Jul 6, 2010As i said we NEED otterbox cases for sprint prefable for the Htc evo 4g i hate my crappy bulky case that i bought for 40$usd at best buy. anyone know of a case with a extended batters in the case like for the iphone? or a thin case thats thick up top to protect the lens and show the htc symbol.

Sep 16, 2010after installing 2.2 on my hero, everything was working fine, until now. im having problems with my text messages, they wont send under sprints network, if i put it in roaming then they send right away, but roaming has awefully slow (1x) network speeds, but if i put it back to the 3g network speeds of sprint then everytime i try to send a text it just swirls in circles (the little thing next to the message) and wont send. is this sprints network being down? or does this have to do with the 2.2 update?i dont think its sprint because my mom and sister arent having any problems with there phones from the same plan. but i tryed restarting many times, taking out and leaving out the battery, putting it in airplane mode and turning that back off to reset connection, iv tryed everything and cant get it to work, so idk what to do, and i dont understand why if it was a software problem with the 2.2 installation, why would they send in roaming but not on sprints network?

Jul 5, 2010I have read a couple of threads that touched on this ring issue, but was unable to find any that had a solution or work around.Since the 2.1 update and the OTA update, many times when an incoming call comes, the phone doesn't ring. If I happen to be in front of the phone, I can see the screen change showing an incoming call.If I am listening to Pandora Radio, when the phone rings, Pandora stops, but the phone never rings.If I am not near or looking at the phone this results in missing the call.If I shut off the phone and re-boot it appears to ring fine, but at some point later in the day or week it will quit ringing.I normally never turn off the phone. Should I start to re-boot every day?

May 2, 2010I picked up the Shell / Holster Combo case from my local VZW store today and absolutely love it. I feel like I'm always struggling to find the perfect phone case and rarely do. But this one is truly ideal to me. What I like:Securely clips on my belt. Easy to remove from holster, but virtually impossible to fall out accidentally. Always-on shell protects phone when not holstered When holstered, the screen faces inward - no risk of bumping into something and scratching it Allows access to all buttons and connections Extremely comfortable to hold Rubbery shell makes dropping the phone less likely If there is anything I don't like, it might be that the texture on the case doesn't look the most professional, and I work in a white-collar environment. But it certainly looks better than a texture-less design would.

However, I kept having the Droid come on in my holster and it was driving me batty how it would unlock on it's own. Then it hit me. The holster clips shut MAGNETICALLY.The Droid thought it was in a multimedia dock so it stayed on while on my side.THAT's why my battery was draining so fast.So, be sure to get a velcro or other type of holster, nothing with magnets.

Jun 22, 2010Is it possible that the magnetic closure on the HTC leather holster is causing reboots on my EVO? I've wanted a leather holster since I got the EVO, but could find one I like and fit the phone. Yesterday, I decided to purchase the HTC holster from Sprint ($29.99). Since then, my phone as rebooted at least 6 times this morning - kinda annoying. It's not an app 'cause I haven't downloaded anything in days, so I figured that maybe the magnets (which are right there by the back of the phone) are interupting something.

Sep 10, 2010iv heard ppl who downloaded android 2.2 online and installed it themselves on there phone since its not being offered ota. but im wondering if its safe? the phone is not actually getting 2.2 ever, so doing this would be my own choice. but im wondering if it will run smoothly, better than 2.1 update 1, and if there will be any problems or if anything that may not work because of compatability problems with the phone. because some people have said that 2.2 isnt being released to the hero because the phone is not physically capeable of it do to software and hardware (such as space ram speeds etc.), and others have said they installed it themselves and it works fine, that its actually made to run using less space then 2.1 making it better.

Oct 5, 2009I have been a Blackberry and Windows Mobile user for the last eight years. I am 55% sure that I want to get the Hero but I am not 100% sold. I am also considering the Pre. Sprint said itself that the Hero/Moment would be getting software updates. They didn't say 2.0, but HTC already said they're skipping 1.6 for 2.0. It would be suicide for Sprint to go to 1.6 when Verizon will have 2.0 in 3 days.

Mar 22, 2010I originally purchased a holster off of ebay that was meant for an iPhone (seeing as they're about the same dimensions), but its clasp is magnetic and will randomly confuse the phone into thinking it's in car mode.I just got another case (this one) that has a velcro clasp and was marketed for the Droid. Well...it came in the mail today and my phone definitely doesn't fit in it.Has anyone found a decent holster that doesn't use a magnetic clasp? I found that verizon has one, has anyone tried it? I don't ever use the belt clip, so I'd like to get a case that the belt clip is removable.

Jan 11, 2010I purchased my Droid not too long ago, and decided to go with the hard case/hoslter combo; the stupid thing SQUEAKS when I remove my Droid, however. Anybody figure out a simple fix to this issue, or even where it's squeaking? I'd rather not oil the case and I've tried bending it out a little to fix rubbing issues, but to no avail. That notwithstanding, does anyone have a really awesome holster that works well? Either vertical or horizontal works for me, though it needs to hook to a belt (obviously).
