I have gmail and my exchange email from work set up on my phone and noticed that i do not get any email to my phone. The only time i know when mail arrives it when i open the email and it refreshes itself. I have the phone set up to check mail every 5 minutes with notification on. Anyone have any idea whats going on? I hate having to check for mail manually.

I'm sure this may have been discussed or gone over but i seriously have no time right now to search for answers, I'm lucky i have time to post this thread but Ive been wanting to do it and get answers.
First off, i love the phone however there are some issues Ive come across.
(1) Deleting multiple messages/emails, can the emails/msgs just be selected (highlighted) all at once and deleted? its very very tedious to delete each and every one individually.
(2) While I'm talking about deleting emails, Ive come across an issue where some emails delete but then reappear, kept trying to delete them and they kept reappearing, whats going on here?
(3) My address book is a mess, it somehow has facebook people added into all my other numbers, anyway to undo all that somehow?
(4) Clock --- Is there a app to have the clock displayed sideways while i sleep? i have the verizon belt clip and turning it so the phone lays sideways on table works perfectly BUT the clock doesn't display sideways, isn't that horrible!?
(5) How do you refresh a browser page?
(6) Voice Dialing --- I use a Blue Parrot Bluetooth, the phone is not recognizing when i push the button on the parrot to voice dial someone, or isn't this phone capable of voice dialing? The blue parrot worked great on my blackberry.
Thats all i can think of right now, I'm sure most of them can be answered.
I use outlook 2003 for my email. If outlook is closed on my computer, I get all of my email to my phone. If outlook is open on my computer, I do not get my emails on my phone. Does anyone know how to fix this so I can always get my emails whether outlook is open or not? I think when my local computer receives an email, it removes it from my ISP server. I don't know if this makes any difference or not.

View 3 Replies View RelatedTrying to figure out why I can't open file attachments from emails. Received some pdf files and two doc files today. Tried opening files from email with pdf reader program and quickoffice or whatever its called. Neither type of file would open. Tried to download then open files with same problem. Files are definitely .pdf and .doc, just opened and rad them on laptop now. Also confused...is there any way to look at my SD card folders and files through a phone app? Can't figure out how to see anything other then my music and photos.

I really don't know why it deletes them when I press refresh, today I lost an important email from virgin media. It seems to do this a lot.

I can open/view attachments that have been sent to me, however I cannot open/view attachments in email messages that I have sent. I can see the attachment, and it's file extension, but when I click on it nothing happens. There is no open or save button like there would be normally. EDIT: I have read the other threads on this forum referring to issues with email attachments and none of them had the solution to my problem.

I have no idea how to tell the map activity to refresh on its own and display the new coords. the coords to store will have to be in global values, so that the location listener will have access to it. View 3 Replies View Relatedim not an expert on how push email works, but my understanding is that gmail messages should appear on my phone without me having to refresh or manually sync the gmail app. for a reason unknown to me, sometimes this works and sometimes it doesnt. at night, i shut down wifi and the mobile network to conserve battery and start up the mobile network when i leave for work in the morning. i get notification of new yahoo email, thru the htc widget, almost instantaneously, yet gmail doesnt come thru until i manually sync the gmail app. then during the course of the day, sometimes gmail messages get pushed right thru and other times not at all until i manually sync the app. meanwhile my yahoo mail comes thru flawlessly.
considering gmail is supposed to push and the htc widget does not, this is the opposite of what i expect. as far as settings, i have auto sync enabled for both the device and for the gmail app. while i always assume user error until proven otherwise, in this instance i think i have all the correct settings, which makes sense considering sometimes gmail does get pushed. its just erratic and unpredictable. anybody got any ideas what's going on here?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI just noticed for the past few days, my Incredible has been deleting my email off of my pop server account after I delete it (from Trash) out of the phone. Before you say anything, I have "Delete Email on Server" unchecked from the settings. So I checked it, shut off the phone, unchecked it and then sent a few test emails.
With it checked, it does delete my email after I delete it off of the phone - obviously. Unchecking it, sending test email and deleting it still deletes If off my POP Server. I am a little frustrated because I realized about 4 days of emails have been deleted, although I have copies of them on one computer. I know it didn't do this out of the box, only recently.
I am having issues with my Gmail push feature. I opted for the Gmail app instead of the HTC mail app. The only issue is my emails aren't being pushed to my phone. When I go into the Gmail app and click on accounts & check the settings it has Auto Sync checked and also the correct Gmail account. When I go to settings>Accounts & Sync> Auto Sync is checked there as well along with my Gmail account. I have sent numerous test emails from my work PC to my personal Gmail account but the emails aren't popping up as new notifications or even in the Gmail app until I actually open the Gmail app several minutes later. What is going on here? I thought Gmail was supposed to be a true "Push" mail client that worked on the Incredible.
View 23 Replies View RelatedI have checked the settings and I have the "delete from server" box checked and I went onto the server and the emails are not there but when I delete the emails on the app, they will disappear until the next time it refreshes itself. This is getting very annoying and it is crowding my inbox heavily. Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?
