretty much no help as I did everything already that they suggested.So I went to Best Buy today to pick up another one and to have them them install it for $7.99. It looks FANTASTIC. It took him about 3 minutes to do! They did have their own bottle of some liquid not the standard one that came in the package. Anyway, if you have trouble or want it done right, have them do it!

Apr 25, 2010What's your vote? They both look like strong contenders but it also looks like the Inv.Shields are thin and stretchy and the Clarivue are more stiff. Wouldn't stiffness aid in easy installation and fewer bubbles.How do these screens look through polarized sunglasses?

May 11, 2010Looks pretty craptacular right now. I know I'm supposed to give it another 12-24 hours to dry and "cure" (although I seem to recall seeing the timeframe of 24-48 hours on this board, anyone vouch for that?), but I'm a little concerned.Sorry for the huge crappy pic, had to take it with my old phone. But you can see the smears and lines. Those are what I'm worried about. Anyone who's used a Zagg able to comment on whether those disappear in the curing process? I'll be sure to post better pics when it's completely dried for people.

May 6, 2010I have an extra Zagg and an extra PS that I'm thinking about cutting and sizing to fit the camera lens. I'm opposed to using any kind of cover, but these leaves the camera cover exposed. The only potential problem I see is my photo shots coming out blurry, and I'll most likely use the PS as it is a little bit more transparent than the Zagg.

May 2, 2010I put a Zagg Invisible shield on but did not like the super glossy orange peel look so I removed it. I checked out the steinheils website and some youtube vids and they look really nice. Is the only difference between the steinheil crystal and the anti-fingerprint the finish? I'm not too sure I'd like the matte finish as I would think it would slightly dull the brightness of the display. I've also seen the Phantom skinz and the orange peel effect seems to be a bit better than on the Zagg. Anyone with experience using both Zagg and Phantom SKinz products how do they compare? Does either of the two have a definitive advantage over the other in terms of appearance and feel of the coating while sliding your finger over it.

Feb 6, 2010A week ago I received the Invisible Shield from Zagg in the mail and was very excited. I read the instructions, saw some installation videos on youtube and after 1 hour of preparation i was ready for the install. The installation process is a nightmare as you have to apply the solution while keeping the shield from sticking to itself and its a PIA to align correctly. I installed the back cover first and after many tries I had it correctly aligned but it didn't fit perfectly meaning there were areas that the shield did not cover completeley such as corners which are the most prone to damage. Next I installed the screen protector OMFG what a POS. It had bubbles all over even after using the squegee card. I thought I'd give it a few days for them to clear up as Zagg claims that within 24 hrs they disappear. They did not go away and it made the screen look bad especially on a white background. Needless to say the smaller pieces are also a nightmare to install. Anyways, today I saw my phone and got tired of looking at that Zagg crap and at the sticky feel it gives the phone and took it off and went back to what I had before.I had the siliicone case from the sprint store and the screen protector from the sprint store which had worked perfectly since november: not a single scratch and no dust problems. So really beware of the Zagg products, at least I got it for free so it didn't hurt to throw it away.

Mar 19, 2010Does anyone use the Zagg full body shield and if so what do you think about it? I have the neoprene case with mine and the Zagg screen protector though I heard these cases cause dust to collect through the volume rocker and thus getting under the screen.

Jul 22, 2010I ordered a ZAGG full body max protector to replace my Body Glove case. I didn't know if anyone had any experience with covering the whole body with this thing? I went with the max vs the easy version because I'd think the corners are going prolly mostly likely to get hit if it's dropped and the easy version doesn't protect sides/corners. Obviously this provides no shock protection if it's dropped but it's a nice compromise between showing off it's sexiness and protection.

When I originally downloaded the Spare Parts application for my Motorola Droid, it would show the amount of time each program had my phone in 'wakelock'. Ex: Going into the Partial Wake usage would show times. However, lately I noticed going in there this no longer happens... Anyways, just curious if anyone here has any ideas as to why.

Aug 10, 2010I've noticed that when the setting for Handcent SMS has the Blinking LED to "Fast", "Normal", or "Slow" it'll eat up resources and takes up +80% of the Partial Wake Time Usage according to Spare Parts. I've noticed this with 2.1, 2.2, and 2.2 again after a hard reset. I'm assuming it's an issue with the last few updates of Handcent as I did not have this problem a month ago.
With it set to "Default" blinking it'll consume normal resources like every other app. Thing is with the "Default" blinking, it just stays green like it's fully charged. I'd appreciate if someone else can look into this and see if this same issue is present for you.
Sprint HTC Hero :: Will Zagg's InvisibleSHIELD Make Using Touch Screen More Difficult?
Jun 11, 2010I had an InvisibleSHIELD for my old Blackberry and I loved it for its durability. I was thinking about putting one on my new Sprint HTC Hero, but I remember it having kind of a tacky, gummy, sticky feel to it...kind of resistant to sliding your finger over it smoothly. That doesn't matter to me whatsoever when I'm not using a touch screen, but has anyone used one on a Hero? I don't want to buy one and find out it makes my phone harder to use.Specifically, I've just gotten pretty good at using SlideIT (wish I could try Swype), and I have a feeling that with an InvisibleSHIELD it will be much harder to accurately move my finger to the right spots on the screen at the right times. Has anyone had any experience with this?

I have had every single one I am listing, I have used them each for about 1 month to 2 months, so I know what I am talking about. Here they are. With each one, at the end I will include scores ranging from 0-5. And the overall, average of each one. Grip- How well each one is set down on something and able to remain put during a drive or something, and how it feels in the hands.
Screen Feel- How close and nice it feels to the screen. Protection/Scratch Test- How it preforms to the normal keys in the pocket and nails etc, hitting the screen and phone. Price- Worth the price paid? How well of a deal it is. Installation- How easy it was. Overall- The average of the 5. Background= All were installed using Zagg Spray. I used each for about 1-2 Months Each. I only bought the Full Body Protection. The Zagg Cost me 19.99 for one. The Phantomz Skinz cost me 25 for Two. And Stealth Guard cost me 9.99 for TWO. HTC Droid Eris :: Solar Spare Battery - $30?
Feb 3, 2010Just saw this on Gizmodo, it's a solBAT charger for any USB device... it's a 1500 mA battery that pumps 5V through a USB hookup. It's not exactly a perfect solution to anything (especially since it seems like it would be most useful in a car, which is when you'd be able to plug into the cigarette lighter anyway), but still: you can essentially boost your battery using only the sun, and it's only $30... pretty cool!
Thought I'd post it here for anybody with environmentalist inclinations who's having battery problems... or if you're like me, and you're planning some extended hiking/camping trips for the summer, and were trying to figure out how you were going to keep your phone alive for more than a couple of days
HTC Desire : Place Tasks To Spare Homescreen?
Sep 15, 2010I'm using Jorte as my organizer and wondered if I can place my Tasks etc. on to a spare home-screen? I'm also using the App. Folderorganizer; Do I need to use this to do it or can I do it through Jorte? What other possibilities are there please? ( without me having to re-write my planner if I install another Calendar app. )
