I have like 640mbs available for memory, however when I try to check my messages I am getting an error message that my phone memory is full and that I need to delete some files, but I really don't anything on there.

Spent hour and half on phone with Verizon and HTC. No luck. Phone says Phone storage is full. Delete some files to free up space.

View 4 Replies View RelatedNot had my desire long but down loaded a few apps for it they all seem to be stored on phone memory not the sd card. what is stored to the sd card seems to be unused so far. do you have to set it up to use sd card or does it know one is fitted. does it switch to sd card when phone memory full. will run out of space soon if can't get things to store to card instead of phone mem.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have tried a lot of custom Roms. I'm on Neat ROM Lite now. Not sure which ROM changed my file access permission settings to cause this problem but I'm not able to delete any files from my external memory card. I was able to delete when I was on stock rom. The other problem is for a few apps I get an error message which says can't install on usb/sd card. I have posted this in another thread some time back but got no response.
This is what my file permission looks like.
I am able to delete when my fone is connected to PC via USB. So I don't think it has anything to do with a faulty sd card.
I'm getting a "Low on Space" Icon but when I check my "SD Card and Phone Storage" it seems I have plenty of space left or am I just reading it wrong? Does "Available Space" not mean, the space I have left to work with?

So i remember seeing somewhere that froyo would show all 512 of our memory or something..did this happen? where do we notice it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am fairly new to the whole rooting thing but I managed to get my Evo rooted with unrevoked and then loaded Fresh 3.3 on it a week or so later. I did a couple of back ups using titanium back up, one of the stock ROM and one with the fresh ROM. I kept these on the SD card but I think I should move them to my computer b/c they are large files. What should I have done once I installed Fresh 3.3? Is there something on the root of the SD card I should have deleted? I don't have the space to update to the fresh 3.4 right now and would like to get it updated ASAP.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had my Desire for about 3 week snow. I absolutely loved it at first but am becoming increasingly frustrated. Main problem is the battery needs charging so often. I have done all the things suggested, dimmed lights, changed wall paper,turned off internet etc., but after playing a few games and making a couple of calls back to the charger it goes.
Now, today I went to send an sms and it says phone is full and won't let me send a text.! What's with that? 3 weeks old and it's full? I'm in shock. I have deleted as many msgs as I can and deleted some apps I don't use but still I can't send a text or open one. I really don't know what I can delete and now think this is going to be an eternal problem. This phone has turned from a huge delight to a huge disappointment for me and I haven't even paid my first bill.

Have 11G of 14 on SD card, but only 25MB free on internal phone storage.
Just got a text message that wouldnt come thru, and it said 'no text message space left'.
Just uninstalled somethings that were 10MB, now giving me 35MB free but
I keep getting texts, the phone vibrates , which it wasn't set to do, and says 'text memory full'. I am assuming it is vibrating to give me a warning.
Can I clear some of the text memory, or must I clear all of it. And if so for either, how do I do this.
I have moved apps to sd card that makes sense.
How can I free up more space.
Sorry if this has been posted, but how do you delete something from the pdf files. I downloaded the wrong thing.

Has any1 been successful in using Astro or any other file manager to move files from the SD Card to the internal Memory located at /EMCC/ ? I've tried a couple times, both moving small amount of files and/or entire folders and got Error messages in Astro. Is this just lack of support or can u really just add files using a Computer to the internal memory?

View 1 Replies View Relatedis there any way of managing/deleting files (eg PDFs that you download) on the SD card from the phone itself ? ie can you do it without connecting to a PC and mounting as disk drive ?Also - just bought a 16gb SD card and it seems like the speed of access/saving photos and transferring music from PC is much slower than with the 4GB card that came with the phone. Today, higher, every time someone texts me it says in the notifications "text message memory full (incoming message rejected due to full memory. Please delete old messages...)". However, when I check my phone memory it says there is still 16mb left, and my SD card has 1.3 gb left. I went to "manage Sim card messages" and it says there are no messages on the Sim card. So i deleted some of my threads that had over 200 msgs and nothing happened. Whats up? I mean I thought it could hold infinite number of text messages.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI uploaded about 50 pictures from iPhoto (using a Mac) just to see what they looked like and then later formatted the Droid's SD card, so the pictures were no longer there.
Now, if I mount the Droid via USB and view the file structure there is a folder named /albumthumbs which contains 50 files, presumably for the 50 pictures a had on the SD card.
To me, these file, unless linking to actual photos stored on the SD card, take up extra space in the phone's memory (not worried about the SD card). I wonder if I can safely delete them (just the files...not the folder)?
My phone is telling me that my storage is FULL. There is NO way that is possible. When I go to settings, it says I have 6.43GB free. How the hell do I fix this?
