View 7 RepliesDon't know if this has been discussed, but I turn my phone off. Then plug it in and a unique floating battery level appears while charging and it's off.
View 1 Replies View RelatedNew Incredible user just looking for some feedback, my battery stats are the following:
Uptime: 12:06
Awake time: 2:58
Battery use:
-Android system: 34%
-Cell standby 29%
-Phone Idle 22%
-Display 8%
-Voice calls 4%
-Maps 3%
I've been reading all other posts and their android system is significantly lower is there something draining my battery?
i woke up this morning to find that my inc was pretty hot (left plugged in overnight to charge), and had not charged much (it only got to ~60% starting from 30ish). it also had the overheating warning blinking lights (alternate green and amber) going. i unplugged the phone and the blinking lights stopped and it cooled back down. when it was hot BatteryLeft was reporting 45C, right now it feels normal and reports 31.5C.should i be worried? all i did was plug it in and leave it on my desk like i normally do when charging, this is the first time it's ever done this for me.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy battery takes forever to charge about 2.5 hours from 10% to full. Anybody else have this issue. I have tried 5 different kernels all about the same.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm noticing the bump charge is becoming shorter and shorter when I goto do it. Its like 15 minutes max now. But it does still make a big difference. Be nice when they fix this. I feel silly double charging a lion battery.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'd love some input from anyone before I take my Incredible in for service, please.Three days ago I realized that the charging light was remaining yellow long beyond the phone's usual charge time. Even after leaving it plugged in overnight, the next morning I was still at less than half charge, going only by the Settings>About Phone>Battery>Battery Level graphical display. Last night same thing, whether the phone was on or off, still a yellow charge light. Today for the first time since I got the phone, the battery indicator itself turned yellow towards the end of the day.Preemptive facts:Prior to starting a new thread, I did a thorough search and found nothing related to this specific battery issue.I have the OEM, red, HTC battery, and have never charged it outside of the phone, or with any charging cable other than the one supplied with the phone. When I first received the phone, I charged it fully, unplugged, and bumped charged before turning it on. For about a week afterward I would charge to green while on, unplug, turn off, and "bump charge". I have never had trouble getting through the day on a single charge, and no, I don't think I was training a lithium ion battery, I believed I may have been training the software of the phone itself.I have tried charging the phone fully both on and off, and have not seen green for over two days. This includes continuous charging for over 10 hours.I have had the phone for roughly seven weeks. The phone does charge- just now I have gone from @25% (as measured on the aforementioned graphical display) to @40%, but at that point it seems to no longer charge, although the "Battery State" says "Charging AC" and the little battery icon shows the charging animation.Have I got a dead battery, or am I missing something? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI put the charger in the port and didn't realize that it wasn't charging until after I completely drained the battery. And yes, I plugged it in and checked the outlet. I got it at Best Buy. Is that where I should return it or can I do it at the Verizon store?
View 6 Replies View RelatedToday's my 4th day of using the phone. I just charged it while phone's on, from 1 bar of battery left. It only took 1 hour for the LCD light to go green? that doesn't sound right. Is that normal?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently noticed my Incredible 2 was only showing the battery life to be 50% after charging it overnight. I switched AC chargers and the problem continued. So I figured the battery was done, for whatever reason, and I ordered a replacement battery from Verizon directly. The replacement battery also only charged to 50% after a full night's charge. So...it's probably an issue with the phone itself. I have Total Equipment Coverage but getting a new phone's a hassle and I like my Incredible 2 (not guaranteed to get another I imagine). I figure it might be the phone's "charging circuitry"...is that easily repairable? I need to have a fully-charging phone in a week or so...
View 3 Replies View RelatedSorry for another battery thread, but I was interested to see how much time everyone was getting from a 100% charge to the phone dying. I've been monitoring battery with the ap BatteryLeft. At 100%, it is saying my battery gets 17.5 hours which seems pretty bad. What about everyone else? I've seen threads in terms of %, but hours would really be more helpful.
View 27 Replies View RelatedJust got the phone an want to turn it on. the manual however states to charge fully before you turn it on.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've noticed sometimes my Incredible battery indicator stops showing the charging symbol but the orange LED is still lit, and if I go to my About Battery, it says "Discharging" rather than "Charging." I don't do anything to the phone to cause this, but would love to know why it's happening if anyone knows.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble developing an app, while it works in API level 10, it does not in API level 7. I wondery why and I've been looking for a site that summarizes the differences, or the new features from one API level to another and cannot find it.

