I'm annoyed with the constant finger prints whipping, so I'd imagine that anti-glare would be the preferred choice. Then again I don't know what the contrast will look like afterward. This is my dilemma

May 31, 2010Installed my clarivue last night. It was really easy to install. This really helps with visibility outside, the screen isn't reflective like a mirror anymore. The touch screen doesn't feel as good as naked, but it repels fingerprints so I think it's worth the trade off. Excuse the dust.

Jan 14, 2010Two weeks ago I got the Clarivue ultra-clear screen protector and wrote a review which can be read here. I wanted to try the anti-glare version so I e-mailed Clarivue and they happily exchanged my ultra-clear for an anti-glare version. They sent me the anti-glare version first so that my screen could remain protected in agreement that I would send back the ultra-clear protector. So now this review will cover Clarivue's anti-glare screen protector. Packaging was the same as the ultra-clear protector, so I will not post pictures of the package, only pictures of the protector on the phone. Two different backgrounds so that you can compare the color and contrast with the protector on. I apologize for the blurriness of the second picture.
The application process: Application of this product was still very simple. This time around, however, I applied the protector while the hot water from my shower was steaming my bathroom. It helped with the dust a bit though I still managed to get two little pieces in there. I easily got rid of them with some tape.

Nov 25, 2009I had one on my old Storm, and I liked it, but I thought I'd post here first to see if any Droid owners have installed it yet. I hate the glare I get on my phone (and fingerprints too), especially while docked in my car. I know this will help but I was a bit hesitant. Anyone have it installed?

-Installation was very simple (sans flimsiness, see cons), it's a tad smaller so it's easy to get on.
-Came with awesome equipment for installation, like latex finger covers
-Totally fingerprint resistant, as to be expected with anti glare
-It's definitely ANTI-glare
-Really thin, so no sensitivity is lost
-Feels EXTREMELY smooth, I prefer the feel to the standard glass
CONS:
-Makes the screen have a terrible rainbow effect on all lighter screens, a lot worse than I expected, I have an anti glare on my iPod Touch that I LOVE, it doesn't do this rainbow effect nearly as bad. I don't know if it's the screen of the products, or just the difference in protectors, but it's noticeable. Note: I also keep little to no brightness on either of them -There seems to be no adhesive anywhere around the edges of the film, because even with the protector dead center there is a border of bubble (well it just doesn't lay flat). Though if you use a case this would be nonexistant as it would probably cover it -The thinness is a tradeoff, because while it does help with the sensitivity, it's a PIA to put on cause it's so flimsy. So yeah, overall I'm content with it, but it could be much better. I just have to have anti-glare, cause to me I can't STAND fingerprints. Actually the anti-glare I could care less about, these might as well be called anti-fingerprint to me.

May 6, 2010I have an extra Zagg and an extra PS that I'm thinking about cutting and sizing to fit the camera lens. I'm opposed to using any kind of cover, but these leaves the camera cover exposed. The only potential problem I see is my photo shots coming out blurry, and I'll most likely use the PS as it is a little bit more transparent than the Zagg.

May 2, 2010I put a Zagg Invisible shield on but did not like the super glossy orange peel look so I removed it. I checked out the steinheils website and some youtube vids and they look really nice. Is the only difference between the steinheil crystal and the anti-fingerprint the finish? I'm not too sure I'd like the matte finish as I would think it would slightly dull the brightness of the display. I've also seen the Phantom skinz and the orange peel effect seems to be a bit better than on the Zagg. Anyone with experience using both Zagg and Phantom SKinz products how do they compare? Does either of the two have a definitive advantage over the other in terms of appearance and feel of the coating while sliding your finger over it.

I was thinking about putting one on my new Sprint HTC Hero, but I remember it having kind of a tacky, gummy, sticky feel to it...kind of resistant to sliding your finger over it smoothly. That doesn't matter to me whatsoever when I'm not using a touch screen, but has anyone used one on a Hero? I don't want to buy one and find out it makes my phone harder to use.Specifically, I've just gotten pretty good at using SlideIT (wish I could try Swype), and I have a feeling that with an InvisibleSHIELD it will be much harder to accurately move my finger to the right spots on the screen at the right times. Has anyone had any experience with this?

I have had every single one I am listing, I have used them each for about 1 month to 2 months, so I know what I am talking about. Here they are. With each one, at the end I will include scores ranging from 0-5. And the overall, average of each one. Grip- How well each one is set down on something and able to remain put during a drive or something, and how it feels in the hands.
Screen Feel- How close and nice it feels to the screen. Protection/Scratch Test- How it preforms to the normal keys in the pocket and nails etc, hitting the screen and phone. Price- Worth the price paid? How well of a deal it is. Installation- How easy it was. Overall- The average of the 5. Background= All were installed using Zagg Spray. I used each for about 1-2 Months Each. I only bought the Full Body Protection. The Zagg Cost me 19.99 for one. The Phantomz Skinz cost me 25 for Two. And Stealth Guard cost me 9.99 for TWO. I bought a couple of cheap case covers from China and as far as I understand they might not have the right material which causes the IR to be reflected instead of being absorbed.
I don't mind it locking really, aside from maybe a bigger battery consumage, since I often hear it locking itself while in my pocket.
No, my main problem is, with some of the covers, if I flip the front cover side to the back so I can hold the phone easily, it locks.
For example, the 2 I have on me, the leather one locks if I flip it over, the plastic one doesn't.
Really I'd like to disable the function alltogether, I prefer locking it myself together with the trusty 30s idle lock.
How do I disable auto locking when closing case cover.

Apr 9, 2010I keep hearing that the EVO is gonna have a TFT screen! While I did not know what it was I knew it was old school compared to what we have! Well this evening I took some time to figure out what it is, and guess what it sucks! I used to have the original Instinct and just looked up the specs and guess what it has a TFT LCD, now if you have ever owned a instinct you prolly remember the nice little wear mark that was on the screen, now I understand that there was a cover over in it, but I am wondering what they will put over the LCD screen!
