View 6 RepliesI'm sure this is answered somewhere but I can't find it. Can I set a different wallpaper for each homescreen in launcher pro? How?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSorry If someone already mentioned this but on my Eris, you can choose a wallpaper for the home screen and one for the lock screen? On my Incredible, the wallpaper applies to both the lock screen and the home screen? In settings, it only lets me choose Home Wallpaper. Is this feature gone or am I missing something?
View 1 Replies View RelatedLoving it so far, but I have a quick question (figured I might get a quicker response here)...by default the homescreen is on page 2. Is there any way to make the default homescreen the middle one (page 3)? Edit: never mind, apparently it's an issue with Launder 2.1
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got the eris a couple weeks ago, and then the trackball died so verizon sent me a new one. Now on the new phone when I try to change my homescreen wallpaper, it always wants to zoom in on the image. I'm not sure how to explain it, but it will let me use the full width, but not the full length while looking at the phone with the buttons on the bottom. So I have an image that is 320x480, and it wants to crop it down to 200x200 for example. It zooms in and makes it a square, instead of a rectangle like the screen is. I just want the wallpaper to be what it looks like when the image first opens from the photo album app. But as soon as I try to make it a wallpaper it wants to zoom in and make the photo look dumb.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAs stated in the title I would like to know where exactly the default homescreen wallpaper image is stored on the ICS file system?
I am using version 4.0.3
Say for example I have a friend with a cool background wallpaper and that I want a copy of it. Where exactly would I look in the android file system on his phone to get a copy of it?
Note: I do not want to download an app which manages my wallpaper images I want to find out how it works on ICS so that I can manage it myself.
I googled a bit and found the tutorial below at the end of this email. It would appear that (on Gingerbread) wallpaper is managed by framework-res.apk
When I looked however at the different png files in "framework-res/res/drawable-hdpi" on my ICS installation I nothing what so ever that looks like my current home screen.
The wallpaper is stored under the system/media
On ICS I have 4 folders at that level
alarms
notifications
ringtones
ui
On ICS there are no images in any of these folders. The above was most likely true for Gingerbread but not ICS.
Is wallpaper managed by the launcher or by ICS itself?
I just received a new Droid X yesterday from VZW and immediately upgraded it to official 2.2. The thing seems slower and more jerky than my stock incredible which is pretty damn smooth. If I scroll through the homescreens with a static (non live) wallpaper, it's almost like the walpaper stutters and jumps forward and back a fraction of an inch as it moves across the screen. Haven't really noticed it when using a live wallpaper. Anyone else see this? Really frustrating. Dissapointingly I might have to go back to the DINC if this continues. I don't notice this at all when using Launcher Pro.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have my incredible set to use the live wallpaper "water". When I turn the phone off to charge at the end of the day, upon restart it defaults to the htc colors wallpaper. Is there something I'm doing wrong, is there a setting I'missed to retain the "water" live wallpaper after restart, or is this just normal behavior?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the HTC widget for wi-fi access being turned on and off placed on one of my homescreens. The widget allows wi-fi to be on or off. When clicking the wi-fi widget ON the wi-fi won't come on until I manually go into Setting ->Wireless and Networks->wi-fi network and manually turn on my Wi-fi connection. Now this is not a huge issue but one none the less. Once I connect the wi-fi in this manner it work fantastic at 54mbps. with a good connection. I know the router is working since I use it for my laptops in the house and my in-laws come and use it as well with no issues.
Is this due to the fact that it has WPA password (which is already saved on the phone as the password and doesn't ask for it to access the wi-fi)? Could it be something I am doing wrong. Is there perhaps something I can do to fix this, whether it be a setting or a 3rd party widget to toggle between on and off.
Any one else notice that when using launcher pro and pinching the homescreen to get the previews, there is an initial lag at first? After a couple of pinches on the homescreen it speeds up and becomes more smooth tho, but the initial pinch is always laggy for me. I was thinking it could be something in the memory settings of the LP preferences, however upon playing with the settings I come up empty.

View 20 Replies View RelatedThis is going to sound odd, but I am trying to make a shortcut on my homescreen to email myself. This seems simple, but it looks like whenever I put a contact in my address book with ANY of my email addresses, it isn't available to be used for a shortcut. Try this and tell me that I'm not going crazy. ...but please TRY it before you post the instructions. I say this because I got my boss to try it and he thought I was being a smartass until he tried to do it. A shortcut to email to myself is really helpful for tracking things and is like a to do list for me.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if there was a way to get a shortcut to the page you get from dialing *#*#4636#*#*. Once I have opened it, I can quickly access it by holding home button, but I want to have a quick button to it on my home screens if possible.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the tronsmart CX-919 mini pc running 4.2 and there is an issue with the browser reverting back to the home page or the previous page. When I try to display a webpage on our intranet it reverts back to the homepage or previous page after about 3 hours. I need it to display constantly. I read somewhere that it was a Download Manager issue and disabling it would work but I can't find where to disable it. Also it was stated that Flash was an issue but i tried uninstalling it and it just reinstalled itself and the problem kept occurring. I just want to display a page in a browser and for it to stay on the screen (full screen) until I manually navigate away from it. I plan to leave it on for weeks at a time.

I have noticed that there is a thread on tips for getting web pages from a PC to the phone for viewing ((How to) get a web page from computer to phone. - Android Forums). I don't have a problem with this and I use the qr code extension method with Firefox. What I would like to know is if anyone has come up with an equally simple & quick way to throw a web page found on the phone to their PC? I know of some ways to do it..I'm looking for the most time efficient/easy way to do it.
View 8 Replies View RelatedThis is the fastest way that I know of right now to get a web page displaying on your PC in a browser to your phone. You will need the following applications; Either Google Chrome and QR-tag extension generator(for Chrome), or Firefox and QR-tag extension generator(for Firefox) , and this one for your phone Barcode Scanner v3.3 Application for Android you don't have to use this app there are many others out there(doesn't have to be an Incredible phone either). It should be pretty easy to figure this out now that you see the apps involved but I will explain. First is the obvious, you need to get all apps installed and running on both pieces of hardware. Second when you are on the web page you would like to take with you you simply click on the QR-Code app in your toolbar of Chrome and it will display a QR-code then open your QR-Code reader on your phone and line up the QR-code in its sights. Then simply select web browser and your there.
