View 2 RepliesHas anyone else experienced this since MR2? I would receive alerts to new gmails instantly before MR2, and now I'm lucky if I even get them at all without going into the app and hitting refresh. I checked all my settings and it does appear to be set to automatically sync.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWell this happened once before shortly after MR2, but it was short-lived, now, once again, no many how many times I soft-reset, check my settings, manually retrieve, whatever, my gmail does not appear to push.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm on lunch and don't have time to seach. DOes anyone else have a problem with gmail not pushing now? I have to manually refresh. I checked sync settings and google Is checked. How do I remedy this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got some code that downloads mp3s remotely over a streaming url connection... This all works fine but my problem is once the file is complete and I pull up the music app it's not there. A reboot of the phone and it now shows up... anyone know how to force this refresh to occur from without my code?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo My evo has been running pretty damn good. Then this evening I realized that I have not received any e-mails pushed to my gmail app on my phone. So I just figured nobody e-mailed me today, which is weird. So I just went to my gmail account on my laptop and I have 14 unread e-mails that were sent to my gmail account today. So I went to my gmail app on my phone and clicked refresh and the e-mails did not show up on my phone. Its like its not even recognizing my gmail. Any help. I powered down and turned it back up and still nothing. Usually powering down then back up helps little issues like this. what gives.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAnyone had this happen? I just got pushed an app I didn't install or even know about. I picked up my phone and watched it download and install Photostich Free. Anyone used the App Sharing feature in Froyo?
View 7 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone else have an issue when the links stop working on the browser? They'll highlight like it's clicked on, but goes no where, not even a loading bar. Usually, killing the app or restarting the phone works, just annoying sometimes. Opening it into another window sometimes works, unless it thinks you're trying to copy/paste the text.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI like to put my EVO to sleep after using it and before I put it back in my jacket pocket or belt case. But I'm really getting tired of having to push the on/off button to do it. Plus I'm concerned that I'll eventually shorten the life on the button with as many times as I push it. Having said that, are there any apps/widgets to put the phone to sleep instead of using the button. I've searched the market and appbrain and found nothing. I've done a general google search and found nothing. Of course I could have been searching using the wrong terms so please don't flame me if there's something obvious.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo Ive been tweaking my phone to where I want it, outside of rooting. Anyways, I do what some old friends from nitro racing called "force charging". Basically been talked about here several threads, charging to full, unplugging it (I then use it briefly, web, txt, anything) then plug the charger back in, 2-3 times or untill its still green when I plug it back in. As of the moment, im at almost 72 hours with 30% battery left. Granted its only under what most of you would consider light/moderate use Im pretty happy. I make 4-5 outgoing calls a day, and get maybe 4-5 incoming. 10-20+ txts a day, my daughter usually surfs for an hour in incriments streaming You Tube videos. And some other lil stuff, all things considered I think its doing well. As I said, im not rooted, manually using ATK after I play games/surf etc, screen brightness 35%, 4g/wifi all that turned off unless needed, no live wallpaper. Also did the CDMA deal and whatnot, thats it though! Nothing special, pics to come. Seeing how far I can stretch it over 70 hours!
View 2 Replies View Relatedjust got my first android device today (the droid) and I wanted to ask you guys, does the gmail app receive emailes via push? I've sent a coupl of emails to my device, and they wont pop up in the gmail app unless i refresh it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that when I'm not on wifi, my gmail is no longer pushing to my phone, but will delivery whenever I wake the phone up. I never had this problem before with gmail even with "Always On Mobile Data" disabled, but now it seems like the as soon as the 3G radio goes to sleep, I don't get anything until it wakes back up. Any one else having this problem with the latest version of the gmail.app?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to root my EVO, it's never been rooted before, but I'm stuck at the screen that says "Pushing recovery image." and it's been about 6 minutes now. During the rooting process, I wasn't allowed to install the HBoot drivers on my computer (I'm running windows 7, 32 bit) but I figured that maybe they were already installed on my computer because I have the android SDK installed..
View 5 Replies View RelatedIn the last day or so Gmail has intermittently stopped pushing to my EVO. I can hit refresh and the mail appears. All settings are correct, background data, auto-sync and the Gmail account are all checked.

View 2 Replies View RelatedBeen running Fresh 2.1.1 for about a week now and it seems pretty good. But with 2.1.2 just out I'm planning on flashing that as soon as possible. I've been running the stock radio and RA and wanted to get some feedback on weather it would be beneficial to update both the radio and RA to the newest versions available before I flash to 2.1.2. My awake time is at about 10% and cell standby is using 48% of my battery while phone idle is using 44%. Does this sound normal? If not would flashing a new radio and RA help resolve these issues?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI haven't messed with my settings on my phone about data delivery. Somehow my gmail wont push my mail through, i have to manually refresh it.
