I have an HTC Incredible and it comes with 7 panels (Which is standard for the HTC SenseUI)
Is there a way to customize this? Lets say if I wanted 5? If not, is there an app that can do it?

Have an incredible. is there any way to change the number of bars or the -db level of the bars? For instance, I'd like to change it to six bars or have the fourth bar be at minimum a -85 db level.
Anyway to do this?
Under each contact person it gives the chance to enter numerous numbers (i.e. home, mobile, work). then when u go to that person it gives a ton of options. For example if work, home and mobile are all listed it will give the option to call all 3 numbers and send message to all 3 numbers. Obviously I can't send message to work or home numbers. So....my questions is can I somehow delete the options to send message to home and work numbers? That way the the only options listed are: call home, call work, call mobile and message mobile. Also I did it once and forget how...but how can I change which number is the primary one on a person's contact list?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a quick question about editing a contact that I was hoping someone might be able to help me out with. When looking at a contact, you will notice that one phone number (and one email address) is marked as "Primary". When calling without directly using contacts - just the list that pops up as you are typing the number or name - the phone call will be made to the number that is marked as "primary" instead of giving a choice. How do you change the "Primary" number for a contact? So far, the only way I have found to do it is to delete all numbers except for the one I want as the primary, and then add the rest after. Is there a way in editing the contact to just make this change without deleting the numbers and adding them back?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've experienced two problems with Google Voice that are causing me to get charged minutes I wouldn't usually get charged. If I can't solve them, I'll have to go back to using my Verizon number. First, let me say that I'm using a new Google Voice number that isn't Verizon cell phone number or any other preexisting number. Second, my girlfriend is on my family plan, but she doesn't have GV yet. We're using the 700-minute plan, so we don't have a friends circle.
Problem 1: When I call my girlfriend's Verizon wireless phone using the GV on my Verizon phone, I get charged, and when she calls my GV number on my Verizon Wireless phone from her Verizon wireless phone, she gets charged. We don't cash in on our free in-network calling. I know, this should have been obvious, but it just never occurred to me until after I looked at the bill. I'd be able to work with that, though, and just select "Call without using Google Voice" or whatever when calling her if it weren't for the second problem. When people call my Google Voice number, I get charged when I don't answer. Usually, it's just a one-minute charge, but sometimes it's two or three minutes (don't know why). With anything less than an unlimited plan, minutes count. Not good.
I'd also like a way to change the default, if possible.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm selling my house, and my old phone number (which is still active), is on the advertisment signs and MLS. So, I'm going to keep paying my bill month to month for that account until I sell the house.
However, I'd rather not carry around 2 different phones. I did not port my number to my new service as my old number was not "local" to where I live now.
So, I have service with T-mobile and now Verizon with two different numbers. Can I set-up something where anyone who calls my T-mobile number, will ring through to my my Verizon phone/number?
I thought I read this somewhere but cannot find it now, it could have been a dream too. But I thought I read that if you did the pre-order on the Incredible with Best Buy, and then ported your number to Verizon when you picked it up, you would get $50 off the cost of the phone that day. Since I cannot find this, it is starting to look like the SMART30 promo code on VZW's site would be better since you get $30 off the price.

It primarily happens while I'm listing to music through my bluetooth headphones or my car stereo (connected via bluetooth). When the phone restarts it can't start the bluetooth and I get a force close of a system process. I have to pull the battery and cold boot it to get bluetooth back. Bad hardware?

Experiencing a frustrating issue with dialing phone numbers from my address book or Exchange GAL that contain extensions - typically preceeded by an "X" or "ext" or "-". Android ignores these delimeters and simply appends the extension to the main number, which then gets interpreted as an international number and the first 3 digits are assumed to be the country code. This renders all phone numbers with extensions unusable. Since I don't have edit capabilities of my company's GAL I can't just go make changes.What character are people using to separate extensions from the main number?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently switched from T-mobile to Verizon, and just picked up my nice shiny new HTC Incredible phone. It works great, with one exception.Whenever I get an incoming call, the phone just shows that I have an incoming call but doesn't show the caller's phone number, or the name if they are one of my contacst. It doesn't matter if the call is coming from a land line, a Verizon mobile phone, or whether or not they are on of my contacts, each time all it shows is incoming call, and nothing esle.I probably have some setting screwed up, but so far I can't find it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have my office voicemail as a contact but to enter it, I need a long pause (while it rings) and then several more digits to enter my system.The 'P' represents a pause.That is how it worked on my older LG phone.I needed 4 of them while the phone was ringing.Once the pauses ended (and the call was connected), it would enter the rest of the numbers to enter my voicemail system. When I send that number on this phone, it adds '011' to the beginning and the call is lost.Not sure why it does it but there has to be another way to add pauses.

