When I try to add a widget to my home screen and select "get more widgets" I get the error "Unable to download widgets. Tap to try again." Is anyone else getting this problem? I know a few people with the EVO 4g are having this issue but most of them had rooted their phone. Any way to fix this?

I attempted to purchase and download beautiful widgets, which I have heard is a fantastic app, onlyb to find that whenever the download begins, it promptly ends and informs me that it was unable to download. When I view my downloads in the market, it lists beautiful widgets as purchased, but I can't download it . I paid for it using my debit card, which has worked for other paid apps perfectly. If anyone knows a solution to this problem I would appreciate any feedback immensely!

View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to kill widgets, apps, and sense for that matter, for a period of time then have a way to restart them. For example I go to an amusement park and want to make sure i get the whole day out of the phone w/o recharge, can i kill all the widgets etc and just leave it as a "phone" with calling in/out and SMS / MMS stuff, maybe browser, then turn it all back on at the end of the day with out having to start each thing individually?

I recently purchased Beautiful Widgets.
It has been raining hard all day, and even with GPS update activated, it said it was cloudy all day and it seemed to be about 4-5 degrees off every other site.
Is anyone else having Beautiful Widget mis-weather info?
I rooted my inc and deleted the weather widgets. Is there a way to reinstall them?

I've copied the font .apks over to my sdcard so I can play with them, but from there I'm lost. Do I pull the fonts out of the .apks with 7zip and push them to a particular directory in adb?I could also be completely wrong and not know what the hell I'm talking about. Any advice would be great.

Is there any way to get the launcherpro widgets in sense? I know the opposite can't be done, but I figure since I paid for the extra widgets, it would be cool if I could use them outside of the launcher. And I know, launcher pro is awesome...I have beautiful widgets and I know that is almost the same but the weather animations are a pain because they come up on any screen and in my apps and I have to tap to clear them and then I can scroll. With sense I just unlock and scroll and I like that alot better right now.
View 17 Replies View RelatedSo I got the ADW.Launcher and I'm finding it to be FANTASTIC, much better than Sense and Launcher Pro IMO. I FINALLY got skype and it's amazing too. The big thing those it that I finally threw some widgets onto my desktop - namely You Tube, Google Search, and the Power Control thing. The power control is really nifty and makes it so easy to control blue tooth, wifi, gps. Are these going to kill my battery life? I don't' use live wallpapers and I make sure I don't have a ton of apps running in the background.

Instead when I select them I am taken to a screen with uninstall and details as choices. Usually if I tap the widgets they are placed on a home screen where they can be launched.

View 25 Replies View RelatedGenerally my location is detected normally but on occasion i get a number instead of the town i am in on the home screen clock widget. Same goes with the weather widget. I know its not a problem with the town information because sometimes it works and generally does so after being at the location for awhile. However today, for example, my location at work simply displays as "5". It has not updated itself after about 8 hours and counting. Friday it was fine.

I downloaded the Beautiful Widgets and the Live Wallpaper apps. I can't seem to load any of the skins. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Maybe I am doing something wrong?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a smoked glass Feedr widget and a smoked glass news and weather widget on my droid that i would like to install on my new Incredible. how do i go about installing these themed widgets? push them on with ADB maybe? if so any idea which folder i can put them in? can i push them to data/apps or does it have to be system/apps? i tried copying and pasting them from the system/apps folder on my droid onto my sd card, i then put that sd card into the incredible, and they would not install through astro. so it wasn't as simple as it could have been.

There are only a couple of things that I miss from stock sense. The one that I am after is a bookmark widget. I can't find any on the market. This got me thinking about widgets in general. There should be a list of widgets somewhere for people going to vanilla Roms. Is there such a list anywhere? We need one similar to the rooted apps thread. Just a thought. And if someone has any thoughts on a bookmark widget, that would be awesome. Or would the stock one work and where can I find it?