Background data is on
Data Roaming is off
Data enabled is on
All my accounts are synced
Notification is on.
I did a reboot just to see and it still didnt fix. is there anyway to fix this?
After 5 days of perfection, my gmail won't push anymore. Everything is set to sync so, I turned off sync, turned it on again, then it pushes, but won't after that. (it's been 24 hrs now)
View 15 Replies View RelatedI am trying to push up the views in my activity whenever a soft keyboard comes up. I have been partially successful in this, except that certain views remain hidden behind the soft keyboard.
My XML looks like the below. I am specifying the last RelativeLayout RL3 containing buttons with the attribute: android:layout_alignParentBottom="true" so that they stay above the soft keyboard when it comes up. However. the scrollview SV1 which is above the last RelativeLayout RL3 is not scrolling up completely and so a part of the scroll view remains hidden behind the soft keyboard. I have tried to set paddingBottom=70px but that still does not make the scroll view go up.
CODE:...................
Title says it all. I do not pay the extra corporate email fee but I have never had problems with emails pushing to my phone. I've checked all the settings, rebooted the phone, pulled the battery.
Before going through the circus of asking someone in IT at my office if there is a problem I figured I would ask for suggestions here.
Settings are:
Download Frequency: As they arrive
Include File Attachment: Never
Mail Size Limit: Entire email
Not the default Account
As long as I have the requisite SDK files and a terminal on an Android device, or if I'm doing this programmatically in an app I'd develop, can I use adb to push a file from one device to another that's connected via USB? The devices will be a Nexus 4 and probably a Nexus 7. The N7 would be the sender, fwiw. I'm hoping that it's not required that the device executing the adb push commands be a computer as opposed to a mobile device.
I'm assuming that I can find a cable that's micro USB (if that's what it's called) at both ends to connect the two devices.
Is it possible to do the same thing via a Bluetooth connection? Or can adb only recognize a device connected via USB?
For some reason my Twitter app isn't pushing notifications to my device. I have it set to sync data every 5 minutes and it still isn't pushing any notifications even after 5 minutes. I'm not really sure if the sync setting has anything to do with notifications though.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have purchased an MK802 which I intent to use as a mediacenter. I have my 1TB hdd hooked up to it now, but I am having problems find finding an App that allows me to:
Browse the hdd without setting up a mediaserver, and then push a selected file via dlna/upnp
To my Samsung tv. I do this all the time from my windows 7 pc (right click, play to, select source).
I am having problems with just finding a DLNA app that supports USB.
I've rooted with pure hero 1.1 on my phone and want to push the HTC keyboard and contacts list. I have the apk files for both I have fresh pre-kitchen 0.2 and I get an error when trying to push files and can't see the files I want to pull with it. So I guess what my question is how and what is the best way to push and pull files onto the phone?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to get the apps off of my incredible, that no longer has service, so I can install them on to my x? I have an older version of handcent on my incredible and I want to see if that version will work on my x, since the version in the market place does not.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is driving me nuts because I had the hero and swapped it out to the Moment and it did the same thing. I am using the Gmail app and whenever I get new mail I have to go into the ALL MAIL label to see it even though the mail has a Inbox tag on it. By doing this I don't get any notifications of new mail and must check it manually. I've tried clearing out Gmail app and Gmail storage but it will only sync once and stop again. So anyone having the same problem? Gmail not pushing mail into the in-box? I posted on Google help forums but so far people only told me to clear data of the applications.
View 5 Replies View RelatedNot sure why but yesterday, my gmail stopped pushing through. If I hit refresh it will come through. Any ideas as to why this has happened?
View 9 Replies View RelatedHas anyone noticed their gmail not really PUSHING anymore? I think it's happened since the required update Verizon sent out this morning. I have to hit Refresh to get the new stuff to dump. Anyone else have this problem and/or know what's up?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a vertical sliding drawer at the bottom of my app. When the soft keyboard opens, it pushes the tab for the drawer up, so it sits atop the keyboard. I actually want it to remain at the bottom of the screen, becoming hidden when the keyboard is shown.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI setup my yahoo mail on the droid and for some reason it is not notifying when i get new email. I have to physically go in and check it, I am a former blackberry user, and if youve owned a blackberry you know how convenient the email push is! I have the timer set to 5 mins and it is not receiving them unless i manually go in.
