Jun 21, 2010Yesterday I noticed a small white circle on the screen. It looks like an area on the screen the might be displaying brighter.

HTC EVO 4G :: White Screen Dead Touch Spot
Jul 24, 2010I'm on EVO #2 now. #1 failed after what I believe to be an overheating issue when using outside for a couple hours. So today I'm at the Red Bull Flugtag taking pics and video. Its warm(HOT)...after a couple hours I notice that I now have a dead touch spot on my screen. If you were to divide the screen into 4 quadrants...the lower left quadrant is now 100% completely unresponsive to touch. Rebooted, took the battery out, did a hard reset like Sprint advised all to no avail. I'm now on the waiting list again at BB.

Jul 2, 2010I notice on my EVO that on certain parts of the screen it seems to dip and has " soft spots". It's likely to assume that all EVOS were made the same so I am wondering if anyone else has noticed this. When holding the phone in landscape mode, I feel a dipping sensation when sliding my thumb at around the top right and bottom corner of the phone, also towards the center of the screen. Or just sliding my finger around the screen or pressing/ typing. In general I can feel the soft spots.

Oct 19, 2010I bought a droid x, and about 5 days after, i got a red dot, about the size of a pin head (i am assuming a pixel or something) that was REALLY bright, and stayed present no matter what wallpaper i had up, or anything like that. so i exchanged it, and the same thing happened, just in a different spot on the screen and the dot was green, this one lasted almost two weeks, SO i went back in and exchanged it, and again, same issue, different location and the dot was blue. this dot was not right in the middle of the screen ever, but it was fairly close to it, and literally the size of a needle point, smaller than .7mm pencil lead, but it was REALLY bright and stood out over everything and i found it annoying and couldnt deal with it.

Sep 16, 2010After destroying my camera flash with with some app i managed to destroy also my LCD screen. I forgot to take my phone out my back pocket and sat down. Now the phone has a black spot in the middle for the LCD screen.
Do you think I should send it HTC service for warranty and let them replace the screen (guess it will be expensive) or should I replace it by myself?

General :: Sony Xperia T - Blue Input Circle On Screen
Feb 8, 2014I have a sony xperia T and have just upgraded my rom to cynogen mod 11, the only problem is as soon as I went to set it up (which I did manage to complete) I had a blue/white tint circle on my screen. I can move the circle but it is hard to use for example I have to have it on a certain area to click the thing I want to click.

Oct 10, 2010I am root using unrevoked. I made a nandroid as soon as I rooted. I have since removed a bunch of the crap-ware and I would like to try custom roms. But I cant seem to make another nandroid backup. I have tried to do it through ROM Manager and through the volumedown+power. Both take me the the white evo screen and it just sits there. I haev been patient, but 45 minutes is long enough I think. I know y'all see this stuff all the time and it gets frustrating but I really have tried to understand and to read and to search and I haven't found a fix for this.

Aug 5, 2010I rooted my Inc with the Evo tool, and installed a ROM through ROM manager, after deciding that I did not want to keep the ROM, I tried to restore back to the stock rooted ROM I had before through the clockworkmod/nandroid options. Now the phone is stuck at the white screen that reads, "htc incredible" and none of the buttons will cause anything to happen. I was debating on doing a battery pull and restarting, but I believe I read somewhere that doing so would brick the phone.
Update: Did a battery pull and was able to boot into the HBOOT and run the nandroid recovery again, I am trying it now to see if I can get back to the original ROM.

After rerestoring the phone, the boot animation runs all the way through and the phone starts back up.

Nov 25, 2010Flashed a Fresh ROM, did a wipe cache and dalvik before flashing but now I'm stuck in the white htc evo 4g screen. Tried to reflash didn't work. I've pulled out the battery and powered on while holding volume down. This is what the screen reads:

I can boot into ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.0.1 but my backup and nandroid files can't be located. Sometimes I get the Android with the exclamation point, sometimes not. PCIMG36.zip image can't be found either. I think my phone is screwed! I've searched through the forums and googled and tried out a many things but to no avail. Also, does doing all this through a Mac make a difference?

Nov 9, 2010Been creating a theme last few days. I installed it on my phone, but before doing so i was a good boy and did a nandroid backup. Then i didnt like osme of the things i changed so i restored my backup i just did now its stuck after restoring on the white htc evo screen. NOT GOOD!! I even pulled the battery and SD Card...twice.

Jun 9, 2010I 'had' a desire - for a whole 3 days. Then it stopped booting ( white 'HTC' screen ) or boot looped when in 'safe mode'. Spoke to HTC, tried factory reset - they told me to take it back to the shop. I got a refund - the iphone was announced the same day and now I'm in two minds! So, was I just unlucky or is the desire not very reliable? The iphone's I've used seem to be much more solidly made. For the short period I had it I was a little concerned by the inability to back up the apps & stuff externally. I just sort of assumed that I would be using my PC to get apps and stuff and then transfer to the desire - just like itunes. Now, I know itunes is not too popular here (!) but the fact that all my purchases are held on my pc too makes me more comfortable. So
1) Is there any way that the desire can store all it's stuff in a similar way?
2) Now my phone's ( & mem card ) gone have I lost the apps I bought?
3) Can I only by Apps from market via the phone itself?
Sorry for the questions, but I'm not sure whether I want another desire now. I really like the interface but I'm not sure that the overall package is 'friendly' enough. The iphone just looks more polished.
