So my dad is looking to get the incredible, because he loves mine so much, but he is coming from a blackberry storm, and still wants his emails. Is there a way to get blackberry emails on the incredible, or even on a pc so he can check it on a computer?

Have they come up with a way to transfer texts from a Blackberry to HTC Incredible yet? I heard sprite mobile had a solution. I am coming from a BB Storm 2 and I am feeling kind of sad leaving my Blackberry mostly because of Blackberry Messenger!

View 6 Replies View RelatedThis is confirmed by Verizon, so take warning.I got my Incredible on Tues, used my BB charger on my phone because the Verizon store said it was ok since it was still a micro usb. My battery started dying after about a few hours. Tried every trick in the book and still died afte about 3 hrs.Went to the Verizon store and got it replace. They once again said it was ok to use the blackberry charger. So i let the new battery run down as the guy said and began to charge w/ my blackberry car charger for about 30 min. I noticed the orange charger light was not on. I unplugged the charger and the phone will not even turn on now. Verizon is overnighting me another Incredible.Listen to others if you want or take your chances, but the tech guy at Verizons main tech support center said to use only Htc chargers. **SO USE YOUR BB CHARGERS ON YOUR INCREDIBLE AT YOUR OWN RISK**

View 14 Replies View RelatedI am having issues with my Gmail push feature. I opted for the Gmail app instead of the HTC mail app. The only issue is my emails aren't being pushed to my phone. When I go into the Gmail app and click on accounts & check the settings it has Auto Sync checked and also the correct Gmail account. When I go to settings>Accounts & Sync> Auto Sync is checked there as well along with my Gmail account. I have sent numerous test emails from my work PC to my personal Gmail account but the emails aren't popping up as new notifications or even in the Gmail app until I actually open the Gmail app several minutes later. What is going on here? I thought Gmail was supposed to be a true "Push" mail client that worked on the Incredible.

I was surprised that I didn't receive any emails today, then I checked my computer and saw that I had several. So I hit refresh on my phone a they popped up in my inbox. I sent a test email after that and didn't receive it until I hit refresh. Can someone guide me through getting it working again?

The phone doesn't show my flagged emails and if I flag an email using the phone they don't show up in Outlook. Everything else seems to be syncing just fine for me (read/unread, deleting, calendars etc).

Tried opening files from email with pdf reader program and quickoffice or whatever its called. Neither type of file would open. Tried to download then open files with same problem. Files are definitely .pdf and .doc, just opened and rad them on laptop now. Also confused...is there any way to look at my SD card folders and files through a phone app? Can't figure out how to see anything other then my music and photos.

I've had blackberrys for a number of years, and I've simply lost interest in them. My 2yr contract has been up for awhile, and it's about time to replace the old curve. While I attempted to demo an Incredible(local store's model was dead) I was wondering how smoothly the transition from using a BB will be to an android phone like the incredible? How much more capable is the Incredible than my BB? I have friends that have Iphones, but I'm not interested in changing from VW, so that is not an option.

He just replaced his Blackberry Tour with the EVO and wants to know how he can sync or transfer all of the blackberry stuff onto his new EVO. Stuff like music, calendar, photos, ringer, documents, etc. I already have him set up on google gmail so I am not sure if that make a difference. Any thoughts would be great. I'm having some buyers' remorse (annoying interface, keyboard, crashes), and was hoping for suggestions on an alternative. I'm out of my Tmobile contract - so I can hop to another carrier. Can someone suggest a good blackberry-like phone running android? I tried the Motorola Charm, but found it underpowered. Here are my needs - Blackberry-like physical keyboard for 1 handed typing Blackberry-like size (don't really care about having a HUGE screen)

Just made the switch from Blackberry to the Droid, and I couldn't be happier. One of the handiest things about the Blackberry was the MemoPad. It was very simple, and I would keep info in it like a grocery lists and even passwords (for low-risk things such as forum passwords), etc. I'm sure there's something for Android that does the same thing, but has anyone else made the switch and found something similar?

Or will I need to mount the card in my computer and copy all of the photos and stuff she wants to save, let Android reformat the card, mount it in the computer and transfer the stuff back onto the card? I did have google sync for my calender installed and working; but since I mainly work on office 2010 beta, gsync doesnt work. So, i hadent noticed the gsync wasnt syncing with my calender. That being said is there a known way to get the data over? Phone service is terminated so it has to be done tehtering to the PC somehow..I was able to get contacts no problems there as I had them in many locations, but would like the notes also.

I know the simplest way to do it would have been to Google Sync my contacts into my Gmail from my BB then sync them to the EVO, but unfortunately, I can't do that now. The SIM in my BB is out thanks to my number transfer so no data, and I didn't have Google Sync installed.
I have a little over 200 contacts in my BB, and as I'm sure you understand putting all of them in manually is near insanity. Anyone in the same boat as me? Any solutions to this or is a long night of manual contact switching in my future?
