Some of us have had issues with the volume and power buttons being depressed by the case just fitting a bit too tight causing unwanted changes in volume or turning the phone off by accident. Some have simply cut out the button areas completely but I have found a better answer. Simply make two slits one above the case molded buttons and one below. This allows for the phones buttons to slightly push away the case molded buttons for a perfect fit. See pictures below. The case buttons still work fine.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI bought the one from RadioShack for my HTC EVO but when I got home and put it on, I don't like it. It recesses the camera lens, which I like because it isn't sitting right on it now, but the edges of the case don't fit well and are kind of bowed on both sides. Plus it's really bulky and I can't slide it into my pocket now.
I like the silicone cases; anyone use one that isn't really bulky and actually fits well?
Does anyone have the snap on silicone case? If so what do you think of it? I'm thinking about picking one up and just wanted to see how people that actually have one feel about it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedOk, so here's my question, does anyone have a full front screen protector Like boxwave, Seidio, Clarivue, etc (not the small vzw one) on with the black rubber case from Verizon? I'm asking because the case is kind of tight and I'm worried it will press hard against the screen and in turn create big bubbles in the corner. Happened with my Rubber casemate case on my Nexus One.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI was really hoping to save 55% off the cost of the Tmobile Gel Case but alas it was not to be. When my wife saw the case installed on the phone she said "what the heck?" That's because the case fits the Vibrant unevenly. And it doesn't wrap around the bezel fully.
Here is my review:
The Amzer "Silicone Skin Case" is completely unacceptable to me in terms of fit, feel and function. The Vibrant is a top of the line, expensive and amazing device deserving of quality accessories. This case is basically junk and not commensurate with the quality or value of the Vibrant.
First the fit: It slides onto the Vibrant easily enough (too easily in fact - it feels like it might fall off) and the cutouts are all lined up with the camera, USB, etc. However, the case barely fits around the bezel and it fits the face of the phone unevenly so you can see the bezel on one side but not the other side. The last point about the fit is that the phone feels like it could pop out of the case if you squeezed the sides; this is a very unsettling feeling. A case should make you feel more secure not less and it shouldn't detract from the quality appearance of this device.
Second, the feel: The case feels much too thin along the sides, the corners feel nice and thick as they should be to protect the phone. The sides however offer little in the way of protection. It just feels cheap and not nearly thick enough to offer much protection.
Third, the function: I bought a case to protect the phone from damage in the event it is dropped. I want protection around the bezel and the sides and back of the phone. The Amzer case only seems to protect the Vibrant on the corners where this case is thicker. I feel like if I dropped the phone and it landed on the side there would be little to prevent the phone from being damaged.
Needless to say I was disappointed when I tried the Amzer on my Vibrant this afternoon. So much so that I immediately called Amazon to arrange for its return. I have the Gel Case from Tmobile which by comparison is vastly superior although 55% more in price.
In this case you get what you pay for. And I do not want to skimp on protection a device as valuable as the Vibrant. Let's see, save $6 on a case for a $500 phone? No way, not when it's ugly when installed, feels cheap and insecure in the hand, and offers less protection. The Tmobile case fits snugly, wraps evenly around the bezel, is thicker to better protect the phone in the event of an impact.
I give this case 1 out 5 stars. The Tmobile Gel Case gets 4.5 stars.
Has anyone purchased the hard leather cover from Verizon ($24.99). If so, can you tell me about it? Is it hard plastic that looks like leather or does it at least have a soft feel to it?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am very interested in the new clip/holster case combo for the droid but i also use the car mount unit daily. I was wondering if the case will still work with the dash mount or will i have to remove the case every time...
This is a deal breaker for me and im sure lots of people will use the navigation with the dash mount but this will stop lots of sales of the clip/case combo. hopefully seideo or someone will think of this and make a case that will work for both belt clip and dash mount. Looks like the protection film guys will get lots of business from this.
Does anyone have a problem with how the battery cover fits? If I squeeze the phone on the opposite side of the volume button towards the bottom of the phone, the case squeeks and flexs inwards. Being the OCD person that I am, I am constantly sqeeking the case and I am pretty sure that I am going to break it soon. I want to take the phone in and have it replaced but would like to just have the cover replaced rather than the whole phone.

I just got my phone on Monday, and ever since I put the cover on I've wanted to take the cover off to see if I can find where the SD card is (which if anyone could point that out for me that would be great). However, when I get where only the part where it has the slit open, I feel like I would break the rest if I keep pulling that is how good it is on my phone.