I would like all of my contact's primary numbers to call home numbers and not mobile numbers. However, some of them are set to Work as primary while others are set to Home. How do I change this? My internet order # is 52001xxxx and it says "Your order has been processed. You should receive your order within 2 - 3 business days." for order status, but Verizon can not tell if it has shipped yet and do not have a tracking number yet. I have called several times yesterday and today and have heard it should be here Wend, then it should be here Thursday and maybe it might be here Friday. nobody really know when the heck I'll receive it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI signed up with google voice through my university email and i can access it on my pc and what not, it says have a google number and when i call it i can get my voice mail, and i get transcribed voicemails and what not. however, when i downloaded the app from the market and and to activate it under 'voice' settings i get to the step where i enter my pin and the it says 'Your phone number could not be verified. Please try again later' what gives?i have tried over a week or so and it still gives me the same message. i read that if you chose the 'different' account option and type in your email that will work but when i do that it says my password is wrong. also, when i hold down the '1' on my phone it takes me to my Verizon voice mail, i though i was using google voice? i must say this is a very confusing service so far.

She has a BlackBerry Tour on Verizon. Today, I got basically the same thing - a message from "CJOHNS235@sprintpcs.com" and the body is "EPPlCARD LLBH alert 521148. call 828-268-**** ". I googled the phone number and apparently it's some guy named Steve in North Carolina. If it was an email I wouldn't be worried, but it came to my phone number. I never give out my cell number for anything.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have my Incredible set up to synchronize with my work's exchange server. I have a ton of meetings, and I rely upon the phone's 10-minute reminder to play an alert sound before each meeting. This is very handy. What I don't like is that there is no way to set the frequency (i.e., the repeat) for the audible calendar event reminders. It seems like they will just keep going off forever every 5 or 10 minutes, even after the meeting has started, until I hunt my phone down, turn it on, slide the screen lock down, slide the notification area down, select the reminder, and select "Dismiss". And then when my next meeting comes up again, same issue. It was driving me crazy, to the point that I simply turned off the reminder notifications entirely. Is there any way I can tell this phone, "When there is a meeting in ten minutes, please play exactly 3 audible reminder alerts: 10 minutes before, 5 minutes before, and when the meeting time has started.

I never liked using the keyboard when you open it, I am so much faster doing it on the front screen with itap on the numbers. Does the droid have a setting like this where you can change it from a keyboard to a number pad and text that way? Help would be appreciated, I am a big texter and it will be a big factor.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOk. So I've switched from a Moto Droid to an Incredible. The contacts are a bit different. I'm having a problem, and HTC customer service says there's no solution. With the Droid you could choose to label a number for a contact (assuming the contact has multiple numbers or e-mails) as the primary number. I never figured out how to get rid of any primary designation, but that's another matter. Well, with the Incredible, the People app automatically designates a number as primary. You can change the primary number, but you can't eliminate it, which is annoying for two reasons: 1. in the dialer, when you type the person's name only the primary number comes up and 2. in the People app when you tap on the contact's photo to get the methods of contacting and then press phone, it auto dials the primary number only. I have several contacts who use multiple numbers with equal frequency. Plus, to top it off, HTC's People app listed the wrong number as the primary in many instances, which means I have to go through all my contacts on the phone. This is a phone-specific feature and is unrelated to Google contacts. So, that's my complaint today. It's purely about functionality, and it applies equally to e-mail addresses as well as phone numbers.

whenever i get a phone call, the number comes up, and the contact its linked with shows, but so does the cell tower location...anyway of disabling this annoying town/state info,,,,all i need is incoming number and name if contact.
