I have seen my texts on my Incredible get randomly deleted three times in the past four days. Anytime I seem to have multiple text convos going on, I will get an error, and then all will go away.

This question is regarding the Droid Incredible.I want to be able to delete individual calls or texts instead of just clearing all of them. But, I do not see an option for that.Am I just missing it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMost of the people I keep in touch with live hours away, and while phone calls definitely have their place most of the time I just like the convenience of texting.The problem is that Android phones seem to have a difficult time deleting more than a couple hundred or so texts at a time.I experienced this with my Hero actually ended up getting rid of it after a few months because each time I tried to delete more than 100 texts or so it would freeze, reboot, and then RESEND random old texts to people.A dozen at a time.People were starting to think I was losing my mind, and I ended up getting rid of the phone.(sort of a funny problem now that I look back on it)At least the Evo hasn't sent random texts to people yet.It just throws a temper tantrum and completely refuses to delete large threads.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI went to try and open a message but the app kept bringing up an error and I'd have to force close it. The screen would then switch to my home screen but with no shortcuts just a background then after a second go black until I hit the home button. I restarted the phone and when I opened messaging ALL my conversations were gone. Is this a known glitch? is there a way to get all my texts back?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post here. Got my Desire recently and i am loving the phone. Like other i was having battery issues but following the advice here i was able to extend the battery life considerably, so im hoping someone here may know something about an issue om having.
Im using the Handscent app for text messaging. However over the last week or so when i go to open a new message, the application freezes and shuts down. When i go to open it again all my messages are deleted. They are also missing in the standard messaging app that came with the phone.
Has this happened to anyone else? If it did did you find a way to stop it happening?
Apps on my phone keep randomly deleting themselves without my permission first? anyone have any idea why this is happening its starting to annoy me.
View 3 Replies View RelatedCurrently I have over 2700 texts in one thread and as a result the messages app is seriously slow. But when I try to delete them the messages app crashes/freezes and even after killing the task it does not sort itself so I am forced to reboot.How the hell do I delete these!? Is there another way or do I need to wait for the next software update that I care about? The lag is the least of the issues, I believe this is also causing SMS Popup to crash (now uninstalled) but I really love this app.
View 40 Replies View RelatedHad my desire for about 4 months now, tres happy with it, one of the first apps i downloaded to use instead of the stock was Handcent for SMS.Today I take it out to send a text and the conversation screen is blank!Can't find texts anywhere - including if I go into the traditional 'messaging'.And then to top it off, I send a text to my sister and it goes to my wife!? Despite the conversation window showing the correct name and profile photo.Anyone else had any issues with Handcent? Reading other posts, I now know that its also a battery drainer, so I'll be uninstalling it, but I'd like me messages back first!

View 7 Replies View RelatedWell i plan on developing for android now and figure i'd sign up.I've only had it only for like 1.5 days now, installed a few apps here or there. Well i installed pandora and have pandora one, i've also bluetooth'd it to my car stereo on the way home yesterday.Well tonite i was messing around it some more and noticed there are about 8 songs that i didn't download or transfer in the HTC Music player, they are songs/artist that i've possibly listen to in pandora. I'm not sure if pandora downloads songs and the htc player picked found them. So i tried to play a couple songs, skip a few and nothing new appeared in the htc player.

All of a sudden the last two days my phone has been restarting randomly, mostly like two minutes into using the phone. It doesn't though go to the HTC Incredible screen but rather the HTC Quietly Brilliant, quickly to Verizon Wireless screen and into the OS. I see the CPU doing heavy duty work using all but 100% yet I checked System Panel and I don't see anything using that much usage. Again this has just started the last two days or so. Never before have I had this problem. Anyone else just in the last few days?

Anyone else seen this happen to their Incredible? Do you think it's an application? Because there were no actual notifications or alerts at the time. This isn't the first time I've seen this happen either. . .

