I have about 300 notes in my outlook and need to know how to sync or get them over to my MyTouch 3G. Also I would love to sync these notes ongoing so that I have a backup somewhere. What app do I use to do this?

But I have gobs of outlook notes that I want to use on my Sprint Hero. MyLink Access (Advanced) is about the only one that I have found, but their developers have not released anything other than the free version. They told me the advanced would be released before Christmas. I know it is not Christmas yet, but I just don't see that in the future. I would settle for an application that I could manage on my desktop so that I could retype all the notes and then have the desktop synch with the phone ..
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an HTC Incredible on Verison running Android 2.1. With the Blackberry (NOT Exchange), I was easily able to sync contacts, calendar, Tasks, and notes with my BB. I cannot seem to do this with the Incredible.
I actually found an HTC Sync program on my phone which I installed and was able to sync the calendar and contacts once, but I have been unable to do so again. I have not found any snyc for notes or tasks. This seems like such a standard need that I cannot understand why it is not a basic ability on this awesome phone.
Anyway, I need to be able to sync my contacts, calendar, tasks and notes AND I would like to be able to backup my phone to my PC.
I switched from WM6.1 to HTC Hero. One of the most requested features for HTC Sync is to Sync Outlook tasks/notes. I really need to sync Outlook To-Do Tasks but it seems that it cannot be done. Any alternative options can be done? Thanks in advance!

View 4 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how to sync a calendar of a HTC Android device with Outlook AND Google Calendar? I explicitly mention "a calendar" and "a HTC Android device" since this seems to be a general problem.I installed HTC Sync 3.0 and managed to get Outlook Calendar items from Outlook to the HTC Wildfire. Frustratingly HTC Sync creates a new Calendar on my phone called "PC Sync". So all the items go there. Since this is a new calendar not a single calendar item from my phone goes to Outlook. When I move or create appointments in this new category, they also appear in Outlook. Though this category issue is annoying, the most annoying is that these appointments do not appear in Google Calendar. The new category is simply not there. I suspect "HTC Sync" is a special local category like "My Calendar" is.HTC obviously doesn't quite understand what "synchronization" means and what customers want. Unbelievable that HTC creates its own category where by default there is only one-way synchronization. Not to speak from synchronization from the phone and Google Calendar. Does anyone have an idea how to get Outlook and Google Calendar synchronized via my HTC device?

That info is verbatim off my phone. Seems odd at points but i really triple checked.
My problem is that i cannot sync my device with Outlook. It starts the sync the first time i install everything, including HTC Sync and the HTC xp driver, but times out about halfway through the process, leaving me with names in the contacts but none of the actual info on the phone. Just empty contact names.
HTC and Rogers are unable to help me. I have used Windows mob. for the last 5 years and have never had a problem on any of my several home built and store bought computers. This is a first! So i have this phone i paid a bunch of cash for and its primary purpose (to me at least) being a portable outlook, is effed.
Anyone at all have this trouble? The last tech support guy i spoke with at Rogers admitted to me, probably shouldn't have, that he can't get his phone to sync either and he gave up and went back to iphone.

I see that there are quite a few posts asking about whether there's an application that will sync your Outlook Notes to your handhelpd (Droid), but it doesn't appear to be any recent posts on it.
Does anyone know if any apps out there will do this? I've read how to export the Notes as a csv file, and impor them, but the syncing is what I'm really after.

i can sync calendars, contacts, tasks fine from my android to gmail/calendar.
But how can i sync my notes that i type in my android phone?, i don't see that section in gmail or the google calendar... (actually, i don't think there is even an official android notes/memo app yet..)
I finally got my work email sync'd on my Android phone (Outlook). However, all my annoying meetings from work are now popping up as "notifications" in my phone's status bar. I can't stand corporate meetings, which are a colossal waster of time, and i don't want to be reminded of all the meetings on my work schedule. I was able to successfully turn of the Outlook mail notifications on my phone (and I still get Gmail notifications, since they are two separate email systems, which is exactly what I want). How do I turn my "Outlook calendar reminders," but still be reminded of my Google Calendar reminders, which is my personal, and far more important, calendar?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have searched all over the internet, but I couldnt find any app that allows me to sync my Lotus Notes calender with my HTC Magic. All I have found are applications that sync Lotus Notes over Google Calender. It's serious company security guideline offense, and I sure as hell do not want my corporate data to be uploaded to a 3rd party server. I cannot believe that there is no app. ( now when the 2nd generation Android phones are starting to emerge) that can sync via USB, without resorting to Google Calendar.
This is a serious issue for me, and I am sure for other business users aswell, that do not want their company data to be uploaded to Google. I am very well aware that Lotus/Domino is not as popular as Outlook/Exchange, but alas, I have no choice, since it's my companies messaging platform of choice. Am I missing out on something? Can anyone point me towards an app that I have perhaps omitted?

My Nokia could synchronise with his easily (and over Bluetooth!). I know there isn't a specific app for Android which will let me do this with the Hero, but wondered if anybody know's of a 'two step approach'. i.e. get Lotus Notes to sync the calender with, say, Google Calender; then get the Hero to sync with google calender.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have being trying to find an app the syncs Memos on my Droid X with either my computer or with Gmail. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find the right app. So my approach is to set up a contact in Gmail and populate the "Note" field only with my Memo information. Then on my Droid X & in Gmail, I set up a contact group titled "Memos" and added these contacts to that group. This way, the "Memos" are on my handheld and sync'd with Gmail and can be viewed separately from my other contacts when I look at the "Memos" contact group.
It would be nice if we were able to automatically sync our "groups" in Gmail with the "groups" on Droid X instead of setting up the groups manually, but this is another one of the stupid deficiencies in the Droid X software.
For those of us Palm fans who have been searching for an application for notes/memo pad that can sync easily to the phone and laptop, the best one I have found so far is B-Folders. I have created notes on my laptop, edited them, deleted etc., then sync through WiFi to my HTC Hero easily. All notes are synced exactly, no duplicates, no weird stuff going on - and if I delete a note on my laptop, then it is deleted on my phone. It is phenomenal except that you can't yet sync using your cable (i.e. you always need Internet access to sync your phones). So this morning, Saturday 31 July, about 8.45 am, I emailed the company who makes it (Welcome to JointLogic!) and asked them when would we be able to sync with a cable i.e. direct to the computer without using internet. Less than 15 minutes later I got a response (remember, this is a Saturday morning): which was:

I need to be able to sync my Lotus notes calendar and contacts with my HTC Hero. The sync must be done directly from my desktop to the phone, so what I am looking for is a one step sync. For security reasons I can not use a two step process where I sync notes to google email or other providers. It is not necessary to sync email, only calendar and contacts. Is this possible?
