Is there any way with the stock apps, or with another app, to put the photo of frequently called/messaged contacts directly on a page; so that simply touching the icon will open up messaging to that person? I am coming from a WinMo phone and used the ContactPro app, which allowed for this.

I've come over from a Window's based phone and love the Incredible, but am having a problem with pictures that I can't find an answer to in the manual.
I simply want to save all the pictures I take with the phone to the SD card so I can transfer the entire file later to dedicated photography software to be cataloged and tweaked.
I can't find how to set up the system so that every photo goes directly to the SD card by default.
I am trying to use open intents simulator and do all the settings according to the instructions. But when i tried to run a sample program, after running, its directly going to the "connections settings page" in openintents.apk.

I'd like to snap a photo on the Eris and upload to Facebook with a comment. It seems the built-in app that came with the Eris doesn't allow comments to be posted. I tried Bloo, which does allow comments, but the photos don't appear in Facebook until I go to my page and approve the photos. Am I missing a way to comment with the built-in app, or a way to have the photos appear without special approval with Bloo? Or is there a better app for this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedUpdated my SGS last night using Kies. The software is running fine and seems to be faster but I have a problem I cannot dial contacts directly from that part of the phone. All I am getting is the message and video call option, the green call button seems to have disappeared. I can receive calls OK and made them, by manually dialing or selecting from call log. Haven't tried a reset but don't want to do that if there is another way in resolving.

I want to create a new contact in the group "My Contacts", with name and number phone like data. I only have seen this example that how must i do this: http://code.google.com/intl/es-ES/android/devel/data/contentproviders. But in this example, the new contacts are added in the list "Favorites" and i don't like this to my app. If i change the value of SCARRED the contact is or not is in this list. How can i add new contacts directly in "My Contacts"i have looked for information about this but i didn't find nothing to do ,żis possible this function?

However, when I go to the dialer page the phone shows both phone contacts and SIM contacts resulting in multiple duplicate contacts from where I copied from SIM to Phone when I first got the handset. Does anyone know how I can do the same as the 'people' app and get the dialer to only show phone contacts?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using two different devices (iPhone and HTC) and I was able to sync contacts photos from the two devices without problem using Outlook...after I replaced Touch Pro, installed HTC Sync 2.0.18 and did my first sync... I noticed something weird...HTC Hero only synced contacts photos that were set by the HTC Touch Pro originally! and didn't sync any contact photo was set by the iPhone! sure thing the photos are working with Outlook without problem and I was able to sync them to the Touch Pro without a problem...

View 5 Replies View Relatedi've just upgraded to the Desire & am liking many things in it, but this issue bugs me:i've synced & linked the contacts in my 'people' app. in some cases, this involved linking the FaceBook profile of a person with a pre-exisitng phone number in my phone/sim card.The problem is that the phone seems to default to the Facebook 'profile picture' as the icon/photo that shows up in my People app (for that contact), even if tell it not to.I've tried downloading new pics, or taking a photo with the camera, and then manually setting this as the 'icon' for a certain person. This works for a while (a few hours?) and then within one day, the phone automatically re-sets this icon & replaces it with the Facebook profile pic. again.

View 3 Replies View RelatedNow I have dropped my Inc many times (I have the rubber case) and never had a problem. Well on Sunday I was coming home from the airport and dropped it perfectly about 3 feet directly on the screen on a rock and kablooey, it was shattered. I mean ruined to the point where you couldn't touch it without getting cut. However it actually still worked perfectly, but for obvious safety reasons I needed to get a new one. To make a long story short I got Verizon to send me a new one, and I couldn't be happier. Now they explained that I didn't receive a new one or a refurbished one, rather one that was returned immediately by someone.
It looks great, works perfectly and is running faster and smoother than my old one did. This is even after I did a backup from AppBrain to re-download over 130 apps. My only sadness is that I lost all my levels on Angry birds, and that I had to reset up my phone with all the little personalizations that I had before. Has anyone else had a similar experience with their replacement. My old phone (one that had received the update) It was constantly bogged down, and got better once I did a factory reset, however it still wasn't as smooth as my new one.
Any idea what's the best option I have to purchase and download entire music ALBUMS directly on my phone? Sorry, this is my first smartphone, so I don't know much. Are there any apps for it? Someone told me "Amazon MP3 Store" for Android. I went to MarketPlace and searched for "Amazon" but could not find any Amazon MP3 App. I tried to purchase an album from amazon.com, but it says I need to install an "Amazon MP3 downloader" to purchase albums and it does not give me an option to download a version for the Android OS (however, it asks me to select one of 4 linux distributions). The other option I have is to buy and download individual songs from amazon.com, but I don't want that. I want to download entire albums. What is the best option I have? (P.S: I am not looking for free music).
