Since I upgraded to 2.2 I get a prompt to install software and the VZW web page in automatically launched every time I plug my phone into my computer. I read before my upgrade that this would happen once and then go away after it was declined once but mine seems to be persistent. I'd really rather not install their unnecessary software.

I find myself pressing the wrong link quite frequently and I was wondering if anyone has discovered a faster way than pres menu>stop or the X next to the URL? Preferably on the keyboard.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've looked pretty hard to find an answer to this but only found things about sending multiple page texts, not receiving. As a Verizon customer I loved being able to send and receive 7 page texts to and from other Verizon customers. I recently upgraded to an Eris from that horribly lousy Alias and noticed that when the same Verizon people send me multiple page texts, the Eris splits the texts up. I'm fine with it doing this, but the thing that really bothers me is every time I get a multiple page text from a Verizon user it also sends me (and the person sending the text) a notification saying the text had special formatting removed or something to that extent. Some people I talk to tend to send texts that are 2 or more pages every time and the constant notification can get really irritating. Is there an app or a workaround to prevent this?

If they mean my computer's command prompt that sucks because I am at work and can't get into it.I was able to get it rooted with the leaked 2.2, now I just need the command prompt for some programs I want to install.FYI the leaked 2.2 is freaking amazing, haven't had a reboot (had many previous) since installation.

In the EVO 4G section and I'm having the same issue with my Incredible. For the past couple of days every time I go to google.com I receive this prompt
This happens using the native browser or using Dolphin browser. All my location settings are set to allow sites to use my location (in the phone options and all browser options). I get the prompt both when I am logged into google and when I am logged out. I've even checked my google account settings "save recent locations" is set as On and "allow use of device location" is set to YES. No matter what combination of options I select within the prompt, it comes back every time I go to google.com. I've rebooted and even pulled out the battery and nothing changes. GPS on or off has no effect and clearing out my caches hasn't changed it either. My phone is stock except for being rooted.
I'm sure it's something simple, but my mobile Google browser home page has stopped working, I just get a white screen now. I've tried clearing my cache, but it didn't help.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a battery life app today and after I did that a tiny command prompt looking thing appeared in the top right corner of my Incredible. Everytime I do an action, a line of code appears. For example, on my main page it says stuff like
system_server
m.android.phone
And other random code lines like that. Its in a tiny text in the top right of the touch screen. Is there any way to get rid of this? I tried to uninstall the battery app that seemed to cause it, but the prompt didn't go away with it.
I'm getting the system update prompt every time I turn on my damn phone; I need to follow the guide that shows you how to keep root when going to 2.2:
Stock 2.1 to Fully Rooted Froyo 2.2
But I probably won't have time to do that until next weekend. In the meantime, is there a way to temporarily disable this update notice?
Just got the Incredible, and the only options I see for e-mail using POP3 is to delete mail from server or keep mail on server. Coming from a Blackberry, I was prompted each time I went to delete a mail message with the following: delete from "Handheld" or "Handheld & Mailbox" This way e-mail messages I needed to attend to when I get home from work would be downloaded to my desktop when I opened my mail client (and all the mail I deleted thru the day would be gone when I opened my mail client).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the tronsmart CX-919 mini pc running 4.2 and there is an issue with the browser reverting back to the home page or the previous page. When I try to display a webpage on our intranet it reverts back to the homepage or previous page after about 3 hours. I need it to display constantly. I read somewhere that it was a Download Manager issue and disabling it would work but I can't find where to disable it. Also it was stated that Flash was an issue but i tried uninstalling it and it just reinstalled itself and the problem kept occurring. I just want to display a page in a browser and for it to stay on the screen (full screen) until I manually navigate away from it. I plan to leave it on for weeks at a time.

I don't have a problem with this and I use the qr code extension method with Firefox. What I would like to know is if anyone has come up with an equally simple & quick way to throw a web page found on the phone to their PC? You will need the following applications; Either Google Chrome and QR-tag extension generator(for Chrome), or Firefox and QR-tag extension generator(for Firefox) , and this one for your phone Barcode Scanner v3.3 Application for Android you don't have to use this app there are many others out there(doesn't have to be an Incredible phone either). It should be pretty easy to figure this out now that you see the apps involved but I will explain. First is the obvious, you need to get all apps installed and running on both pieces of hardware. Second when you are on the web page you would like to take with you you simply click on the QR-Code app in your toolbar of Chrome and it will display a QR-code then open your QR-Code reader on your phone and line up the QR-code in its sights. Then simply select web browser and your there.

(I have HTC Incredible). Problem is, I cant download or save the boarding pass to by phone. Instead I need to rely on connecting to that link from email when I go thru security.
