Apr 29, 2010How do you delete a program or widget from one of the screens on the DI? I also have twitter on one whole screen, but want to replace it with FB and and I cannot figure out how the heck to get rid of it!

Oct 5, 2010I really like Sense but I really want to try out the transparent widget mods for launcherpro plus (which I already bought). Is there any way to get the launcherpro widgets in sense? I know the opposite can't be done, but I figure since I paid for the extra widgets, it would be cool if I could use them outside of the launcher. And I know, launcher pro is awesome...I have beautiful widgets and I know that is almost the same but the weather animations are a pain because they come up on any screen and in my apps and I have to tap to clear them and then I can scroll. With sense I just unlock and scroll and I like that alot better right now.

Jul 20, 2010I got my Desire last week and I am looking for the best programs and widgets there are, I'd like a better music player because the built-in one doesn't look great, I have an ipod touch and the difference in user-experience is so huge, the Desire doesn't compare and I wish it did. I'd also like some good games (racing, action, puzzle etc.) and anything else you think may be good. Also, is there a program to use the flash next to the camera as a flashlight? I think this would be really handy.

Sep 23, 2010Has anyone else had the issue where when you launch ADW you can't access all the same widgets as you could without it? When I use ADW launcher I can't seem to access the Media & Web player widgets that I can normally access - those are the lovely little spinning pieces that display your pictures/wallpapers/music or your browser bookmarks. I'm on the Acer Liquid E - 2.1. Are there any decent programs to replace these two widgets or should I replace ADW? I'd like to keep ADW so I can have 7 screens without modding my phone. Or is there a replacement for ADW that will let me have more screens and access all my regular widgets?

Jul 30, 2010So I removed a widget and then went back to put it back on and got the msg there wasn't room. I played around a bit moving and removing items to make room. I learned that while there doesn't seem to be room for the widget, there is room for the "program" for the same app/function.So now I'm wondering, what is the difference between these three?Will one result in more or less battery drain? Is the widget quicker to launch it's program equivalent?Should I avoid placing one type on the home page?

May 14, 2010Well, I just got my OTA update, and now there is only one Sense Widget available on my phone. There are a handful more available via the market, but none of the ones that I had previously used. Has anyone else seen this happen?
It's more than a little frustrating as my customized home screen was pretty heavy on the HTC widgets.
HTC Desire :: HTC Sense Apps - Widgets When Rooting
Sep 20, 2010I am wondering what actually happens with all the apps and widgets that come with Sense UI. I assume none of them will work anymore once the Desire is rooted? Or will they stay and still be useable? Can you download them somewhere again from HTC for example and install on a rooted device?
I heard of custom Roms that will let you root the device and still use some HTC apps. Is that correct or is there no such thing?
Finally, a question that might be a bit of speculation currently. With HTC introducing the new www.htcsense.com website with features such as SMS backup for life, contact editing, app shop, etc.... some of the stuff like the SMS backup sound very interesting but now I am wondering if these features will be available for rooted devices. Anybody has any ideas about that?
Would be kind of unfair if rooted devices could not use this HTC service.
HTC EVO 4G :: Want Stock Sense Widgets With New Home Launcher?
Jul 5, 2010I just installed Launcher Pro Beta, and am trying to "flavor" up my EVO. I really used the stock sense widgets that toggled 4g, wifi, BT, etc, but am unable to find them with the new home launcher. Am i unable to use the previously installed default widgets with this launcher/home? How about the default weather/clock combo, i can't seem to find a way to add it either. I liked the simple look of the Launcher Pro icons along the bottom, that's all i really wanted changed.
EDIT - Found it, will need Beautiful Widgets or something similar

Jun 22, 2010I am a huge fan of the Fresh builds by Flipz over at Geek For Me - Sprint Evo 4g & CDMA Hero. I have a proposal for a new build (once able, of course) and wanted your guys opinions. I think most of us agree the best part of HTC's 'sense' is the widgets. HTC designed the Sense UI back in Android 1.5 days and it's a bit dated. The Froyo version of the Picture Gallery, Music Player, Dialer, App Drawer and Lock Screen are far superior to the Sense iterations. I think this would be the best build on the EVO: I'm talkin' the actual Froyo build here, not something that 'looks like' Froyo, not the HTC build with Sense disabled (still keeps the HTC Music, Gallery, Dialer, Lock screen etc.). I'm talkin' the full whammy, 'extra pickles' awesomeness. Code...

Jun 25, 2010In HTC, I get the option to add widgets, programs, shortcuts and folders to my home screen. Using LP, I only have the option to add to dock or home screen shortcuts, widgets, folders, and wallpaper; no programs. I especially want to add programs like Jorte to my dock. I'm sure that I am missing something easy but I cannot figure it out. I really like LP but I am frustrated.

Sep 23, 2010So is there still no way to do folders in all programs? Right now I'm using ShadowRom (love it) with LauncherPro and Folder Organizer as a solution but it's a wee bit laggy. I have like 50 game apps and I put them into a Games folder on my homescreen and then used LauncherPro to hide the games in the All Programs Menu to get rid of some of the clutter.

May 3, 2010Ok, I'll do my best to describe what I'm trying to do, if its even possible.
So the DI has the 7 screens that you can cycle through. The first one is home, then I swipe left and its full screen Favorites, on more to the left is full screen calendar. If I go left from home screen, its full screen mail.
So my question is, how can you make other apps/programs/widgets full screen? For example have google maps open full screen or photos or message etc. I can drag the little icon to a new page but it stays that small icon size.

If I try to add a program to my home scree, none of the apps recently installed (e.g mint.com, yelp, dictionary) show up in the list. But if I go to "All programs", they are there. Sep 8, 2010after my update i noticed programs opening in the background all the time. between this, the choppy everything, and pandora never closing, i decided to do the hard reset. after that, i just had to reinstall apps. now its smooth and faster than ever. so, the issue ATK still shows apps open that were not open before. i kill them and check in 20 and sometimes things like Skype and pandora are open but i never started the app. i am thinking that the ATK isnt working. to even push this idea more, now when i surf the net, i close it with the ATK. it says its closed but when i open the internet again, its on the same page i left it on. why not my home page as before. i did set my home page.

May 4, 2010This thing doesn't seem as if though it was designed to be used in landscape at all. The desktop can not go landscape along with many other programs.
But the biggest issue I am seeing is that the landscape keyboard doesn't seem to assume the same rules as the qwerty portrait. When you are in landscape and make a typing mistake it will not auto correct. No matter what the settings. If you searching something in google or typing in chat program it will not stop suggesting words to you. No matter the settings. But the worst offending issue is that in a chat program like meboo you can not see your conversation while typing.

May 25, 2010When I turn the phone on programs like blue tooth share, calender storage, facebook for htc sense, flickr, footprints, city ID, friend stream,maps, peep, visual voice mail....are all opened on their own. I have no option to force stop. And even if i use an ap killer to end them, they come back on their own.
I've got to imagine this is effecting my battery and usage...how do I stop these from running on their own. There is nothing in settings that I can do?
