This question is regarding the Droid Incredible.I want to be able to delete individual calls or texts instead of just clearing all of them. But, I do not see an option for that.Am I just missing it?

Got my X10 this morning and I can't for the life of me find out how to delete individual texts instead of the whole thread. How can I save the important ones whilst clearing out the dead wood? I've been trawling through here all day so.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI missed mytouch from when I had tmobile and got the Samsung intercept from sprint(back to my old plan) and I love it. However I've always loved on sprint phones being able to customize absolutely everything. I could make a ringer for someone when they call(which yes, I know how to do this on my android and have) but I also was able to make a special text/sms/notification ringtone for individuals as well. I only like hearing the message alert for certain people and then silent/vibrate for everyone else so it's getting frustrating. Are there any apps that do this? or any way to at all?

I am going to be using the ustream broadcaster app over 3g to stream a concert this weekend.
I do not want the app to be interrupted by anything while im using it.. no phone calls, no txt and no notifications. As it is now if a phone call comes through it will interrupt the app to take the call. If I decline the call the stream will not restart by itself. I know i can turn off different apps notifications but how can I go about not letting phone calls or txts through?
I cant just put it into airplane mode since i need 3g and im a little lost on what options I would have.
I have a couple different devices to sell (one on stock JB 4.1.2 and one on CM 10.2.1) and I would prefer not to factory reset them. If I go through each individual app and clear its data and cache and also delete any accounts I have set up (e.g., Facebook, Gmail), does that get rid on my identifying information the same as a factory reset would?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMost of the people I keep in touch with live hours away, and while phone calls definitely have their place most of the time I just like the convenience of texting.The problem is that Android phones seem to have a difficult time deleting more than a couple hundred or so texts at a time.I experienced this with my Hero actually ended up getting rid of it after a few months because each time I tried to delete more than 100 texts or so it would freeze, reboot, and then RESEND random old texts to people.A dozen at a time.People were starting to think I was losing my mind, and I ended up getting rid of the phone.(sort of a funny problem now that I look back on it)At least the Evo hasn't sent random texts to people yet.It just throws a temper tantrum and completely refuses to delete large threads.

View 6 Replies View RelatedCurrently I have over 2700 texts in one thread and as a result the messages app is seriously slow. But when I try to delete them the messages app crashes/freezes and even after killing the task it does not sort itself so I am forced to reboot.How the hell do I delete these!? Is there another way or do I need to wait for the next software update that I care about? The lag is the least of the issues, I believe this is also causing SMS Popup to crash (now uninstalled) but I really love this app.
View 40 Replies View RelatedHad my desire for about 4 months now, tres happy with it, one of the first apps i downloaded to use instead of the stock was Handcent for SMS.Today I take it out to send a text and the conversation screen is blank!Can't find texts anywhere - including if I go into the traditional 'messaging'.And then to top it off, I send a text to my sister and it goes to my wife!? Despite the conversation window showing the correct name and profile photo.Anyone else had any issues with Handcent? Reading other posts, I now know that its also a battery drainer, so I'll be uninstalling it, but I'd like me messages back first!

View 5 Replies View RelatedFor some reason my EVO has decided to stop accepting any incoming calls, texts, or voice mails. I was only able to receive these messages when I was able to get a call to connect and I got a flood of voice mails and texts as if it hadn't been connected to the network the entire time. It also does this thing where it doesn't connect the call when I dial someone. Instead of connecting and seeing the time duration for the call appear, it instead takes forever to connect and just says dialing for a really long time. It was doing it last night, and then this morning it seemed to be normal again, but now it's doing it again. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I won't have time to go to sprint until Monday and this is really irritating me.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is the only phone that it's ever happened to. Since I got the Droid, I've been missing calls. Not like I have missed calls. The only calls that are okay are the ones that I make. Everyone is telling me that when they call me it rings about 3 times and then just hangs up. Like I ignored it but didn't go to vmail. However, none of these calls are going through at ALL so I'm not ignoring the calls.
Also, everyone is texting me saying that I never texted them back when I know I did.
Ive only had one problem with my evo so far. while disconnected from the 4g network, an running on the 3G, i am unable to access the internet at all. i can still recieve Txts and calls, but no internet. anyone else have this problem?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThere's actually a phone made by Fujitsu that's similar in that it can be booted into the full desktop windows 7 32 bit by the switch of a button. The downside I see to it is that when you are running it the phones radio is turned off so you can't receive calls or texts also the phone UI is some proprietary Fujitsu software. Needless to say it looks pretty lame compared to Android but nevertheless it's still pretty awesome looking. Here's a few links: URLs....

