HTC Incredible :: How To Get A Case / Belt Holster?

Anyone find a good case/belt holster yet? I was not interested in the 2 options the store had. I do not like the hosters with case but mainly just the holster.
I've check Amazon and nada.
Anyone know of a belt holster type case for this phone?
I already have the phone protected with the gel case and a screen protector,
but I dont always wear shirts with pockets and I keep lots of scratchy bits
in my pants pockets, so I'm looking for a case I can clip to my belt.
If anyone knows of a generic one that will house the phone, that would
work too.
So I'm looking around the web for a good belt case / holster for my new Droid, but all the ones I've seen have a magnetic flap to keep them closed. While this is great, wont this confuse the Droid into thinking it's docked (and thus drain the battery)?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I know for certain I'll be getting the extended life battery (and the expanded back cover to go with it) and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a decent belt holster that will fit the phone with enough space to accommodate for the larger phone size.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI had a Seidio spring holster for my Palm Pre and loved it. I'm going to look for a case plus a holster for my Incredible. I would like something that isn't slippery and preferably one piece, so when I drop it things don't go flying. I use my phone as my music player at the gym, so access to the headphone port is very important to me.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI picked up the Shell / Holster Combo case from my local VZW store today and absolutely love it. I feel like I'm always struggling to find the perfect phone case and rarely do. But this one is truly ideal to me. What I like:Securely clips on my belt. Easy to remove from holster, but virtually impossible to fall out accidentally. Always-on shell protects phone when not holstered When holstered, the screen faces inward - no risk of bumping into something and scratching it Allows access to all buttons and connections Extremely comfortable to hold Rubbery shell makes dropping the phone less likely If there is anything I don't like, it might be that the texture on the case doesn't look the most professional, and I work in a white-collar environment. But it certainly looks better than a texture-less design would.
View 34 Replies View RelatedGot my DInc yesterday, ordered in store 5/14, shipped 5/28, arrived 6/1 (thank you, holiday weekend.) Charged it to 100% and started exploring. Went to bed last night with the battery around 40%, left it ON intentionally to run down, was at 14% when I got up, now down to 5%. Will let it die then charge while turned off. Overall I am impressed. Love the feel of the phone (except the plastic back doesn't seem to be very durable.) It's VERY fast (I came from a Razr2 V9m) and the apps are great. Went crazy trying to set up Yahoo! Mail until I realized I needed to TURN OFF WIFI so it would authenticate. Soon as I did that, I was good to go. Used a few Twitter apps, love Hootsuite (I use that on the web) but it's unstable, so I'm using Twitter for Android and am happy with that. Have not used Friendstream yet. Created a Google Account just for my contacts, cleaned them up and had them ready when I activated the phone, everything came in clean. Call quality is excellent even with 1-2 bars, speaker sounds great. Controls are well placed. Overall it's clearly the best phone I've ever owned. Still have a lot to learn. Wish I'd had it over the weekend, I'd be a pro by now. :/
Boxwave screen protector: great item (got the non-glare one). Didn't know I needed a Clean Room to install it. Literally went from the factory plastic to the Boxwave and still managed to get dust underneath. Removed & cleaned it per the instructions, reinstalled, and now have EVEN MORE dust bubbles. I'll try again. The protector itself is awesome, love the matte finish it gives the phone, no fingerprints. Just a royal PITA to install (I guess they all are.) Using the black rubberish VZW combo holster/case. The holster is okay but as others have reported the phone doesn't snap in very securely. Anyone with an active lifestyle had better keep it vertical or it's probably gonna slide out. The case has a really nice feel and offers some but not complete protection (exposed top & bottom edges), but it's fine for me for now. Pretty sure I'm going to get a Seido Innocase and see how it fits with the VZW holster, or, just bite the damn bullet and get the Seido holster as well. That is, unless Accessory One gets their act together and eventually sends me the CORRECT leather pouch I ordered. :/ At that point, I might have to go commando (just a screen protector) but we'll see. I do like how the VZW case makes it so the camera lens isn't touching anything when you lay the phone on its back. Decisions, decisions....................
For those of us that want to put our nekked Droid's into something to protect them say in a backpack or, like I do, into my bike jersey when I ride, I have found the perfect one. Fit is perfect and snug and very protective! Been using for 2 months.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have this one from Verizon I am currently using for the Eris, On VZW they show it to be an accessory for Droid too.. But are there others? I like the clip on the back, but one that rotates would be nice, as well as one that would allow me to have my headphones plugged in while in the case
View 22 Replies View RelatedI purchased my Droid not too long ago, and decided to go with the hard case/hoslter combo; the stupid thing SQUEAKS when I remove my Droid, however. Anybody figure out a simple fix to this issue, or even where it's squeaking? I'd rather not oil the case and I've tried bending it out a little to fix rubbing issues, but to no avail. That notwithstanding, does anyone have a really awesome holster that works well? Either vertical or horizontal works for me, though it needs to hook to a belt (obviously).
