I've searched on here, but none of the threads really answered my question post the 2.1 second upgrade. Which widgets use battery life even during sleep mode/when the homescreen ISN'T actively being displayed? I was under the impression that homescreen widgets don't load until you swipe to that homescreen (except for Twitter of course). The Facebook and YouTube widgets always load up with new status updates and videos recommended for me after I turn my phone from sleep mode. These widgets are all on one screen, so if I wake my phone up and swipe to the screen with Facebook and Youtube, they will show facebook status updates that say like updated 2 mins ago and Youtube will have the slideshow going of videos recommended for me. Also, does the official HTC battery widget cause high battery drain? I may to look at my friend's Droid at work and see how he gets 2 days of battery life. He doesn't seem like he would lie about it, and says when he uses the web it dies fast. However, he did say that it pulls his email automatically for him so he must not be turning 3G off.

I have tried to uninstall/re-install both apps several times. My BWLW won't recognize that I have BW installed. Is there a way to fix this?

I have a couple different weather apps.
I recently purchased Beautiful Widgets.
It has been raining hard all day, and even with GPS update activated, it said it was cloudy all day and it seemed to be about 4-5 degrees off every other site.
Is anyone else having Beautiful Widget mis-weather info?

So what I'd like to do is take fonts from some of the free font packs available from the market, and use them as fonts in Beautiful Widgets.I've installed them, but BW doesn't see them. I've copied the font .apks over to my sdcard so I can play with them, but from there I'm lost. Do I pull the fonts out of the .apks with 7zip and push them to a particular directory in adb?I could also be completely wrong and not know what the hell I'm talking about. Any advice would be great.

Why doesn't Beautiful Widgets allow the weather animation on the home screen? The animations show in the 3 day forecast but not on the home screen. Are there any apps that enable you to change the clock and still enable weather animations? I hate the stock clock.

I downloaded the Beautiful Widgets and the Live Wallpaper apps. I can't seem to load any of the skins. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Maybe I am doing something wrong?

Loved the look of my Incredible home page. Installed Launcher Pro and managed to find the setting to get my 7 screens back, then bought the Beautiful Widgets, but getting the exact skin is elusive. I'd like to get it to look just like the Inc. Also, is there a way to change the setting once it's on the screen? I have to drag the icon to the trash, then add a new one each time to change it. At least it remembers the last settings.

So this weekend was my first real world test using the GPS turn by turn for a long car ride (about an hour). I had everything all set plugged in and started the music player (not Pandora) running in the background while the GPS was displaying on the screen. I also had the bluetooth synced to the car. To my surprise, the battery started to drain. It was pretty slow but after about an hour around 5-10% of the battery drained even while plugged in. Do you think it is my after market car charger from monoprice (For only $1.46 each when QTY 50+ purchased - Motorola V8, V9 Series Car Charger for RAZR2 | Motorola It has been working great in the car for about 2 weeks with Pandora playing and bluetooth.
Anyone else experiencing battery drain while plugged in the car using GPS? I think I read someone having a similar situation but with the Verizon charger. I am also using the stock battery. If not, please let me know which car charger you are using with a link if possible. I can't continue using this one if there is one out there that will keep me charged in the car.

Upon receiving my device yesterday. I let it charge to full then proceeded to play with it, while still on the charger. Today I had to run some errands however I decided to take the portable charger with me. within 90 minutes i was down to 1 green bar..WTF,
I went to a local Verizon store and very nicely and jokingly ask for the expert on the android OS. I ran into a previous blackberry and current droid user. I explained that i know there are things running in the background (services, and apps that I don't need). But i don't want to stop the necessary services that HTC and android OS needs to remain running.
I showed him, I stopped Gtalk and maybe one other services. I then downloaded Advanced Task Killer. I saw 15 apps running in the background..DAMNM!!!. I closed all of them , the phone will open what it need or what you use. After that , I more than double the use of the batteries. I love the phone , but I really feel alot better about the better drain. I hope this helps. I am now using live wall paper, playing with it alot more

So I noticed that my battery icon is showing nearly a solid green battery, just slightly below it (a thin sliver of black). I've been on the phone for over an hour, played some games, got some e-mails etc and was wondering why it hasn't moved because before (had the phone since the beginning of May) it always seems to drop pretty accurately based on my usage (granted it's just observation, never studied it or anything). I went to settings - about phone - battery - and saw that I'm actually at 70%...but yet the icon hasn't moved down. Played a game for about 3 minutes and checked again, and the green icon now accurately shows what a 70% battery life should look like. Does anybody else know if their icon doesn't accurately represent their usage? Is this nothing to worry about? haha just concerned it will lag more and more with time or something...