There seems to be a problem with an uncaught exception and reflection, although....why does it work on API level 10?
HTC desire users. I often charge my phone rather frequently like once it twice a day. Sometimes I charge even when the battery is only half full as I am going out. Will this spoil the battery or phone? (If I charge when the battery have not been all used up).I heard from people that it might spoil the phone if I charge in this manner frequently.

View 10 Replies View RelatedAndroid Version: 2.2 (but also happened on 2.1). My phone's battery level will suddenly drop to 89% even though it is still on charge. It's annoying because sometimes you'll start the day with only 89% charge instead of 100%. My friend also has a Desire but is not experiencing this problem - the only difference between them is the version of kernel. I read somewhere that is was the kernel that was the problem and somebody found a fix - xda developers - View Single Post - [DEV] Desire GSM/CDMA kernel 2.6.32 Google / 2.6.34/35 Cyanogen Mod.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSearching old posts reveal that no one knows a way to get the current battery level without using intents. Is this true? There's no method to just return the current battery level?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was just wandering if there is a shortcut to find the exact battery level on my Desire? I know you can go the 4636 route but thats slightly long winded, and most battery widgets/notification bar icons actually seem to use battery (i have properly tested this!). I know you can go into 'about phone' and do it that way but that just shows it as a series of bars, not as an actual figure.

View 3 Replies View Relatedso I decided to pull my battery out of my phone to check something.the battery level was at 30. I then put it back in and now its at 70. its been 20 minutes and its still at 70. Any insight on why this is happening?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to get the current battery status of the device (battery level and if the battery is currently charging). The only way I found so far is by using a Broadcast receiver to "listen" for battery status changes. Is there a way to get the battery status using a direct API call? I my case, I would like to check if the battery has sufficient charge (or is being currently charged) before starting the download of some (potentially large) files.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am writing a program and I am able to get the light sensor value and current battery level, but only the light value changes and when the battery level changes. Is there a way to get these two values anytime? Like when a user runs my program, I would like to grab the current values right away instead of having to wait for them to change.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOne of my friends with an iPhone showed me how a battery level meter is next to the bluetooth symbol when his headset is connected(new feature in iOS5 from what I found online). He was also using a cheap Motorola headset too. Is there an app or widget that does the same thing on Android?
View 12 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to show my smartphone battery level on my computer? Synced via internet.
It will be sweet to have those two bars (notebook and smartphone battery level) next to each other on the taskbar (win 8). I tried to google it, but unsuccessfully.
I was using the phone reading email and the battery indicator all of a sudden went from 50% to 5% and i got a prompt telling me to charge it. I knew this could not be right and i proved it by surfing the net for 10 mins and watching a video for 75 minutes before the phone died. Has anyone had this happen to them?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was using satnav at the weekend; the battery level indicator on my Desire went from green to orange (20%) and the existent data connection dropped off straightaway. I was unable to re-establish a data connection even after switching the phone off and on again. I was in an area of reasonable/good network signal strength. The GPS continued to function however so I could still see my progress on the map but a data connection message appeared.
When I got home the phone continued to function on WiFi (with GPS on too) for nearly another two hours before it turned itself off, so there was plenty of "juice" left. My question is as to whether there is anything I can adjust to ensure that the battery continues to function fully (ie maintain a data connection) until it runs out? Or whether at 20% the phone is somehow set up to end a data connection? I have now got myself an HTC car charger to make sure the battery will not drop that low again when I am using satnav.
I have a rooted Nexus s on 4.1.2
I am wondering if there is an app that can power off my device when battery drops to a certain level. Tasker's shutdown task not seems working for me.
