Motorola Droid 2 : Open SetCPU For Profiles To Notice My Priority?
Oct 7, 2010Ive got several profiles and sometimes it seems I have to open SetCPU for it to notice my priority. For instance I have 75 priority on >75 for it to be 800 and 1000 higher obviously. Well my phone was at 70 of course I didn't know the exact number and it showed 1000 but I clicked on SetCPU then clicked profiles and it dropped to 800. I'm not sure if you just have to click on the app and it updates or you have to click on it to refresh the screen. I've noticed it does this from time to time. Anyone have this problem?

Motorola Droid :: Use Phantom Skin
Dec 18, 2009So I chose to get a Phantom Skinz after reading the reviews. My older Droid was having major reboot issues, so I just exchanged it 3 days ago. Once I determined this new Droid had no glaring issues, it was off to install my phantom...Took 1.5 hours. Wasn't thrilled at the way the corners worked, but it was doable. HOWEVER, when I went to take the dog out and bent over to pick up a ball to throw for him, the once-sticky droid (now slick with the full body skinz), slipped right out of my hoodie pocket. OF COURSE the only place that was scratched was the 1mm of bezel that is not covered by the strangely-engineered top/corner cover. Kinda ticked that I wasted, 1.5 hours, only to make my phone slick enough to fall and have it scratched where the "full body" cover didn't cover.

Apr 6, 2010This is the first phone that I've owned that has LED notifications, and I've become very reliant on them. Has anyone ever felt their phone vibrate in their pocket only to power on the screen to find out it didnt really go off (phantom vibration). Well for me, its now the LEDs. For most of the day, the droid sits on my desk and i'll look at it every now and again to see if the light is blinking to see if i have an unread message. Every now and again i'll see it blink when there are no new notifications, and its making me feel crazy. anyone else get this at all?

Sep 29, 2010Lately it seems that installing or updating an app is about a 50/50 chance of failure. This is both before and after I rooted. Then I installed LithiumMod and see the same thing. It doesn't appear to be any particular apps, and I've noticed it most recently with pandora update, wow armory, angry birds lite, and others. It makes the phone very useless in the instance where I need a new app and can't get it to work.
Going to Settings > Applications > Market > Clear Data seems to work... again, 50/50. Doesn't fix it every time.
Any ideas? I've googled around and most solutions are the "clear data" method, or just "try it again".
Motorola Droid :: Phantom Skinz Doesn't Fit Quite Right
Nov 13, 2009So I got my phantom skinz screen protector today. I went to put it on and it didn't fit. It was too small by about a 1mm on each side (length and width). I thought these things were supposed to be slug fits. Is this normal or should I contact them?

Nov 17, 2009I tried installing the Phantom Skinz I received yesterday and I couldn't for the life of me get the smaller pieces for the sides of the phone (only tried the sides on the top half of the phone) to stick. They would just slide right off and would not adhere to the phone. It was especially bad around the corners. I have installed many of these (multiple phones, macbook, ipods, etc...) and I have never had this much trouble installing one. Any suggestions from you guys who have installed one of these on the Droid? What should I mix the water with to get the best stick? I tried a drop of dish soap and that obviously didn't work. I did get the one on the screen fine (however there are some bubbles that still haven't went away after 24 hours !)

Nov 21, 2010Ok, there is literally no way that I'm the only one who has asked this question but I can't find the answer by searching. Here's my problem, after I flash my rom and restart my phone the market begins auto-downloading all the apps I previously had installed. I do not want this bc I use titanium backup for all of that.
I know I can avoid it temporarily if I skip entering my email address, but there has to be a setting for me to un check that will make it not try to auto download anything once I do add my account.
I'm sure you guys have all run into this by now, so can someone please tell me what setting will resolve this issue?

I have had every single one I am listing, I have used them each for about 1 month to 2 months, so I know what I am talking about. Here they are. With each one, at the end I will include scores ranging from 0-5. And the overall, average of each one. Grip- How well each one is set down on something and able to remain put during a drive or something, and how it feels in the hands.
Screen Feel- How close and nice it feels to the screen. Protection/Scratch Test- How it preforms to the normal keys in the pocket and nails etc, hitting the screen and phone. Price- Worth the price paid? How well of a deal it is. Installation- How easy it was. Overall- The average of the 5. Background= All were installed using Zagg Spray. I used each for about 1-2 Months Each. I only bought the Full Body Protection. The Zagg Cost me 19.99 for one. The Phantomz Skinz cost me 25 for Two. And Stealth Guard cost me 9.99 for TWO. Since my upgrade to round #2 of the 2.1 leak, (which I love) I am always finding out that I have anywhere from 9 - 13 apps running out of the blue. I use ATK to kill them, but even when not opening apps, when I kill, there will be so many that were running. Question is, does anyone else have this problem, and what do I need to do to keep them from starting by themselves? Very frustrating when the phone lags because of this. Besides that, it kills the battery.

Jul 1, 2010I am not receiving voicemail notifications. I am not using GV, just the Sprint service. I am not getting the little cassette looking icon or any other indicator that I have voicemail. Have not received any visual voicemails either. I do get the missed call notification. If I call my voicemail there are messages waiting.
Did some digging on the forum and found other voicemail issues, but not this one, at least with my word combos. I unchecked and checked the notification option under voicemail to see if this would jump start it.
Android :: Out Of Disk Space Notice When It's Not

HTC Hero with 8gigs of memory installed. 2.1 OS.Like the title says: I am getting an error saying Low on disk space, but I have 6gigs free out of an 8gig MicroSd card. What gives? I suspect all my apps must be installing to the internal memory? Which is low with only 20megs left.I am almost sure that is what's happening. Is this by design? If so, is there a way I can install all my apps to the microsd card? I also have Astro File Manager installed and it is managing my systemapps cache and has placed the dir on: tmp/.astro/ So it's not a cache issue. Any ideas?

Nov 6, 2010Nexus 1, although seen many phones have this same issue also 32gig micro sd. Updates just dont happen like they should on automatic updates. The update progress bar just sits there and notice comes up "update unsuccessful" looked everywhere but this seemed to work fine.
1. Unmount SD
2. Go back to each download (market download)
3. Cancel download
4. Then it takes you to app. push install
5. Download restarts and installs fine
6. Then go back and remount SD under phone settings
7. Then go to phone settings, applications, manage apps,
8. Pick the apps you just installed and move them to the sd card if possible.

But the software information of my phone is showing "Andriod Version is 2.2" and the software number is 2.13.707.1. Nov 30, 2013I have a tmobile Galaxy S3, pretty much stock. Ever since I got the recent 4.3 OTA upgrade constantly. Several times per hour, sometimes several times per minute. Sometimes I'll see it appear then flash away and come back while I'm staring at it, making it hard to pick things off the notification menu for all the jumping around.
I did once (months ago) download that from either the web or Google Drive (I suspect the later)... I can't open the file (it says "This Document Cannot be Opened" if I click on it) and the notice comes back. Even if I download another copy, I still get the notice, clearing Drive's cache didn't fix it, neither did uininstalling Drive altogether).

Each time the login form is submitted, the WebView asks whether the password should be stored now, later, or never (the typical dialog when logging in with the Android Browser). Mar 2, 2010You know what's odd. I've never gotten an apps update notice in the notification bar. When I'm using the MyTouch I get them all the time but never have I seen it with the Behold II.
I just assumed that it wasn't a feature with 1.5
Usually I just go to market and check my downloads to see what updates have come in. I wonder if this could be a reason why I haven't received the bug fix.
