I am starting to run out of space on my HTC desire. Haven't even got many apps and widgets, but I'm having to install stuff. Anyway I've got 10mb of contacts and is there any way to move them to the memory card?

View 10 Replies View RelatedNot had my desire long but down loaded a few apps for it they all seem to be stored on phone memory not the sd card. what is stored to the sd card seems to be unused so far. do you have to set it up to use sd card or does it know one is fitted. does it switch to sd card when phone memory full. will run out of space soon if can't get things to store to card instead of phone mem.

How do I get contacts from my memory card to my phone? I only have the option of either phone or sim and they are not in either.
I was a self confessed iphone lover.. But a few days ago curiosity got me and I decided to get a Galaxy S3.
I can't say how much a love this phone and am a bit ashamed that I didn't realize how great android devices were. So far I have been able to find out on my own how to do pretty much everything I needed done except for one thing.
I work in music hence have a lot of music on my phone. I didn't want to restart the cataloging process of recreating playlist after playlist. So i found a solution to transfer my itunes to my phone.
I did this with Air Sync and DoubleTwist. The main problem I have is it put all of my music on my internal memory card and now it is full. I have a 32gb external SD card that is empty right now and was wondering if there is a solution to quickly transfer all of my music from the internal memory to the SD card. Furthermore I would like for the air sync / doubleTwist software to put all future music on the SD card as well.
I have the new x10 mini and cant work out how to or where the new contacts are added to after the initial transfer are,can anyone shed any light on how to check this please?

I have a Moto Droid and just recently I received a notification about running out of internal memory space. Is there a way to move the apps from my internal memory to my SD card without rooting the phone? If this is not possible is there any way to free up more internal memory space?

My son got an HTC Legend a few months ago & didn't register his Google account. In order to do so now he has to do a factory reset. Unfortunately, a lot of his contacts are stored on the phone & there's no room on the Sim for them. He tried downloading My Backup via the internet to move them to the SD card but the app requires a Google account which he can't register until he's done the factory reset. Are there any apps or tricks available to move his contacts to the SD card that don't require him deleting them in the first place to do it, or is he going to have to buy a pen & paper?

View 5 Replies View RelatedSince moving to Froyo I have noticed a problem.there are only a few apps at the moment that you are able to move to the SD card and I have noticed that when you I do move the app my internal memory does not increase back up. eg: say i have 110mb free internal memory and I install a 10mb app knocking internal down to 100mb if I "move app to SD card" it does transfer but my internal is still 100mb. Am i being completely stupid and missing something or have any of you guys had a similar prob?

View 4 Replies View RelatedAs I had a Nokia N85 laying around, containing a 8GB micro SDHC class 6 memory card, I was planning on using this on my desire, since that only came with a 4gb card. However, I formatted the 8GB card in windows, (to fat 32). (I've might have formatted the partitions and everything as well). But either the Desire or PC cant find my SD card at this point. When I put the 8gb card into my N85 and then connect the N85 to my PC, the computer finds it. My N85 has no problem locating the SD card either. What to I have to do to the SD card to be able to use it with my Desire?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've had my (generic) Desire for a few weeks now, and have a really nagging/annoying problem in that, where i've added contacts (on the phone memory) and then synced with facebook, it's pulling in their mobile phone number from facebook, but is defaulting to 447584... and will not let me call the contact without first editing the number to read 07584...
The only way around this so far as i can tell, is to manually add the number again as a 'Home' number but with a 0 in place of 44, as re-adding as a mobile just defaults back to the 447584... and then assigning the 'Home' number as the primary contact number. Does anyone have any ideas whether this is a bug or something i've done myself, and also whether there is a way i can update my whole phonebook to change the 44's for 0's rather than manually going through and changing them?
I have a 4GB SD card and it thinks that it has a total of 200MB on there (Its empty). I have tried formatting it using my Mac & via the phone itself but it continues to believe that its a 200MB MiniSD card.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I hit the "phone" button on my HTC wildfire it brings up all my contacts on both my SIM card and in the phone memory. Is there anyway that I can see just the SIM card contacts as it shows up all of my contacts twice! When I hit the HTC people button it will just bring up a list of each contact only once, but this takes a few seconds to load.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI wounder if anyone else has had this problem. I had a blown pixel on my Desire so i got a new one form T-Mobile. I had backed up my contacts on the SD card and when I reinstalled them to the phone all the numbers have gone into a US style format, for example the number 01345 456732 has become 013-454-56732. These are number copied to the phone and not form the sim.Has this happended to anyone else? I sthere a way of sorting this out without redoing each one?