Does anyone else have problems with major battery drain with navagation running on leaked Froyo ROM? I've tried several different roms with the same results. The drain is so extreme that the battery will even drain with the charger hooked up.

Little background: Before updating to 2.1 the battery would usually last about a day or a day and a half with moderate use(phone, texting, and social websites).I updated to 2.2 and battery drained very fast; so I hard reset and disabled Wi-Fi which helped, but still drained within a day with less than my average use(if I forgot to plug in the charger, it would be dead in the morning).I've since rooted and switched to Virtuous 2.7 with the custom kernel; which seemed to help out(with my "2.2" usage the battery life was about 16-20hrs...Wi-Fi disabled, now it's around 20-24hrs).What I noticed with the 2.2 update is "irregular" battery drainage. It would go to down to about 70%-80% fairly quick, but drain much more slowly down to about 40%, and then drain quickly to about 15%.Just a while ago, I unplugged the phone from the charger(It had finished charging earlier and I unplugged and plugged the charger again to make sure it's "topped off"), and drops to 98% in about a minute(zero use).I fire up the youtube app and watch Katy Perry's Teenage Dream(I don't like her singing but hey, it's a catchy song), and by the end of the song it's at 89% battery life. Anyone know what's causing this or know if this is normal?

How much do Live Wallpapers drain your battery on the Incredible? I used to have one, but I heard it drains your battery a lot, so I got rid of it. But now, I saw that cool Pixel Zombies Live Wallpaper, and decided to reconsider. Has anyone had any experiences or done any tests regarding Live Wallpapers and battery drainage?

This has probably already been discussed, but I couldn't find anything. Do we need to periodically drain the battery completely to maintain it, or is it alright to charge it every chance I get?

I know the WiFi uses less battery than the 3G. My question is should I leave the WiFi on all the time if I only have WiFi at home? Will it be actively searching for a WiFi signal when I am out of range of my home network and drain more battery? I have the Network notification unchecked in the WiFi settings if that helps at all. Basically I just want to know if I should turn WiFi off when I leave my house.

About a week ago, at random times, my Incredible will become "Incredibly" hot in my pocket, and the battery begins to drain at a rapid rate (from nearly 90%+ to <20% in an hour). This seems to be accompanied by an icon resembling a "refresh" symbol at the top of the screen (a circle consisting of two arrows).I can't determine any common denominator as to when this takes place, it seems pretty random.I added Google voice and Shazam to my phone just prior to this problem beginning, but have noticed no usage relation. Please feel free to direct me to another thread / lock if this has already been discussed.

Just installed SkyRaider 2.5.2 yesterday and radio 2.15. Using Launcher Pro+ and updated the notification bar to have the circle indicator. The charge took almost five hours. (Which I see is a common thing). However, when I unplugged my phone from charging this morning (9+ Hour charge) the battery went from 100% to 93% in about five minutes. It seems like I am losing 1% every minute or so until I reach 93%. Then it kind of stays steady. CPU clock is running constantly at 600 MHz+.

Upon starting up my phone was locked in awake status and I couldn't figure out why.
So against my will, I've downloaded ATK.
I noticed that upon killing ANY application that was loaded by the system at start up (besides ATK) would allow the phone to sleep.
So FM Radio, Footprints, Docs to Go....
Killing just one of those or I imagine just about anything else that loaded from the start, stopped my wakelock.
Also I noticed by putting the phone into airplane mode, and then taking it out, seemed to work as well.

Is there any way to disable this app and keep it from restarting?? It is a serious battery killer. I go into the "running apps" menu and kill it, but it soon starts back up. Can I uninstall this? Or isit one that came with the telephone and can't be removedunless rooted?

I just installed BW along with launcherpro...and while I do enjoy launcherpro, BW sucks because the weather is like 20 degrees off and no matter what I do, it stays that way. Basically, nothing I've seen is better than HTC Sense weather clock. Are there any GOOD alternatives to BW that includes a clock and weather animations or at least a good weather/clock combination?

I sent HTC a E-mail regarding them taking it down, and this is what the sent back.I am sorry about any inconvenience that this has caused you. The Beautiful Widgets Application was probably removed from the Android Market because of coding errors. I would suggest contacting the developer of the application. There may be other applications on the Android Market that are similar to this application. HTC does not have control of what is removed from the market. You would need to contact someone from android.com, because they are the developers and they would be the ones to flag programs from the site.
