How do I move photos and videos from my phone storage to my SD card?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI may opt to buy a larger 16GB card for my Dinc to replace the 2GB card that came with it that I've been using for weeks. Will it just be a matter of copying all the files and directories from the old card to a temp folder on my PC and then copying them back to the new card once installed in the phone? Don't want to lose what I already have on my 2GB card.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought a lucid Droid phone from Verizon. And it didn't come with an SD Card. So I bought 1 at Walmart. And I'm wondering how to move my music from my internal memory of my phone to my SD card.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOk, I'm sick of looking around for the answer to this. And I apologize if its a "noobish" question:
When I plug my phone into my computer two drives come up (H: and I. From what I can tell, I: is my SD card, because it has the DCIM folder with all my pictures in it. Now...When I tried to put videos (mp4s,.avi) in there, I could not for the love of god find them through my phone! (I use Rockplayer to view videos by the way and its great so far). When I did finally find them through some file explorer in a strange Root folder called eccm or something I couldn't open them cause they didn't seem to get recognized by RockPlayer. But when moved those same files/folders to H: drive (my internal memory I assume) they showed up in rock player and I could play them.. Same thing goes for comics, I couldn't find my .cbr files when I put em on the SD card drive. The other reason this is hard for me to tell is that my SD card is 8gigs, which is the same as internal storage right?
So...Does the phone combine internal and SD storage and show it as two drives for some odd reason (I doubt it and I feel ******ed even asking)? And more importantly, can I store videos on the SD card and have 'em show up in file exploret/rockplayer/android comic viewer right off the bat? Cause it seems that by default RockPlayer or most programs show the internal memory and all its folders when opened, not what you put into your SD card..
I know i have seen threads for moving cache from phone to sd card but im wondering if it is possibly to move programs at all? my old phone i could do this
View 3 Replies View RelatedJust as the title says...Does anyone know how you rename a video that you shot with your phone? The stock media player for the Incredible $ucks number one because it only brings up an image of the video and has no other identifying feature such as a name for the video and number two I downloaded a third party app that has a better video player that does allow an image of the video and also a name of it but how do I go about renaming videos that I have taken. I tried on the computer and every time I selet a video to rename it, it tells me that renaming the video may make it unusable or something which obviously will defeat the purpose of making the video in the first place.

I just put a bunch of videos into a folder I created titled "Videos" and now Act1 can't find em and the default picture viewer seems to create doubles. How do you guys organize them? Ok I just restarted my device and it looks like apps are starting to read things right again, so that's good. It's ok if I keep everything in a created folder right?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a ton of videos that were transferred from my old phone to my Eris, and they must have been saved to the phone's built in memory. I want to transfer them to the card so I can put them into my computer. Does anyone know how to do this? I have been unable to sync using the cord because of a driver issue. (I am too un-tech savvy to install a driver from the website-it was too complicated)
View 6 Replies View Related.Unfortunatley my old LG 8300 phone was damaged..Lady said the transfer cable couldn't read data from the phone..It will charge using the port but won't transfer the data..So I had to type all my contacts in the new Incredible over again..She said I could move the pics using a Micro sd car..So I bought a 4gb at Wal Mart and can't figure out how to get the old pics off the internal memory of the LG and onto the Micro sd card? I don't think there is a way of doing it..Maybe I could still pic message them off to my PC and then put them on the Droid?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy name is Eric and I've got the HTC Incredible with android 2.2 of course. I can't figure out how to send videos in HD 720p mode. I've been playing with all of the resolution settings, and video duration settings, and I have just not been able to figure it out yet. The only way I can send it is either through Bluetooth, or upload it to YouTube via WiFi. There's got to be a way to send video through 3G to someone else.

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust bounced out to ESPN at ESPN Home on my Incredible and like the look, but in the "video" section there are only 7 offerings and this is little highlight blurbs. On the ESPN 3 site you can watch full length games and I can browse to this site on my Incredible but when I get the viewing window, I just get a little yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it. Is there any way to play ESPN 3 videos on the Incredible?

View 8 Replies View RelatedAs stated here: http://android-developers.blogspot.com/2010/07/apps-on-sd-card-detail... , even if an app is installable on the SD card, the private data files remain on the phone...
If this is true, my question is: are users aware of this? This would mean that moving/installing on the SD card means only the app installation is mobile, and not the database, for example. Do you know more about actual use cases for this 'moving to SD card' feature?
I'm trying to figure this out because more and more users are asking me to allow it to be movable to the SD, but i don't want to create false expectations (e.g. user changes phone, keeps SD card, but loses his 'stuff');
What's the deal with this? It appears that only some apps can be moved to the SD card. I have been using ApptoSD which works fine but only works on a few apps. Why won't it work with everything? I keep running out of space on my phones memory and would love to move the bulk of my apps to the SD card.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am coming to you via BB Tour. I had a ton of pictures saved on my SD card and now I want to take all those pictures and put them on the SD card on my new EVO. I have plugged both phones into my computer and tried that with just one picture to see if it would work and I could not find the picture that I moved. Can someone please give me some step by step instructions on this? Also while I have you guys attention for a moment I am also having problems hooking up the hot spot. My computer is saying that it is reading it and says it is connected but when I pull up the web it says that it can not be connected.
View 12 Replies View RelatedMy son got an HTC Legend a few months ago & didn't register his Google account. In order to do so now he has to do a factory reset. Unfortunately, a lot of his contacts are stored on the phone & there's no room on the Sim for them. He tried downloading My Backup via the internet to move them to the SD card but the app requires a Google account which he can't register until he's done the factory reset. Are there any apps or tricks available to move his contacts to the SD card that don't require him deleting them in the first place to do it, or is he going to have to buy a pen & paper?
