View 20 RepliesI am looking for an application that will link with Outlook. I synch with my exchange server for mail, contact, and calendar. But I have gobs of outlook notes that I want to use on my Sprint Hero. MyLink Access (Advanced) is about the only one that I have found, but their developers have not released anything other than the free version. They told me the advanced would be released before Christmas. I know it is not Christmas yet, but I just don't see that in the future. I would settle for an application that I could manage on my desktop so that I could retype all the notes and then have the desktop synch with the phone ..

View 1 Replies View RelatedIt's hard to believe that Google still hasn't updated Android to include a Task sync feature for Outlook. Then again, their contact photo resolution is still 60 pixels, so I sometimes wonder if anyone is even tending the store.

I actually found an HTC Sync program on my phone which I installed and was able to sync the calendar and contacts once, but I have been unable to do so again. I have not found any snyc for notes or tasks. This seems like such a standard need that I cannot understand why it is not a basic ability on this awesome phone.
Anyway, I need to be able to sync my contacts, calendar, tasks and notes AND I would like to be able to backup my phone to my PC.
I just bought the new HTC Dream on the 2nd and am finally getting around to setting it up. I downloaded Touchdown through the market, but am wondering if this is the best app to sync my microsoft calendar and tasks.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHow Do I Sync Captivate "Memo" to MS Outlook 2007 "Notes"? Is there an app? Can I just do it through Google (have already sync'd mail and calendar; contacts are sync'd via export/import)?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have not found an installed app that does Notes or Tasks. I am coming from a Blackberry running Outlook 2007 on a Microsoft Exchange Server and I have lots of both Tasks and Notes and I need to be able to sync. There some in the apps store, but none that sync to Outlook, just ones that sync to GMail.
Terrible choice on Google's part. Even the iTouch and iPhone sync to Outlook. If I can't solve this I will have return my Droid and go back to my BlackBerry.

I have now had my Desire for over a month and very happy with it so far except for one small annoyance. I'm a heavy user of my Outlook Tasks and am desperatly trying to find an app that allows me to sync my Outlook Tasks with my phone and add/amend for either side. Anyone know of a suitable app?

this is important for me, as much as gmail, calender and contact sync exists - tasks are ALSO VERY IMPORTANT?
I see that there are quite a few posts asking about whether there's an application that will sync your Outlook Notes to your handhelpd (Droid), but it doesn't appear to be any recent posts on it.
Does anyone know if any apps out there will do this? I've read how to export the Notes as a csv file, and impor them, but the syncing is what I'm really after.
I am getting a Hero next week and want to do my research ahead of time - I have lots of notes in my Outlook application and need to know how to get them into my new Hero next week. is there a good application already on the Hero that I can sync to or export them to? If not, does anyone have any recommendations for a notepad/memo app that doesn't need the internet, that I can sync to my laptop from my droid, and if possible, have the ability to enter private notes?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm a new user to android and although android is very clean, fast, stable, i realize there are some things it is missing.
i can sync calendars, contacts, tasks fine from my android to gmail/calendar.
But how can i sync my notes that i type in my android phone?, i don't see that section in gmail or the google calendar... (actually, i don't think there is even an official android notes/memo app yet..)
I have been looking for quite a while for an app that will cleanly sync Outlook Tasks to my phone. I have tried a number of them but they all seem to either add it to the calendar so I get 50 tasks everyday on my calendar or will only work with Gmail tasks. I find it hard to believe that no one has come up with an app that will sync all my tasks to a list on my phone. I live by the Outlook task list to keep me organized in my sales job. Having to do things twice (once in outlook and then in Astrid, for example, just is not practical.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI finally got my work email sync'd on my Android phone (Outlook). However, all my annoying meetings from work are now popping up as "notifications" in my phone's status bar. I can't stand corporate meetings, which are a colossal waster of time, and i don't want to be reminded of all the meetings on my work schedule. I was able to successfully turn of the Outlook mail notifications on my phone (and I still get Gmail notifications, since they are two separate email systems, which is exactly what I want). How do I turn my "Outlook calendar reminders," but still be reminded of my Google Calendar reminders, which is my personal, and far more important, calendar?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just updated to Jorte 1.2.2, which is supposed to be able to synchronize tasks with Google tasks.
Google calendar sync still works fine. I have selected my google calendar account as the "Task account".
(I know this was successful because it warns me that task sync is manual for now.)
I go to Menu->Tasks & Memo
I select Menu->Synchronize
The progress bar pops up. It pauses briefly at 30% and 60% but then always gives the error: There was an error while synchronizing your tasks to Google Tasks. Please Try again Later.
I thought it might be because of pre-existing tasks having funky data, so I deleted all tasks on both google and on the phone, and then tried one task on google, and when that failed, one task on the phone. Always the same error.
With task sync, Jorte becomes the TOTAL solution for calendars and tasks on the Android! If only I could get it to work.
My phone is the Verizon HTC Eris running Android OS 2.1.
Any ideas for apps to sync notes you take on your phone or PC with the other? I'm really missing the ability to sync the Outlook notes. Ever notes is not ideal because it requires a 'net connection. I would even be open to a USB sync.