View 13 Replies View RelatedI know, another thread about the HTC EVO Innocase. But as I was looking for a better deal and someone that took Paypal payments I found this. And it is the best deal I found. If you preorder them it is free shipping also. $39.99 for the combo case/hoster, or $23.99 for the innocase only. That is with free shipping again for the preorder. Pretty good deal.
View 25 Replies View RelatedI am very interested in the new clip/holster case combo for the droid but i also use the car mount unit daily. I was wondering if the case will still work with the dash mount or will i have to remove the case every time...
This is a deal breaker for me and im sure lots of people will use the navigation with the dash mount but this will stop lots of sales of the clip/case combo. hopefully seideo or someone will think of this and make a case that will work for both belt clip and dash mount. Looks like the protection film guys will get lots of business from this.
After trying a few of the clip on cases, I hated how they ALL affected the smoothness on the slide out keyboard. If you look closely to whats happening, they force the sliding motion to happen at an awkward angle which causes resistance and I am sure is not good over time. Anyway, after no real satisfaction, I am just going to stick with the verizon screen protector and naked everywhere else.
View 16 Replies View RelatedIt seems every time I get a phonecall, I go to remove the phone from it's holster (leather horizontal type) and look down at the phone to get the "missed call" message... Doesn't matter if it's on the 1st, 3rd, 5th ring... it seems like it's auto-ignoring based on my attempts to get it out of the holster. Can someone tell me if this is a magnet deal, a setting i'm setting, or if there's an option I can turn off/program I can install that makes it harder to ignore calls? Perhaps I'm just brushing the ignore button? Unrelated, it seems if I get an email and don't look at my phone, it continues to beep at me every few minutes until I look at it, is there a way to tell it "notify once, then stfu"?
View 6 Replies View RelatedJust my luck. So now it has a small gash on the top of the body, will that void my return to Verizon within the 30 days? It is not visible at all when I put the Body Glove on...
View 44 Replies View RelatedLooks like we will only have two Verizon options for cases upon launch. For those of us getting cases from Verizon (until other manufacturers start producing) which one will you choose. I would like this discussion to be focused on just Verizon options.
View 16 Replies View RelatedI started this thread because i think i'm amongst the majority here so maybe we can get some specific responses. Here's what i'm looking for
- Form Fitting so as not to add bulk, but thick enough to provide some protection in case it's dropped. Also thin enough so that it will fit in any desktop charger/cradle that comes out.
- No high ridges (Especially on front like on the Body Glove) so that it doesnt block access to Optical Joystick, Volume Rocker, Power Button and USB Port.
- One piece - So if/when it's dropped the phone doesnt explode into a yard sale and it stays protected.
- Protection for Camera (Flush)
- Carry over styling on stock back cover (doesnt matter to me but may to some)
- Material - enough grip so that it wont slip out of your hand or off your shoulder but not too much so that you can't get it out/into your jeans.
- Color selection (but black is fine)
I'm 24 hrs in, haven't dropped the phone yet, and I am NOT using "protection" .
I'm curious to hear if any of you new Incredible owners have dropped your phone yet (unprotected/without a case)!
I'm not all that interested in any of the cases that are available so far and would like to wait until something better comes along.
In the meantime, I'm curious to hear how this thing holds up to drops. Scuffs? Dings? Scratches? Explosions?
On a side note, I did absent mindedly drop my phone into the same pocket as my keys for no more than 90 seconds. When I pulled it out there were 3 or 4 tiny scratches on the top-left corner....luckily they are barely noticeable....whew, I'm an idiot!
Side note: I did promptly purchase a screen protector after that, but am still holding out for some better cases or to hear how these things hold up to some light, accident prone abuse.
I did see that someone already has a thread going referencing their phone dropping, however, this phone was protected....I am interested in hearing from those of you thrill seekers (like me) that don't use protection!
How do you order the Black and red snap on case for the incredible? Its on the official incredible web page but when go to the verizon online store it is not there.

View 28 Replies View RelatedSome of us have had issues with the volume and power buttons being depressed by the case just fitting a bit too tight causing unwanted changes in volume or turning the phone off by accident. Some have simply cut out the button areas completely but I have found a better answer. Simply make two slits one above the case molded buttons and one below. This allows for the phones buttons to slightly push away the case molded buttons for a perfect fit. See pictures below. The case buttons still work fine.
View 13 Replies View RelatedOk, so here's my question, does anyone have a full front screen protector Like boxwave, Seidio, Clarivue, etc (not the small vzw one) on with the black rubber case from Verizon? I'm asking because the case is kind of tight and I'm worried it will press hard against the screen and in turn create big bubbles in the corner. Happened with my Rubber casemate case on my Nexus One.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an HTC holster that I used for the last year. The Droid JUST fits into it. However, I kept having the Droid come on in my holster and it was driving me batty how it would unlock on it's own. Then it hit me. The holster clips shut MAGNETICALLY.The Droid thought it was in a multimedia dock so it stayed on while on my side.THAT's why my battery was draining so fast. So, be sure to get a velcro or other type of holster, nothing with magnets.