View 12 Replies View RelatedOk first off, let me just say I absolutely love my phone. Pretty much everything about it makes me smile. I got it the first week it came out (got it at Best Buy - only place in Tucson with it in stock) and have loved every minute of it. I surf these forums (just registered today though) and noticed people with battery issues or stuff like that. I have none of that and usually get a day and a half of battery life if I dont use lots of apps or play games. I have one issue though!My first question is with the camera cover... the little plastic/glass cover over it really. My phone was getting a lot of dust under the cover of it and it was bugging me. So I took it to a Verizon store and they did a warranty replacement for me. The lady told me "Im not supposed to do this but I'll do it this one time." so I said thank you and was fine with it, but then she told me to go get a case to prevent it happening again. Well.... first off there I havent really seen a case that covers the camera part, and if there was one, I wouldnt want it as I use the camera a lot. Anyways, my replacement phone was fine for about 3 weeks and then I noticed the red ring was a bit loose on it. The sticky tape kinda came off a bit and now there is dust starting to get under this one. Should I be bothered by this or am I overreacting?
Also, a question for the future. I know my dad wants to cancel with Verizon and get a cheaper plan with a different company. Problem is, we're on a family plan so if he switches my bill will skyrocket. Im currently 21 and have a shitty job. so Im wondering if there is anyone who knows of a guide to flash the Incredible to Cricket service (I know its not that good of service, but it'd be 1/2 the price of me on Verizon alone). I know it can be done, but I dont feel like paying a guy $50 to do it for me.
Originally I kind of dug the red accents on the phone. But the more I've played around with it (different themes, etc.), I've kind of gotten over the red ear piece and camera lens cover. I've been kicking around the idea of dying/changing the color of the ear piece black for starters. Not sure what I would do with the lens cover, maybe just wet sand and polish although I understand it fairly delicate and thin.
My HTC letters have already been removed since the H removed itself, so I decided to finish the job. So maybe I am just looking for a more stealthy look. Anyone else or am I just insane?
Does anyone else have a problem with the back cover not being tight on the sides? Sort of makes a "popping" noise when I press on the sides and it drives me crazy! Actually, almost where ever I press, it makes little popping noises, as though the case is really loose.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy speaker buzzes all the time on my phone (not the speaker phone - it works fine). It's not a network buzz, it's a vibration buzz of the metal or speaker. The center camera is also off-center a little bit, which makes me think something up there is off-center, misglued or loose.
We have two other evos and neither of them buzz on the same call. I called the Sprint Nav Voice Address thing from all 3 phones since that would be the exact same voice and words every time. Only mine buzzes. The other two don't have the camera problem either.

When I check my battery stats it's showing my Display % very high. It was doing this yesterday shortly after root. I'm still getting great battery life so I don't understand...should I be worried about this?
So this is my 3rd back cover for the phone. And every time about after a month the letters on the back cover start falling off. and for me the T has fallen off each time! My friend just lost his letter too H. Just kind of pissed about the quality of this back case, very cheap. Cant wait to get a Samsung Galaxy if it ever comes for verizon because I'm not too happy of the HTC quality. This shouldn't be a problem and never have i had a phone with this issue.

I have to say that I am VERY impressed with the Incredible so far. I am curious on something though. I noticed when looking inside the battery cover, it looks like there's a part of it, inside, that looks melted. It goes from the camera hole to the charging port hole just on the cover itself. Can someone check there cover to see if it's just a manufacturing thing?

I have a bodyglove case and have never dropped it or anything.I'm concerned that it will eventually push all the way in or moisture will get under the glass.Does the glass push in at all for anyone else?
View 17 Replies View RelatedLike many other people, my camera lens cover pushed in slightly letting dust onto the lens. I didn't want to go to verizon, lose my phone for a month, and lose my data just for a tiny part so I'm taking matters into my own hands. This procedure is currently in progress and may or may not be successful. Cross your fingers for me!
1)Take off the back cover of your phone.
2)Using your fingernail, gently pry up the camera lens cover. It is only attached by a weak adhesive. When you're done, the phone looks like this with the camera lense exposed:
3)Now pop the glass lens cover and the foam piece behind it away from the red ring and scrape away the old glue that held these parts together. Sorry I don't have a picture of this.
4)Put a dab of gorilla glue on your finger and smear it on the red ring. Place the glass lens cover on the glue without smearing glue on the lens. Use the back of a regular Bic-type pen to apply pressure to hold the components together.Well, that I far as I am. At 11:00, I think the glue will be dry enough to continue and I will update my progress. At this point my biggest worry is glue smudges on the glass.
