Was just wondering if anyone else put on a phantom skin for their DI...I am new at the whole "get your protector wet" application and am trying to figure out how long it takes for the moisture trapped in the screen to dissipate so it is clear. I really hope I didn't do it wrong, as it is mostly clear, but still pockets of a "cloudy" look.

We made sure our hands were clean, and kept our fingers wet while applying...Anyone offer any advice or tricks to get this perfect?
View 9 Replies View RelatedMine just started registering phantom screen touches a little while ago.It seems to think there is either and up-swipe or some kind of touch near the top of the screen randomly. For example, an email or list will constantly be scrolling up or if I leave it on a screen with Power Panel on it, one of the icons will randomly highlight orange. The page with the google search widget will have the search field highlight orange on it's own too. When entering text, the cursor will randomly jump back to the beginning.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've read another related thread with a similar issue but it died down and I'm surprised this hasn't turned into a bigger deal. My Incredible has been chronically swiping to the left I'd say 95% of the time I use it. It is almost definitely the track pad. Nothing is actually being tapped, just swiped. This sucks when it moves on its own to the far left screen, but it is insanely annoying when typing a text message/email and the cursor just races to the left of the message. Ah! I have tried pulling the battery, swabbing the track pad with alcohol, fully draining and charging the battery, but to no luck. The only way to make it stop is to press the track pad, and even then, sometimes it doesn't stop or just starts 10 seconds later. I really DO NOT want to return my current Incredible for a new one because then I'll be stuck with the newer (and cheaper/crappier) screens that are being shipped now. I love the contrast and vibrancy of the screen and don't want to be downgraded! Has anyone found a fix for this? I hope, but doubt the upcoming OTA will help. I know this isn't an isolated issue as a couple of my friends with the INC are experiencing the same issue.

View 15 Replies View RelatedTitle says it all. I do not pay the extra corporate email fee but I have never had problems with emails pushing to my phone. I've checked all the settings, rebooted the phone, pulled the battery.
Before going through the circus of asking someone in IT at my office if there is a problem I figured I would ask for suggestions here.
Settings are:

Not the default Account
I have an extra Zagg and an extra PS that I'm thinking about cutting and sizing to fit the camera lens. I'm opposed to using any kind of cover, but these leaves the camera cover exposed. The only potential problem I see is my photo shots coming out blurry, and I'll most likely use the PS as it is a little bit more transparent than the Zagg.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI put a Zagg Invisible shield on but did not like the super glossy orange peel look so I removed it. I checked out the steinheils website and some youtube vids and they look really nice. Is the only difference between the steinheil crystal and the anti-fingerprint the finish? I'm not too sure I'd like the matte finish as I would think it would slightly dull the brightness of the display. I've also seen the Phantom skinz and the orange peel effect seems to be a bit better than on the Zagg. Anyone with experience using both Zagg and Phantom SKinz products how do they compare? Does either of the two have a definitive advantage over the other in terms of appearance and feel of the coating while sliding your finger over it.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am still experiencing phantom swipes (only to the left) on my Incredible. Putting a piece of duck tape over the optical track pad seems to resolve it. This has been ongoing for about a month and a half. I have a warantee but really don't want to wait for my new phone/get one of the newer LCD phones. I have been able to recreate the phantom swipe by moving the phone under different light sources. This is so annoying.
I have tried everything, there isn't dust on my track pad and its not a matter of grounding. I really hope this is not a hardware issue. I got my Inc by pre-order (original with AMOLED). I have been able to toy with some of the newer Inc builds (with the LCD screen). I have noticed the trackpad is more flush with the unit, this leads me to believe they reworked the hardware to fix an issue. Anyone else with the original AMOLED Inc builds experiencing this?

View 10 Replies View RelatedSo I chose to get a Phantom Skinz after reading the reviews. My older Droid was having major reboot issues, so I just exchanged it 3 days ago. Once I determined this new Droid had no glaring issues, it was off to install my phantom...Took 1.5 hours. Wasn't thrilled at the way the corners worked, but it was doable. HOWEVER, when I went to take the dog out and bent over to pick up a ball to throw for him, the once-sticky droid (now slick with the full body skinz), slipped right out of my hoodie pocket. OF COURSE the only place that was scratched was the 1mm of bezel that is not covered by the strangely-engineered top/corner cover. Kinda ticked that I wasted, 1.5 hours, only to make my phone slick enough to fall and have it scratched where the "full body" cover didn't cover.