Can I delete some calls without erasing all of them?
If it's not possible with the phone itself, Is there another way to do it? Maybe dowloading an app from the Android Market?
I?ve had my HTC desire for about 3 weeks until now not had any problems, but now i can?t seem to make or receive calls or text. When I try to ring someone it just beeps and ends the call. When someone rings me it says unavailable. Nor can i send or receive texts. I?ve spoken to my network operator and everything is fine on their end and also got a new sim card from them just in case it was a sim card fault. Anyone know what the problem could be?

Everything worked OK. Today I tried Cyanogen and it seemed to work OK. I've tried to install a couple of themes. One worked and one didn't.
I don't know when, but my phone will now not send or receive texts or calls. I still have a 3G data connection (back to MoDaCo) and the internet and Market work fine.
I really don't know what to do. The recovery image "recovery-ra-nexus..." seems to have disappeared from the bootloader. The phone isn't bricked so I guess that there is a way out of this?
SO I've restored my first Nand Backup which is the recovery image ra-nexus-v1.7.0.
It quoted restore complete. I backed up and rebooted. Weird thing is it boots up into Cyanogen ROM!!! And now I have no service, NOTHING!

Just got my refurbished Captivate in the mail today, charged and activated it as per the instructions. It worked just fine for about 30 minutes or so. I put on a few apps and showed them off to my roommate, and things were going fine. Then all of a sudden I couldn't send or receive phone calls, nor was I able to get/send text messages. With no pattern or logic I would go from 3g to edge to neither of the two symbols (just full signal strength) to the international no sign where my full bars just were. If I typed and tried to send a text while the no sign was visible it would send and receive texts as soon as I got signal back, but that would only last a few minutes.
I've tried hard and soft resets and restoring the phone to factory settings, all to no avail, as well as checking my message center number. I've looked around in the forums and can't seem to find anyone who has had this problem, and I was hoping someone would have some advice or could point me to a thread that I may have missed. I'd talk to AT&T but chat hours are over and I have to be up early for work tomorrow and need my phone for that, so I'm not sure I can ask customer service tomorrow beforehand.
I activated my phone Friday night (2 days ago) and started using the phone only on Saturday morning. A few calls are going through but almost ALL are being disconnected back to the previous/home screen after one or two rings -- INCLUDING, now, *611 and *228. Called tech services this morning and am now on hold (15 min. so far!), from a land line. Texts from my family have not shown up, since yesterday and this morning. Did a soft reset this morning.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone and put fresh 1.1 on it a couple days ago, it received calls after rooting, but recently it stopped receiving calls, and it never received texts or visual voice mails. Gmail still pushes new email to it, and the internet works fine to update things and look at websites.
I tried to restore with nandroid and it took fresh off of it but it still doesn't do text, don't know about calls but i doubt it. also when i rooted it i removed sprint tv, nascar, foot prints and a couple other stock apps. after i found it wasn't getting texts i removed advanced task killer, but it didn't have any effect.
Does anyone know if I need a special app to be reminded of calls/texts that I've missed? I've had this feature on Motorola phones and on Samsung.
Ideally, if I miss a call and/or text, I would like to be reminded every n minutes either by vibrate or by ringtone (whichever's activated) until I acknowledge the missed call/text.
I don't know how people live without this. I've had a Nkia for 18 months and I got tired of having to look at the screen of the phone every time I finished taking a walk(could never feel vibrates while walking) taking a shower (they're not waterproof yet), etc.
I work in a hospital so I'm surrounded by many thick walls and it seems to drain my battery a lot. If I turn on wifi and turn off mobile network, will i still be able to receive texts and phone calls?
View 12 Replies View RelatedMy Droid never vibrates, ever. No matter if it is set to vibrate only, silent, or max sound. It doesn't vibrate for calls, texts or for anything. I set vibrate on for both, calls and texts - and it never vibrates. I temporarily installed other apps to see if the phone is physically able to vibrate, and it is. I am not sure if I am missing an option, or if there is a software malfunction.
