HTC Desire HD :: Device Does Not Sync With Lotus Notes?
Nov 3, 2010I received my DHD yesterday and realize that it does not communicate/sync with Lotus Notes. Anyone that knows how to do it? Any free software/apps available?

HTC Hero :: Lotus Notes - Google Calendar Sync
Aug 17, 2009My Nokia could synchronise with his easily (and over Bluetooth!). I know there isn't a specific app for Android which will let me do this with the Hero, but wondered if anybody know's of a 'two step approach'. i.e. get Lotus Notes to sync the calender with, say, Google Calender; then get the Hero to sync with google calender.

Aug 31, 2009I have searched all over the internet, but I couldnt find any app that allows me to sync my Lotus Notes calender with my HTC Magic. All I have found are applications that sync Lotus Notes over Google Calender. It's serious company security guideline offense, and I sure as hell do not want my corporate data to be uploaded to a 3rd party server. I cannot believe that there is no app. ( now when the 2nd generation Android phones are starting to emerge) that can sync via USB, without resorting to Google Calendar.
This is a serious issue for me, and I am sure for other business users aswell, that do not want their company data to be uploaded to Google. I am very well aware that Lotus/Domino is not as popular as Outlook/Exchange, but alas, I have no choice, since it's my companies messaging platform of choice. Am I missing out on something? Can anyone point me towards an app that I have perhaps omitted?
Just give me my USB-sync back!
HTC Magic :: Desktop Sync With Lotus Notes - Calendar And Contacts
Sep 12, 2009I need to be able to sync my Lotus notes calendar and contacts with my HTC Hero. The sync must be done directly from my desktop to the phone, so what I am looking for is a one step sync. For security reasons I can not use a two step process where I sync notes to google email or other providers. It is not necessary to sync email, only calendar and contacts. Is this possible?

Dec 12, 2009I'm wondering if there is a way for me to access Domino Web (work email through the internet) from my Samsung Moment. I have no problem accessing my work email from any regular computer, but when I try to access it with my phone a message comes back saying the server is not available (ie. it won't let me in from my mobile phone). I don't know if this is a firewall security thing with Lotus Notes/Server administration or if my phone's browser can't handle it. Is there a certain android browser I should be using or is there an app that I can download that will allow me to access my webmail? When a mobile device tries to access a site, does the site know it's a mobile device? Is there any way around this?The way I access work email through the internet is by going to a specific web site and logging into the site. From there I can see my email. I can't do this with my phone.

May 18, 2010I am using LN 8.5 and syncing the calendar and contacts to my Incredible. There are only certain calendar entries that are not syncing successfully to my phone. I have tried the following, with no luck:
1) Completely erase the calendar on my phone.
2) Removed the calendar entries from Lotus Notes and re-added them. One entry is a repeating entry in which I was not the creator of the entry. The other entry was a single entry in which I was not the creator.
3) Done a soft reset of my device and rebooted my PC.

May 14, 2010When I connect my Desire with a USB cable, the PC says "Device not recognised", and the phone keeps searching for a while untill it says it cannot find HTC Sync. No contact is possible, also not as diskdrive. What I have tried to solve this; Downloaded latest version of HTC Sync, gave it a fresh install (firewall and internet connection turned off), rebooted PC, rebooted phone, but to no avail. Also I checked the USB ports in Device manager, and at one port (the one with the Desire connected), it says "unknown device". It looks like no drivers are installed.
I also tried copying the drivers manually to the win32 directory, but this did not help. All this I repeated several times, browsed the web for hours and hours, made a handfull of calls to the friendly people at HTC, but neither of these solved the issue. To complicate matters; the first couple of days Syncing just worked fine, the two weeks after that not anymore. On some occasions, after a complete new installation-session, the device connected once, but not anymore after that. Since the calendar has become the center pillar of my existence, I am on the verge of becoming hugely frustrated. Hoping the truth is out there, and somebody of you guys knows about it..

The software and drivers installed without a problem.The device, however, was not recognized by Sync. Try as I might.Tinkered with the settings in the handset, too - eg. prompt to choose function (I don't even get a prompt when I connect the USB!), checked debugger mode, et al.The phone continues to charge; and that's the only thing that happens.I am running Windows XP (32 bit), SP3. (While downloading the software from HTC's website, I had chosen the option 'Asia no use.I went a step further - by trying to install the older version (2.0.28). Found it on the internet.

But I have gobs of outlook notes that I want to use on my Sprint Hero. MyLink Access (Advanced) is about the only one that I have found, but their developers have not released anything other than the free version. They told me the advanced would be released before Christmas. I know it is not Christmas yet, but I just don't see that in the future. I would settle for an application that I could manage on my desktop so that I could retype all the notes and then have the desktop synch with the phone ..

May 18, 2010I have an HTC Incredible on Verison running Android 2.1. With the Blackberry (NOT Exchange), I was easily able to sync contacts, calendar, Tasks, and notes with my BB. I cannot seem to do this with the Incredible.
I actually found an HTC Sync program on my phone which I installed and was able to sync the calendar and contacts once, but I have been unable to do so again. I have not found any snyc for notes or tasks. This seems like such a standard need that I cannot understand why it is not a basic ability on this awesome phone.
Anyway, I need to be able to sync my contacts, calendar, tasks and notes AND I would like to be able to backup my phone to my PC.
Motorola Droid X :: Memos / Notes Sync With Gmail
Nov 3, 2010I have being trying to find an app the syncs Memos on my Droid X with either my computer or with Gmail. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find the right app. So my approach is to set up a contact in Gmail and populate the "Note" field only with my Memo information. Then on my Droid X & in Gmail, I set up a contact group titled "Memos" and added these contacts to that group. This way, the "Memos" are on my handheld and sync'd with Gmail and can be viewed separately from my other contacts when I look at the "Memos" contact group.
It would be nice if we were able to automatically sync our "groups" in Gmail with the "groups" on Droid X instead of setting up the groups manually, but this is another one of the stupid deficiencies in the Droid X software.
Sprint HTC Hero :: Best Notes Application / Sync Data Is Encrypted
Jul 31, 2010For those of us Palm fans who have been searching for an application for notes/memo pad that can sync easily to the phone and laptop, the best one I have found so far is B-Folders. I have created notes on my laptop, edited them, deleted etc., then sync through WiFi to my HTC Hero easily. All notes are synced exactly, no duplicates, no weird stuff going on - and if I delete a note on my laptop, then it is deleted on my phone. It is phenomenal except that you can't yet sync using your cable (i.e. you always need Internet access to sync your phones). So this morning, Saturday 31 July, about 8.45 am, I emailed the company who makes it (Welcome to JointLogic!) and asked them when would we be able to sync with a cable i.e. direct to the computer without using internet. Less than 15 minutes later I got a response (remember, this is a Saturday morning): which was:
We are working on USB sync and we aim to make it available before the end of August. Until then you will be able to sync when there is a network connection. You can safely use public WiFi hot-sopts because the sync data is encrypted. How is that for great customer service. the app on your phone is free, but if you want it on your computer and to be able to sync, it will be around $29.99 but in my eyes, well worth it. There's nothing else out there like this as far as I can tell.