Has anyone ever felt their phone vibrate in their pocket only to power on the screen to find out it didnt really go off (phantom vibration). Well for me, its now the LEDs. For most of the day, the droid sits on my desk and i'll look at it every now and again to see if the light is blinking to see if i have an unread message. Every now and again i'll see it blink when there are no new notifications, and its making me feel crazy. anyone else get this at all?

I've used this brand in the past for all my Blackberries, and they were always great. But this time the fit was not perfect. And I'm a little ocd about that kind of thing.I wish they refunded, since they were the most expensive option. I'm going to try out the next group, I guess.One suggestion to those who go with Phantom Skinz. I would leave the back off. It doesn't look great, and soon you will be able to replace the back of the phone for about the same price as a new skin.

I contacted Phantom Skinz customer support and this seems to have no effect on the actual phone. May not be interesting to some but to some of the ladies who wanna add a little glam to a seemingly masculine phone this seems to be a viable option. Update: I have finished my case. View 20 Replies View RelatedI just applied the phantom skinz to my phone and stupidly I applied it to my phone and it was all good but left a smudge so while battery and phone on, I reapplied the screen protector without realizing the phone was still on... now it seems like there was too much water and the screen is distorted. Anyone know if I really messed up my phone or is it possible that its just water that needs to evaporate or do I need to go to radio shack and get a replace (if possible)?

So I just figured nobody e-mailed me today, which is weird. So I just went to my gmail account on my laptop and I have 14 unread e-mails that were sent to my gmail account today. So I went to my gmail app on my phone and clicked refresh and the e-mails did not show up on my phone. Its like its not even recognizing my gmail. Any help. I powered down and turned it back up and still nothing. Usually powering down then back up helps little issues like this. what gives.

Usually, killing the app or restarting the phone works, just annoying sometimes. Opening it into another window sometimes works, unless it thinks you're trying to copy/paste the text.

But I'm really getting tired of having to push the on/off button to do it. Plus I'm concerned that I'll eventually shorten the life on the button with as many times as I push it. Having said that, are there any apps/widgets to put the phone to sleep instead of using the button. I've searched the market and appbrain and found nothing. View 4 Replies View RelatedSo Ive been tweaking my phone to where I want it, outside of rooting. Anyways, I do what some old friends from nitro racing called "force charging". Basically been talked about here several threads, charging to full, unplugging it (I then use it briefly, web, txt, anything) then plug the charger back in, 2-3 times or untill its still green when I plug it back in. As of the moment, im at almost 72 hours with 30% battery left. Granted its only under what most of you would consider light/moderate use Im pretty happy. I make 4-5 outgoing calls a day, and get maybe 4-5 incoming. 10-20+ txts a day, my daughter usually surfs for an hour in incriments streaming You Tube videos. And some other lil stuff, all things considered I think its doing well. As I said, im not rooted, manually using ATK after I play games/surf etc, screen brightness 35%, 4g/wifi all that turned off unless needed, no live wallpaper. Also did the CDMA deal and whatnot, thats it though! Nothing special, pics to come. Seeing how far I can stretch it over 70 hours!

The Market still seems to function to load other apps but I have tried pulling the battery, cleaning the cache etc and no matter what I do when I go back to the downloads page the install on this app is still in progress. The Captivate is not rooted and I am not really keen on a hard reset as I have lots of apps and data. Any ideas from you pros out there?

Since my upgrade to round #2 of the 2.1 leak, (which I love) I am always finding out that I have anywhere from 9 - 13 apps running out of the blue. I use ATK to kill them, but even when not opening apps, when I kill, there will be so many that were running. Question is, does anyone else have this problem, and what do I need to do to keep them from starting by themselves? Very frustrating when the phone lags because of this. Besides that, it kills the battery.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI purchased a Galaxy S through Bell in Canada a few days ago and it's been great, except for an issue that started just this morning. The phone keeps bringing up the context menu at random when I have not hit the key to do so. Sometimes I can use it for ten minutes without an issue, other times it will flip on/off repeatedly ever few seconds for a 15 second period or so. This is definitely not an issue of me pressing the key by mistake; I can lay the phone on the table and it will trigger the key on/off on its own.
I've tried:
- Cleaning the screen several times
- Rebooting
- Deleting pretty much every app I downloaded
- Total factory reset (from the boot menu)
After the factory reset the problem still exists, which leads me to believe it may be a hardware issue. I haven't seen any other posts regarding this issue, has anyone seen something like this before?
