How do you delete a program or widget from one of the screens on the DI? I also have twitter on one whole screen, but want to replace it with FB and and I cannot figure out how the heck to get rid of it!

View 5 Replies View RelatedI got my Desire last week and I am looking for the best programs and widgets there are, I'd like a better music player because the built-in one doesn't look great, I have an ipod touch and the difference in user-experience is so huge, the Desire doesn't compare and I wish it did. I'd also like some good games (racing, action, puzzle etc.) and anything else you think may be good. Also, is there a program to use the flash next to the camera as a flashlight? I think this would be really handy.

View 26 Replies View RelatedSo I went and did things the hard way (Asian Level Root).
Root was obviously a success, but now I can't get rid of 2 of 3 of the Chinese programs that got installed. The only program I was able to get rid of was the Shuame market app.
Trying to remove/uninstall any other programs ( KingUser.apk and PinyinIME.apk, et al) via Titanium Backup just results in a screen depicting Andy on his back, front open, big red triangle on top of him.
The tablet does reboot by itself after a minute, but the programs remain.
I did reset the tablet to no effect.
Specs: HP Slate 7, Android 4.1.1, Kernel 3.0.8+, Rooted (obviously).
Has anyone else had the issue where when you launch ADW you can't access all the same widgets as you could without it? When I use ADW launcher I can't seem to access the Media & Web player widgets that I can normally access - those are the lovely little spinning pieces that display your pictures/wallpapers/music or your browser bookmarks. I'm on the Acer Liquid E - 2.1. Are there any decent programs to replace these two widgets or should I replace ADW? I'd like to keep ADW so I can have 7 screens without modding my phone. Or is there a replacement for ADW that will let me have more screens and access all my regular widgets?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I removed a widget and then went back to put it back on and got the msg there wasn't room. I played around a bit moving and removing items to make room. I learned that while there doesn't seem to be room for the widget, there is room for the "program" for the same app/function.So now I'm wondering, what is the difference between these three?Will one result in more or less battery drain? Is the widget quicker to launch it's program equivalent?Should I avoid placing one type on the home page?

For widgets I can delete the app If I don't want it anymore, but If i still need it how do i take it off.I added a mail shortcut on the home screen, and I haven't been using it since my e-mails are synced. Using LP, I only have the option to add to dock or home screen shortcuts, widgets, folders, and wallpaper; no programs. I especially want to add programs like Jorte to my dock. I'm sure that I am missing something easy but I cannot figure it out. I really like LP but I am frustrated.

Right now I'm using ShadowRom (love it) with LauncherPro and Folder Organizer as a solution but it's a wee bit laggy. I have like 50 game apps and I put them into a Games folder on my homescreen and then used LauncherPro to hide the games in the All Programs Menu to get rid of some of the clutter.

So the DI has the 7 screens that you can cycle through. The first one is home, then I swipe left and its full screen Favorites, on more to the left is full screen calendar. If I go left from home screen, its full screen mail.
So my question is, how can you make other apps/programs/widgets full screen? For example have google maps open full screen or photos or message etc. I can drag the little icon to a new page but it stays that small icon size.
The 2 programs I have of concern are both unavailable on the market.Shapewriter and a legal beta of Swype. My phone needs a factory because screwy things are happening.Although I screwed up my swype by deleting the installer, which i though i could do, so that doesn't work any longer now anyway.Is there a way to save the programs fro later?

If I try to add a program to my home scree, none of the apps recently installed (e.g mint.com, yelp, dictionary) show up in the list. But if I go to "All programs", they are there. Has anyone else had such a problem?
View 2 Replies View Relatedafter my update i noticed programs opening in the background all the time. between this, the choppy everything, and pandora never closing, i decided to do the hard reset. after that, i just had to reinstall apps. now its smooth and faster than ever. so, the issue ATK still shows apps open that were not open before. i kill them and check in 20 and sometimes things like Skype and pandora are open but i never started the app. i am thinking that the ATK isnt working. to even push this idea more, now when i surf the net, i close it with the ATK. it says its closed but when i open the internet again, its on the same page i left it on. why not my home page as before. i did set my home page.
View 12 Replies View RelatedThis thing doesn't seem as if though it was designed to be used in landscape at all. The desktop can not go landscape along with many other programs.
But the biggest issue I am seeing is that the landscape keyboard doesn't seem to assume the same rules as the qwerty portrait. When you are in landscape and make a typing mistake it will not auto correct. No matter what the settings. If you searching something in google or typing in chat program it will not stop suggesting words to you. No matter the settings. But the worst offending issue is that in a chat program like meboo you can not see your conversation while typing.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I turn the phone on programs like blue tooth share, calender storage, facebook for htc sense, flickr, footprints, city ID, friend stream,maps, peep, visual voice mail....are all opened on their own. I have no option to force stop. And even if i use an ap killer to end them, they come back on their own.
I've got to imagine this is effecting my battery and usage...how do I stop these from running on their own. There is nothing in settings that I can do?
Seems like there are a lot of programs, when I look at my task killer that have started on their own for example

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had the 'low memory' notification on my phone for a while, plus Handcent has been extremely laggy lately... so I decided to delete some of my SMS as I have never deleted them and Im sure I have thousands...
I have tried to delete the threads in handcent, force delete in handcent, and delete in the stock messages app.. and every single time the phone winds up hanging and eventually the program will FC.
I know there are a few threads similar to this but I didnt see one that really answer my question. Basically when you press on PHONE and the dialer with the keypad and the contacts/call history shows up. Basically, that screen have my FACEBOOK contacts and my PEOPLE contacts. And because of that I have like 1200 contacts...some I dont even talk to like that and some dont even have phone numbers but its there. I dont know how to get rid some of it. Basically, I want to know how to get rid of some of the FACEBOOK contacts. Or if I cant do that, is there any way to have the PEOPLE contacts show only when you press on the PHONE button? I have tried LONG PRESS....EDITING the facebook contacts.