View 5 Replies View RelatedAnyone else having an issue with their WiFi dropping at random times? I'm about 25' from my Verizon router, so signal strength isn't an issue. I don't even know when it's happening most of the time. I only realize because opening a page or downloading something is slow. I have the Sleep Policy set to Never, so it's not that. The strange thing is is I go into Wireless Settings, as soon as I click on Wireless, it picks the router back up and reconnects. I have several other devices on WiFi here and they are all working perfectly fine.

Has anyone else had their SD card just randomly unmount? The first time I thought it must have been random but it happened again to me today. I was just changing screens and I came to my photo album widget and then the little triangle with the exclamation point popped up and said I should unmount my SD card before I remove it.
So i popped off my case and then the back cover to see that my SD card was firmly inside the phone. I took it out and put it back in and my phone reboot itself.
Anyone else getting this random issue?
The lights on the 4 icons at the bottom randomly turn on and off, is it a bug or something? I read another post that said that the light sensor activated them but:
1: It was on standby
and
2: There was no change in the lighting where I was
Will Froyo fix this?
my incredible reboots randomly, first noticed one while on a phone call with my dad. It was over bluetooth in car with navigation & gps on. It rebooted mid conversation. I was on 95 in baltimore with 4 bars and 3g. Everything since has been while listening to slacker. Either while phone is sitting there or while surffing the web. Once was while listening in the car in philadelphia on 95 no navigation (always 2-3 bars and 3g) and it didn't start crashing until about two weeks ago. Every crash has been while plugged into a charger also. I haven't noticed any crashes off charger.

I'm not sure when it started exactly but I'm sure it was after I updated to OTA 2.2.It's not hot or does anything else just that the screen turns on, stays on for like 2 seconds, and than the screen turns off. It seems to occur randomly. Is anybody else having this issue?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI just noticed this since the latest update, not sure if it was there or not, and not sure if there is an app that may have recently been updated causing this, but every 5 minutes or so, my screen will flash on for a second or so, and then turn off again. It's rather maddening. Anyone have any idea what might be causing this?
View 5 Replies View RelatedEver since I received the froyo update, my phone will randomly state "BATTERY IS FULL". This happens generally below 90%, sometimes as low as 60%. Even stranger, this only happens when the phone isn't being charged. And it never happens when the battery is actually full.

My phone has recently started to randomly drop 3G so that I am unable to surf the web, receive emails etc. Does anyone know what might be causing this problem? I live in South Florida where 3G has always been fine. I would greatly appreciate anybody's input. Rebooting the phone helps for a while.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI keep running into a weird scenario with my Incredible (non-rooted, Android 2.1) where the notification sound changes to one of the other files on my SD card. I can't seem to make the notification sound stick.For example: this morning, I unmounted the SD card after syncing with Doubletwist on my PC and got into my car. When I turned on the car, the phone connected via Bluetooth to the stereo. Upon connection, the phone made a notification sound, but that sound had been changed from the default notification sound to one of my MP3s.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my phone whenever I use the music player or Pandora or anything with music, and I plug in my headphones it messes up. It'll work normal and then all of a sudden itll switch to a headset icon and the music messes up. I have to take out the headphones and plug them back in, and on Pandora I have to switch songs also. I've tried 3 sets of headphones and even a pair of speakers. Tried search, didn't find anything.
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor about a week now the Internet is not accessible randomly on my phone. Either a site will not load at all, or I will get a partial page. Either way, something is messed up. I've called Verizon about this a few times and they can't figure it out. They had me check some settings on my phone, checked my version, done the #228 thing, checked the towers. Now they say that the only other options are to replace my phone or reset the whole thing to factory.
I've been through too many phones. I'm done with switching phones and resetting them. And I can't believe that it's the phone or Google as the last person suggested. I use a lot of data. I'm up to 1GB right now and still have 19 more days in the billing cycle. I think they are throttling my connection.
Has anyone else been experiencing this. Sometimes when I click on the Home Screen button, it doesn't always go to the home screen, it might go to the screen to the right or left of it.
also sometimes when I lock the phone and then when I unlock it, it doesn't always go to the home screen. it might jump around.
Sometimes when I hit the home screen or down error right above it, the desk clock appears.
this is all very strange, just wondering what all of your thoughts are. Could it be a particular app that I downloaded.
