Have they come up with a way to transfer texts from a Blackberry to HTC Incredible yet? I heard sprite mobile had a solution. I am coming from a BB Storm 2 and I am feeling kind of sad leaving my Blackberry mostly because of Blackberry Messenger!

I am wondering if anyone knows of a way to transfer SMS and MMS messages from my Blackberry Curve 8330 to my HTC Hero (Sprint). I've been looking everywhere for an answer, but not really finding one. Also, if it helps at all, I use a MAC (in case there could be the possibility of a OS to computer transfer).

I know the simplest way to do it would have been to Google Sync my contacts into my Gmail from my BB then sync them to the EVO, but unfortunately, I can't do that now. The SIM in my BB is out thanks to my number transfer so no data, and I didn't have Google Sync installed.
I have a little over 200 contacts in my BB, and as I'm sure you understand putting all of them in manually is near insanity. Anyone in the same boat as me? Any solutions to this or is a long night of manual contact switching in my future?

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is confirmed by Verizon, so take warning.I got my Incredible on Tues, used my BB charger on my phone because the Verizon store said it was ok since it was still a micro usb. My battery started dying after about a few hours. Tried every trick in the book and still died afte about 3 hrs.Went to the Verizon store and got it replace. They once again said it was ok to use the blackberry charger. So i let the new battery run down as the guy said and began to charge w/ my blackberry car charger for about 30 min. I noticed the orange charger light was not on. I unplugged the charger and the phone will not even turn on now. Verizon is overnighting me another Incredible.Listen to others if you want or take your chances, but the tech guy at Verizons main tech support center said to use only Htc chargers. **SO USE YOUR BB CHARGERS ON YOUR INCREDIBLE AT YOUR OWN RISK**

Phone security - I've just moved from my Sony Ericsson C510 and have had other SE phones over the last 4 or 5 years and all have had the option to have a SIM lock and a phone lock, so basically you enter two pins at startup. I have managed to set the SIM lock on my X10 so it asks for a code at each startup, but the only other options I see for a lock are the pattern drawing thing, which admittedly I haven't attempted to set up yet. Is there anything where I can enter a code-based phone lock like on my old C510?
2. I have managed to transfer all of my contacts from my C510 using the send-all option over bluetooth, but is there anything I can do to transfer all of my texts to the X10?
3. Wallpaper. On all of my previous SE phones, it has always given me the option to use either a standard picture size or a maximised size for my phone wallpapers. On the X10 it forces me to crop my picture to a size which is not ideal! (e.g - if i wanted a pic of someone as my wallpaper, it would probably just cover their eyes!) To make this worse, once the selection is selected, the wallpaper is horribly zoomed and blocky. Surely I am doing something wrong and this can be resolved??
4. Where is the file system? Unlike my previous phones there is no file manager.
5. Is it possible to switch apps when they are running? If I am running an App, Opera for example, and I press the back/home buttons, the only way I can get back to opera is to goto the main menu and click on it. Surely it should be running in the tray at the top (like ebuddy does when I run that, even after I've pressed back/home
My phone sends texts by itself...it will resend texts randomly to people i had sent them too already. Has happened about 6 times. Just this morning i turned my phone off when i get to work to charge it and turn it on...and i show i sent a text to my gf at 12:09pm...its now only 9:25AM. WTF? Its always force closing as well. What the heck is going on?

I'm using GV for texting and want to completely drop my texting plan but also don't want to get hit with loads of texts coming to the wrong number. I've had blackberrys for a number of years, and I've simply lost interest in them. My 2yr contract has been up for awhile, and it's about time to replace the old curve. While I attempted to demo an Incredible(local store's model was dead) I was wondering how smoothly the transition from using a BB will be to an android phone like the incredible? How much more capable is the Incredible than my BB? I have friends that have Iphones, but I'm not interested in changing from VW, so that is not an option.
