Initially, I thought I just needed to change my Outlook settings so it would leave a copy of messages on the server, which I did. But still, only around half my emails actually come to my phone.Has anyone else had this problem?

Has anyone noticed their gmail not really PUSHING anymore? I think it's happened since the required update Verizon sent out this morning. I have to hit Refresh to get the new stuff to dump. Anyone else have this problem and/or know what's up?
View 4 Replies View RelatedUntil today, my gmail was working great (I use the gmail app). Then today, it just stopped working. I was surprised that I didn't receive any emails today, then I checked my computer and saw that I had several. So I hit refresh on my phone a they popped up in my inbox. I sent a test email after that and didn't receive it until I hit refresh. Can someone guide me through getting it working again?

The problem is all old emails are continuously coming back to the device! she has deleted them both from the phone also from a regular pc and they come back still....I looked into the app called (k9) however it doesn't look like it supports smtp only Imap and pop3.

My phone's stock gmail app will show new emails so I look at them and then they are all read, showing 0 new.But when I login to the web browser version, 5 minutes or even later(up to hours later), the web browser gmail is not updating to show that I already read the emails.I'm on JH2. So maybe it is a bug with the firmware?Or maybe a setting got changed but I'm not seeing how to handle the issue.

I can see the folders that I've created a long time ago but nothing is in them. I read a couple of threads saying that I should enable labels but I'm not sure how to do that on the Incredible. I don't have that option under "menu" for it.

View 3 Replies View Related When I set my phone up it loaded every singe contact from my GMAIL contacts onto my phone. I don't necessarily want all of these clogging up my phone, but when I go to delete them from my phone they also get deleted from my contact list in GMAIL. Also the same with emails. If I delete them on my phone, they get removed from GMAIL inbox.
My old blackberry would give the an option of "delete from phone" or "delete from phone AND gmail".

The notifications are not coming through on gmail when I get a mail and when I go into the inbox it wont update manually either.
Also this morning I discovered that I cant get into google talk anymore, it simply will not even open. Everything was working fine up till yesterday.Is there a problem with google at the moment I don't know about?
My nephew sees me on google chat when I have my phone on and can send me chat messages that show up as a notification where the heck is this program on the evo? They are coming across as IM's and I can reply back but if I clear the notification, for the life of me I can't find the app on the phone that is doing this? How are these IM's getting to me and what app can I open up to reply? I do not want to just be able to drop down the notifications to reply I want to use te app. Again these are NOT SMS messages these are actual IM's.
View 3 Replies View Relatedim not an expert on how push email works, but my understanding is that gmail messages should appear on my phone without me having to refresh or manually sync the gmail app. for a reason unknown to me, sometimes this works and sometimes it doesnt. at night, i shut down wifi and the mobile network to conserve battery and start up the mobile network when i leave for work in the morning. i get notification of new yahoo email, thru the htc widget, almost instantaneously, yet gmail doesnt come thru until i manually sync the gmail app. then during the course of the day, sometimes gmail messages get pushed right thru and other times not at all until i manually sync the app. meanwhile my yahoo mail comes thru flawlessly.
considering gmail is supposed to push and the htc widget does not, this is the opposite of what i expect. as far as settings, i have auto sync enabled for both the device and for the gmail app. while i always assume user error until proven otherwise, in this instance i think i have all the correct settings, which makes sense considering sometimes gmail does get pushed. its just erratic and unpredictable. anybody got any ideas what's going on here?
My gmail was coming in pretty fast, now today it isn't. I have to manually refresh it now. Maybe I changed something, if so can you direct me where I need to check please? They are not showing up in my notification nar at this time (after refresh) either. I really like that bar too! Also, the data sycnronizing or connected HTC Sync icon (right by the gps and 3g icons) keeps coming on and off every few seconds. Is this normal? While I'm at it, the 3g icon's arrows (up and down) do the same thing all the time.I'm a yahoo guy and setup my gmail to import my yahoo, now all day it hasn't been when refreshing, etc. Gmail issues today perhaps? I think from all of my reading on here and messing with the phone I did something perhaps?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI don't use gmail app, I use normal email app like normal people who does not want to use 3 different email apps for 3 different accounts, so when I get an e-mail in Gmail and I delete it, it keeps coming back as new e-mail. When I open it it shows for a few seconds and then disappears, then new email count disappears. After I go back to using the phone new email appears again, then the same cycle..

View 14 Replies View RelatedI am having issues with my Gmail push feature. I opted for the Gmail app instead of the HTC mail app. The only issue is my emails aren't being pushed to my phone. When I go into the Gmail app and click on accounts & check the settings it has Auto Sync checked and also the correct Gmail account. When I go to settings>Accounts & Sync> Auto Sync is checked there as well along with my Gmail account. I have sent numerous test emails from my work PC to my personal Gmail account but the emails aren't popping up as new notifications or even in the Gmail app until I actually open the Gmail app several minutes later. What is going on here? I thought Gmail was supposed to be a true "Push" mail client that worked on the Incredible.

The phone doesn't show my flagged emails and if I flag an email using the phone they don't show up in Outlook. Tried opening files from email with pdf reader program and quickoffice or whatever its called. Neither type of file would open. Tried to download then open files with same problem. Files are definitely .pdf and .doc, just opened and rad them on laptop now. Also confused...is there any way to look at my SD card folders and files through a phone app? Can't figure out how to see anything other then my music and photos.
