I've got my screens set up how I want them (for the most part anyway). Now I realize I still have to empty screens! I'm thinking about just adding some nice widgets that I can have that look nice and might provide some decent enjoyment.
Like maybe a full page Fox News widget or top stories widget? What do you all have?

I have tried a lot of notes apps, but all of the widgets are just single icon space widgets. I would like a full screen widget for simple notes. Anyone know of a good one? This is not for taking notes at like school, but for quick reminders, etc.

My question is, when you click on the widget, it doesn't bring you to a full weather program like weatherchannel or weatherbug? Meaning like, in the "stock" weather widgets, if you click on them while open, it brings u into a weather program where you then have the option to look at a closer look or detailed forecast.

Is there any way to see more than one appointment without opening up the full calendar? You would think if you have multiple appointments in a day that you'd be able to flip through them from the widget, but you can't from what I can tell.
Is there an easy way to jump to my home page on the X10 (full size) without having to go into my bookmarks?

I don't have a problem with this and I use the qr code extension method with Firefox. What I would like to know is if anyone has come up with an equally simple & quick way to throw a web page found on the phone to their PC? I know of some ways to do it..I'm looking for the most time efficient/easy way to do it.

You will need the following applications; Either Google Chrome and QR-tag extension generator(for Chrome), or Firefox and QR-tag extension generator(for Firefox) , and this one for your phone Barcode Scanner v3.3 Application for Android you don't have to use this app there are many others out there(doesn't have to be an Incredible phone either). It should be pretty easy to figure this out now that you see the apps involved but I will explain. First is the obvious, you need to get all apps installed and running on both pieces of hardware. Second when you are on the web page you would like to take with you you simply click on the QR-Code app in your toolbar of Chrome and it will display a QR-code then open your QR-Code reader on your phone and line up the QR-code in its sights. Then simply select web browser and your there.

View 5 Replies View RelatedNot sure how to properly describe this but bear w/me. I'm running OTA 2.2 on a no-rooted, stock phone. No problems w/ phone what-so-ever until this morning. This morning, when I go to, let's say People or Mail or X-Scope etc, if I either hit the Back or Home button to get back to my Home screen the 2nd HTC boot screen comes up briefly (the one w/ the green HTC letters, then a blank Home screen w/ the "Loading" message briefly appears after which the screen repopulates itself w/ my icons as normal. This is happening in all applications when I hit Back or Home to return to Home. So far I've pulled the battery twice but I still have the problem. Phone is fully charged. Is this what would be considered the Forced Closing problem?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI connected the Incredible to my mac and did not touch the internal storage; I just created a folder on the SD card to move a ringtone over from my laptop. Now, when I load up the camera, I get a message: Phone storage is full or unavailable. Storage has been switched to SD card.
UPDATE: I just shut it down. After rebooting, it was able to read the internal phone storage. Not sure why it did that.
This is not a perfect solution but it does give a work around to the fact that, even though you can set the phone to not have the screen shut off when plugged in, you still have the problem of it dimming to lowest setting. Anyway, what I did to fix this was to download a program on the app store called keep screen. It gives you the option to make it so that the screen doesn't time out or dim for certain apps. What I did was just go in and select all apps and tell it to not dim on any of them.
Then on the front page of this app there is a button to "start/stop service" I use this button like a toggle. If my phone is plugged in I toggle that button and toggle it off when I unplug. It is not a perfect solution and requires manually doing the toggling but it's the best solution I have found to keep the screen and brightness up when my phone is plugged in. Anyway, just thought I would share in case anyone else was looking for a solution for this. Also, if anyone has found a better way of doing this i would love to hear it.
I'm getting my Dinc replaced under warrantee due to dust under the screen and the camera lens starting to fall off for no reason. I want to back up the device as completely as possible, but the main thing I want are the apps. I have a lot of apps and it'd be a pain to re-download all of them. What is the best way of doing this? Is there an app or...?

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo i've always had a go widget clock on my main page, when i would click the clock, the clock app of the phone would open up showing alarms/ worldclock/stopwatch/timer .. well as of today it no longer opens up when i click on the clock. I took the clock off my main page and re inserted it. Still having the same issue.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust wondering if anyone else is experiencing a problem with the full screen weather widget where when you scroll to it it says "Loading Data" then goes completely blank and then cant do anything with it. Removing the widget and re-adding makes it work again a reboot also brings it back to life for a couple of seconds but then goes blank. Clicking on the weather picture on the clock still brings up the details weather screen.

I've got a screen spare on my Hero and really wanted a full screen news widget that I could just glance at to keep up to date rather than navigating menus. Either that or a scrolling rss ticker if such a thing exists.

I ADORE the stock full screen Photo Widget. Where the photos look like they're overlapping, and you can swipe through them to view the images.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI am trying to find out what calendar to use on my home screen. I have the standard calendar widget enabled right now, but it's useless. It tells me I have something scheduled on each day, but that's it. The actual calendar app on my Incredible gives me kind of a bubble indicator for each day that is filled at different spots, depending on whether I have something set up for earlier in the day, middle of the day, etc. I want a full page widget that will do this, just having a marker that says that I have something on that day does me no good. I've also checked out some of the apps so far like Pure Calendar and while they are neat, they tend to tell me only a few days. I want the whole month laid out for me, so I can tell at a glance how busy any particular day will be. BTW, for anyone also wanting a widget with a layout on a day-to-day setup, check out Android Agenda, I use that for a text-based to-do list and it rocks, I just want a graphical one as well. I have stuff going on every day, but some are only 1 or 2 events, so the graphic layout is nice.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've looked and haven't found anything similar. I use the HTC widgets to turn WiFi, GPS, and Mobile Network on and off for when I'm at home (WiFi) and out (GPS and 3G on).
I've noticed several times that, although the switches are in the right positions, when I'm out I have no data connection. No 3G in the status bar either. When I reboot the phone everything is fine, so it's not the area I'm in. Any ideas?
