After you speak and it transcribes the message, how do you accept it? It seems to automatically add a space after the message.so if I press space to accept it, I need to go back 2 spaces to add a period.If I press '.' to accept it and add punctuation, it leaves a space between the end of the transcribed message and the punctuation.I know this sounds minor but when sending a lot of texts, it can be really annoying.

I am very impressed with Talk To Type's accuracy. It's great for chat and many informal things but seems to be missing some features that would have been very easy to implement.1. Automatic capitalization - no brainer - it should capitalize obvious proper names, the word "I" and the beginning of every sentence, or at least this should be an option. 2. Automatic punctuation - it should be an option to place a period at the end of each phrase (defined by when you stop speaking) and if the beginning word was "who", "what", "where", "when", "how", etc...it should be an option to automatically enter a question mark. I get that you can speak the name of the punctuation mark, but this option would make it more useful. 3. Numbers less than ten should be spelled out (e.g. "nine" instead of "9") It's so accurate compared to many that I've tried to use in the past, yet it doesn't have these super-basic and very easily implemented features. It makes it less useful for e-mail, especially corporate e-mail, where the mail needs to not resemble a high school text message.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using IMO for Instant Messaging and so i removed the TALK app from my Nexus one (running Oxygen Rom) using Titanium backup.Recently there was an update in TALK app and i wanted to try it (Hangouts) so i installed it from the playstore. It was very slow on my mobile so i removed it again.
Now i am getting Talk notifications (with the old TALK icon) in the notification bar. along with the IMO notifications. When i click on the Talk notifications it does not open any app. and the messages that are notified by TALK are missing in the IMO app so its very frustrating.
So i thought it must be the HANGOUTS app and re installed it from the Play Store. Now i get Hangout notification, Talk notification and IMO notification. I removed the Hangouts app from the Application Manager and i still getting the TALK notifications.
I was chatting with my brother Joseph with Google Talk on my incredible. He's chatting using a computer at work and i'm using google talk on my phone via Wifi at my home. We're both using google talk. There's was another person on my end of the phone chatting with my brother and I didn't notice it. The text highlighted Red is the douchbag hacker. My name is Austin in the conversation. So this douchbag was telling my brother where my sister lived. In the end, it seems as there were a networking problem but I have no idea.

I think I understand that you need 2 accounts for gmail to get one on the HTC Mail widget. One registered to the phone, which only uses the gmail of the phone. The second allows you to associate it to the widget.My question is, I figure the google account associated to the phone is the one that has gtalk associated with it. Correct? Can you log out of that one and use the 2nd account for gtalk as well? Or are you stuck to only using the google account associated to the phone?The reason I am asking is we use Google Talk at work as our IM service, and would need to use that at times, but also want to be able to turn on my personal one as well.

View 3 Replies View Relatedgoogle talk is not notifying me when i get a new message i just look and its there. i have notifications enabled in settings on talk. does the same thing on my wifes incredible. my droid did not have this problem. can anyone else confirm they have the same problem or a solution for it. i much prefer realtime chat over sms texting.

Google Talk photos are not updated to reflect my Google Account.i.e. Some people have no photo displayed on the phone, but on my computer (in my Google Account) there is actually a photo, whether it be one the user selected or I set for them. And the photos that are there are not updated when/if someone changes it. The old one remains there.
2. Google Latitude photos do just the same. They are not updating... Anyboy experiencing similar problems, or have a fix? The photos seem to update, but slower in my contacts (People). But they don't update in the Google-based apps, which is wierd.
I sent a Friends request to the wrong email address and now I have no idea on how to clear the email address from "pending invitations" section. anyone know how to clear that section out??

I cannot seem to get it to work in meebo or any other app. Anyone using a Google App as a secondary been able to set it up for chat/talk? If so, how or what app worked for you?

It's logged in to an email address I don't want to use. Is there a way for me to switch it to another one or be able to choose between the two of them? Is the auto login a glitch? View 4 Replies View RelatedGoogle talk service starts running as soon as the phone is on, even though the app is closed (with ATK). Anyone know how to prevent it from starting up with the phone? I dont really use gchat on the phone so I dont want it to run unless i open up the app.The same occurs with google voice (which i only have set up for voicemail). This one I dont care too much if its on since at least its useful for voicemail.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAnyone lately get the Google talk authentication error notification repeatedly and find that they can no longer download apps from the Android market? Mine is going on the third day now and endless Google searches reveal that this problem has affected various Android devices worldwide, including the Incredible that just came out. I've tried all kind of suggestions but none work and there doesn't seem to be any official response from Google on the matter. I wonder if it is a hardware problem since these forums are not buzzing on these issues at all. In my case the phone worked perfectly for 2 days after activating and knowing how high the demand has been surely more people would be experiencing the same issues were it a device or cloud software problem. If anyone else has the same problems please post here.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got the OTA Froyo update for my HTC Incredible on Verizon. Now when i go in to the People application and touch the icon next to a person's name, the menu comes up with two "phones" on it, one to make a call, and one where gtalk used to be. When i touch the second phone, it brings up a list of crazy apps to associate it with. Most of the apps to associate are not actually anything.
Has anyone esle experienced this? I'm not rooted (yet) and to be honest im growing tired of the junky HTC apps on this thing. I'd love to just have the android contacts manager because i think it'll interface better than the htc ones.
Has anyone else noticed that typing in landscape in gtalk is less than ideal?
First, the entire window is taken up by the input screen and the keyboard, so
you don't get to see what your partner is typing (other than an abbreviated preview in the notification bar).
Second, every time you press 'enter' to send the message, the keyboard disappears. This can be a good and bad thing depending on what you're trying to do. But, most often, it interrupts the flow of the conversation and slows me down.
I wish there was a way to change this...
I am loving skype and getting faster. But I love the ability to talk to text with the native key keyboard. Any way to have both worlds with out having to change input method?

This happened for the 2nd time in 2 days today. I go into messages, or email, or facebook, or anything...touch the textbox to bring up the keyboard, touch my keys and although it highlights the keys as normal, nothing goes into the textbox! Quitting the app and going back in did nothing. Had to shut down the phone and restart it to finally get it working.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo the cable advertised that comes with this phone is a micro - USB cable. I went and ordered four cables as spares (2 for the cars and an 1 for each of our work). These cables have not yet arrived so I have not tried them yet. This is what I ordered:

However, this morning I forgot my cable that came with the phone at home so I asked around if anyone had one so I could charge my phone. 4 people gave me cables to try that were micro - USB cables. They *look* like the cable that came with the phone but none of them will insert into the phone. So - now I have doubts that what I ordered will work with this phone.
1) Can anyone tell me if they think the above cables will work?
2) Can anyone tell me if there is a more precise description of the phone cables type?
3) Can anyone point me to a source of 6 foot long cables that will work with this phone?
I recently bought the Droid incredible and I love the phone. It's the perfect phone for me, however I have come to hate the green that is everwhere. It's on almost every spot where u can click or type. Any suggestions on how to change the color.

Camera FV-5 is slower than the stock camera, so I only use it in situations which I need manual control.
Whenever I open whatsapp and try to send a photo, the app asks me which camera I want to use, with no option to always use stock. I don't want camera FV-5 to exist as an option, as I will open it if I want to use it.
Is there a way to remove an app from the list so that my phone does not recognise camera FV-5 as a camera?
i know its probly very simple but i cant for the life of me find the option.

However, whenever i transfer music i always get the message "unable to play this type of audio file" I have tried everything from making the files all mp3 format to using different programs to do the sync, but nothing will work.
