HTC Incredible : How To Hide Images In Emails?
May 1, 2010When I connected my Yahoo email account I noticed that it no longer hides e-mail images and asks me if I want to show them. I liked that feature because if it's spam I do not want them to determine that it is an active e-mail address.

Android :: HTC Incredible - Images Not Showing Up In Gallery
May 9, 2010I'm making an alternative camera App. As you might expect my App involves taking pictures and saving them to the sdcard. On most phones (and the Emulator) everything works fine, pictures appear in the built-in Gallery App straight away. However on the HTC incredible images only appear when the user restarts the device. (I'm talking about an HTC Incredible phone with an sdcard, I know some of them shipped with internal storage only, but this is not the issue I'm talking about) The code I'm currently trying goes like this: I've also tried MediaScannerConnection.scanFIle() with no luck. I wonder is the problem is due to the HTC incredible being originally designed to operate with internal storage only, maybe the Gallery App has issues with media stored on the sdcard. Sep 13, 2010I am on Virtuous 2.6 ROM and noticed a curious thing going on with my contact images. I have used Handcent since day one with my Incredible and about a week ago the contact images stopped showing for my most often used texting contacts. I have found that new contacts that text me, or some that havent texted much have images showing, but my family (most used) don't. I have tried everything I can think of. I don't think it is the ROM, I have uninstalled Handcent, deleted cache, reinstalled, deleted all conversations, and even tried Chomp....same results.

May 17, 2010Until today, my gmail was working great (I use the gmail app). Then today, it just stopped working. I was surprised that I didn't receive any emails today, then I checked my computer and saw that I had several. So I hit refresh on my phone a they popped up in my inbox. I sent a test email after that and didn't receive it until I hit refresh. Can someone guide me through getting it working again?

Sep 14, 2010(HTC Desire running Froyo, not been rooted/molested).I have the stock email app set up to send/receive email through my BT email account.This all works fine with one exception.If I am sent an email which contains an image, I just receive the text no image at all (not even any sign that an image should be there). If the image is sent as an attachment then it is fine, it is only a problem when the image is in the body of the email.I have checked through settings and have set mail size limit to 'No Limit'.Can't see any other relevant settings.I found an old thread about this when I searched and it suggested that this was a known issue and may be corrected in 2.2. However, I am running 2.2 already.This is especially annoying as my cousin has been sending emails containing photos from her iphone and finds it quite amusing that my HTC cannot even display them

When receiving .jpg files via emails i am having problems and have had from day one is i cant seem to open the images through the phone. Sep 18, 2010I have never had any gallery problems that i can remember, but all of a sudden my images/folders arent showing in the gallery. I use a file explorer, and it shows that all my files are there, but for some reason nothing will show in the gallery. sometimes i can gt it to show a "camera" folder and like 3 "download" folders, and some weird folders with numbers and stuff, but they never show thumbnails and wont let you click them.
Gone are my picture folders, and also the galleries from picasa web. I have the droid, with the latest updates and everything. Never had this problem before. Was working the other day. Today i was tryin to send someone a picture, and noticed this.

Aug 28, 2012I'm an iPhone user. Upgraded from a AT&T Samsung Fascinate to a AT&T Galaxy SII Skyrocket.
When we put her SD card from the Fasc into the Sky, all her pictures didn't transfer over, I guess only the main "Camera" album. I used the Astro app and see that the additional images that aren't showing up must be in a subfolder called ".thumbnails", since it's full of image files.
I downloaded Rescan Media and ran that but it didn't work.

Jun 30, 2010I think my evo is starting to lose itself. It's been doing some weird stuff lately. Not showing icons/images on website unless I deleted the cache/history/restart the phone. I also lost pinch to zoom until I restarted the phone. It has done the icon thing twice. A couple of minutes ago, it restarted itself. I'm concerned but so far it's not enough to justify a trip to the store. I would return it and get another one but the store would charge me $35.

Feb 18, 2010I've created an application that show around 250 images in ImageView. Images are loaded one after another, 15-30 images per second. Basically the whole thing gives an illusion of a rotating 3D object, at least it should.
The problem is next, app hangs when loading certain images(i.e. I see a few seconds of fluid animation and then animation hangs, jump 10-15 frames(images) ahead and continues. It always happens at the same places in animation cycle.
I though that Android might not have enough resources to handle something like this, so I've resized images to half their size, but it did't help. I've tried buffering images but that did't help either(actually, maybe a little, I think that animation looks a little bit smoother).
And now the weirdest thing. I use the touch screen to allow users to "rotate" the 3D object on those images, and while rotating I again experience those hangs at exactly the same places as with the animation.
All images are in .png format and their size vary from 15kB to 40kB.

Aug 21, 2010I'm playing with a Droid Incredible my wife got from her company because I'm thinking of buying one.I do photography and I have a website.The images aren't huge maybe 600 x 800 pixels but that's bigger than the screen resolution of the Incredible so I can't view them on the built-in browser without panning around.A normal PC browser is smart enough to shrink the image to fit the browser window.Also, my wife's iPhone handles this with no problem. How do I get the browser on the Droid Incredible to do that?

May 7, 2010I just noticed for the past few days, my Incredible has been deleting my email off of my pop server account after I delete it (from Trash) out of the phone. Before you say anything, I have "Delete Email on Server" unchecked from the settings. So I checked it, shut off the phone, unchecked it and then sent a few test emails.
With it checked, it does delete my email after I delete it off of the phone - obviously. Unchecking it, sending test email and deleting it still deletes If off my POP Server. I am a little frustrated because I realized about 4 days of emails have been deleted, although I have copies of them on one computer. I know it didn't do this out of the box, only recently.
HTC Incredible :: Emails Not Pushed To Phone
May 4, 2010I am having issues with my Gmail push feature. I opted for the Gmail app instead of the HTC mail app. The only issue is my emails aren't being pushed to my phone. When I go into the Gmail app and click on accounts & check the settings it has Auto Sync checked and also the correct Gmail account. When I go to settings>Accounts & Sync> Auto Sync is checked there as well along with my Gmail account. I have sent numerous test emails from my work PC to my personal Gmail account but the emails aren't popping up as new notifications or even in the Gmail app until I actually open the Gmail app several minutes later. What is going on here? I thought Gmail was supposed to be a true "Push" mail client that worked on the Incredible.

Nov 11, 2010I have checked the settings and I have the "delete from server" box checked and I went onto the server and the emails are not there but when I delete the emails on the app, they will disappear until the next time it refreshes itself. This is getting very annoying and it is crowding my inbox heavily. Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?
