Motorola Droid :: Way To Find Web For A Good Belt Case / Holster For Phone?

Nov 8, 2009

So I'm looking around the web for a good belt case / holster for my new Droid, but all the ones I've seen have a magnetic flap to keep them closed. While this is great, wont this confuse the Droid into thinking it's docked (and thus drain the battery)?

Samsung Captivate :: Belt Holster Type Case For Phone?

Anyone know of a belt holster type case for this phone?

I already have the phone protected with the gel case and a screen protector,
but I dont always wear shirts with pockets and I keep lots of scratchy bits
in my pants pockets, so I'm looking for a case I can clip to my belt.

If anyone knows of a generic one that will house the phone, that would
work too.

Motorola Droid :: Need "girly" Case Like Liz Clairborne Has Little Loop Handle And Zip Pocket In Back

Nov 10, 2009

I need a "girly" case like the Liz Clairborne ones on the VZ website that has a little loop handle and a zip pocket in the back. This would be something I would slide the phone in and out of as needed.

EDITED TO ADD: Something without a magnetic closure, since that seems to be an issue.

General :: HTC View 4G Soft Bricked / Boot Loop

Jul 21, 2013

I've been scouring the internet for the last view months since initially attempted to root my admittedly out of date htc view. A friend gave it to me in exchange for an old comp I built. I attempted through revolutionary to root, went through HTC and unlocked my device, continued to try and root it but found no proper software that worked to do so. Even tried something called mulitool which was pretty cool, but didn't get the job done. After a time I gave up on rooting, and my tablet powered down and I found myself stuck at the recovery screen. None of the options for clear storage, factory reset, or anything else proved fruitful. I removed my sd and was able to boot up fine. This was months ago. Now I'm having a similar problem only now even without SD card it's in a boot cycle where it boots to recovery for 30 seconds or so and shuts down, then back to recovery and like this ad infintum.

my screen reads:

relocked
**security warning
express pvt ship s on rl
microp 0656
hdboot 1.14 0005
radio 1.05.01
eMMC-boot

General :: Allwinner Clone Soft Bricked - Black Screen / Reboot Loop And Recovery Corrupted

May 26, 2014

I have an Allwinner A10 clone (Kurio 7), it is designed for kids but otherwise a standard android tablet. After hours of googling I rooted and installed CWM & Gapps (not included in the stock ROM). So far so good. The stock ROM was causing issues with some apps, it needed to go.

I flashed CM10 and it worked but no touch screen. It needed a compatibility flash to make it work. You can guess what's coming. I picked the wrong one and now the device does the following:

Reboot loop
Black screen (backlight though)
PWR+Vol up no longer gets to recovery
Vibrates constantly between reboots (due to wrong patch I'm guessing)

ADB picks up the device for a split second between reboots but "adb reboot recovery" does nothing. Even when using wait command. Tried "fastboot flash recovery cwm.img" after wait command, no luck. Is there anything else I can try?

Android :: Clean - Minimalist Setup For Gadgets?

Jul 2, 2010

I really like a super efficient, clean, minimalist setup for my gadgets. I've been playing around with the Android OS since I picked up my EVO trying to figure out the most efficient setup. I think I've got a pretty good setup going now, and I'm curious what else like-minded people are doing. Right now, I've got LauncherPro as my home launcher. I'm down to three screens. My main screen is Beautiful Smaller Home widget and Pure Calendar 4x3 widget with scrolling enabled. To the left, I've got a page of Apps Organizer shortcuts with everything very specifically organized into the most useful labels for me. To the right, I've got a page of my most used applications that aren't on my dock.

Along the dock, I've got Gmail, Handcent, and Talk on one screen, Phone, Search People, and Navigation on the next, and Camera, Mixzing, and AppBrain on the third. Framing all three of my dock screens, I've got previous and next screen shortcuts. Finally, to top it all off, I've got QuickDesk enabled by default with a long press of the search button. My QuickDesk screen is completely full with any sort of toggle option I might need (GPS, BT, Wifi, plane mode, sync, screen brightness, LED light, unlock pattern, PDANet, QuickProfile, and Wifi Tether) as well as the Pandora and Mixzing widgets. I've also got BatteryLeft on that screen. The only thing I'm kind of missing is the Dolphin Bookmark widget. I'm thinking about removing the previous and next screen shortcuts in my dock to free up six more icons down there, which would get me close to having space for the bookmarks widget on my screen to the right.

Motorola Droid :: Car Dock With Protective Case

Aug 26, 2010

I have a Droid with protective case...is there any car dock that works with the case? I got a Droid 2 car dock based on the recent video and it does not work with the protective case. I have the protective case that Verizon sells with the criss-cross pattern on it. I don't see any other markings to identify it more clearly.
I need a solution where I can dock the Droid in the car (with power to the Droid) while still in the case. Does anyone know of a combination that works? I searched the forums but could not find an answer to this specific request.

Motorola Droid :: Cricket Boot Loop

Oct 23, 2010

I have a DROID that has been flashed to cricket. I woke up this morning and the phone was working just fine. I went to turn on music and noticed all of my music was gone. I started my anti virus to see if maybe something there was causing an issue, and during the scan my music showed up. My phone started running really slow and some pop-ups started showing up stating that "whatever the name was" application has not responded with three options "Force close, wait, and report" When I got frustrated enough to pull the battery, I started getting a boot loop. In the past I get the loop anytime I pull the battery, but if I let it run for 3 or 4 boots, the phone works just fine and I go on with my life. This morning I was not able to get back to "just fine" And the phone has been in an infinite loop all day. I have had it charging, I have tried disconnecting the battery and all the options the forums online have stated.

I can boot into recovery, and about every 6-10 boots the main screen will come up after the eye. I get the main screen with my lock code, the time, notification that I have a voicemail, and "no service" with 0 bars. I get that for about 3-10 seconds, and the phone reboots starting yet again at the white droid symbol screen. While in recovery mode I have been able to navigate around the recovery screens. When I try to do a recovery though, I get "Error: nandroid exited with status 20" if I try to do a backup I get the same error just with status "36" I have no idea where do go from here. I have read that if I flash the SPRecovery it will fix the boot loop, but the biggest thing I am worried about here is loosing my Cricket flash. I do not know how all of this stuff works, so if I am calling the Cricket "flash" wrong, please by all means correct me. If I can flash the SPRecovery while keeping my provider's "flash," or whatever you want to call it, are there instructions on how to do this flash of the SPRecovery? I have recently gotten my entry code in fast enough to get the background to show up. I have a loader app loaded and it showed all the icons at the bottom of the screen, but after a few seconds the phone went back into a boot loop. It showed the correct background, but it didn't show any of the applications loaded. I have let the phone reboot twice since starting this response, and got the same result. The second time I got my code in, I was able to see apps on the background, but a few short seconds later, the phone freezes and shuts off again. I see that I am making progress, but it has been hours so I am hoping there will be a quick answer to help me here.
