HTC Incredible :: Battery Charging Times
Sep 29, 2010My battery takes forever to charge about 2.5 hours from 10% to full. Anybody else have this issue. I have tried 5 different kernels all about the same.

HTC Incredible :: Froyo And Battery Life - Charge Times
Aug 3, 2010Anyone else getting horrible battery life and some insane charge times when using these froyo roms?
Is there a fix for this? Im not running anything new compared to when I was using 2.1 and it "SEEMS" like my battery is dying quicker. I say seems because I havent compared awake/uptimes between 2.1 and 2.2.
Battery life wouldnt be so much an issue if it didnt take FOREVER to actually charge the battery.
HTC Incredible :: Battery Not Fully Charge Unless Plug & Unplug Phone Several Times
May 19, 2010I called HTC and told them my battery will not fully charge unless I plug & unplug my phone several times. They said there wasn't a hot ticket about this issue and offered me a replacement battery. I suggest everyone call them and let them know this is problem. 8664498358 I refused the battery as I do not believe it is the issue. I told the rep that I just wanted to make the issue known. I suggested everyone call to let them know there are several people with this problem, not so you can try to get a free battery. I also called Verizon to order a spare battery, then I ordered a separate battery charger from fommy.com to deal with this issue until it is fixed. Shame on you to those who thought they could "steal" a battery from HTC.

Jul 29, 2010i woke up this morning to find that my inc was pretty hot (left plugged in overnight to charge), and had not charged much (it only got to ~60% starting from 30ish). it also had the overheating warning blinking lights (alternate green and amber) going. i unplugged the phone and the blinking lights stopped and it cooled back down. when it was hot BatteryLeft was reporting 45C, right now it feels normal and reports 31.5C.should i be worried? all i did was plug it in and leave it on my desk like i normally do when charging, this is the first time it's ever done this for me.

Aug 19, 2010I'm noticing the bump charge is becoming shorter and shorter when I goto do it. Its like 15 minutes max now. But it does still make a big difference. Be nice when they fix this. I feel silly double charging a lion battery.

Aug 26, 2010I'd love some input from anyone before I take my Incredible in for service, please.Three days ago I realized that the charging light was remaining yellow long beyond the phone's usual charge time. Even after leaving it plugged in overnight, the next morning I was still at less than half charge, going only by the Settings>About Phone>Battery>Battery Level graphical display. Last night same thing, whether the phone was on or off, still a yellow charge light. Today for the first time since I got the phone, the battery indicator itself turned yellow towards the end of the day.Preemptive facts:Prior to starting a new thread, I did a thorough search and found nothing related to this specific battery issue.I have the OEM, red, HTC battery, and have never charged it outside of the phone, or with any charging cable other than the one supplied with the phone.When I first received the phone, I charged it fully, unplugged, and bumped charged before turning it on. For about a week afterward I would charge to green while on, unplug, turn off, and "bump charge". I have never had trouble getting through the day on a single charge, and no, I don't think I was training a lithium ion battery, I believed I may have been training the software of the phone itself.I have tried charging the phone fully both on and off, and have not seen green for over two days. This includes continuous charging for over 10 hours.I have had the phone for roughly seven weeks.The phone does charge- just now I have gone from @25% (as measured on the aforementioned graphical display) to @40%, but at that point it seems to no longer charge, although the "Battery State" says "Charging AC" and the little battery icon shows the charging animation.Have I got a dead battery, or am I missing something? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.

Oct 29, 2010I put the charger in the port and didn't realize that it wasn't charging until after I completely drained the battery. And yes, I plugged it in and checked the outlet. I got it at Best Buy. Is that where I should return it or can I do it at the Verizon store?

Apr 2, 2013I recently noticed my Incredible 2 was only showing the battery life to be 50% after charging it overnight. I switched AC chargers and the problem continued. So I figured the battery was done, for whatever reason, and I ordered a replacement battery from Verizon directly. The replacement battery also only charged to 50% after a full night's charge. So...it's probably an issue with the phone itself. I have Total Equipment Coverage but getting a new phone's a hassle and I like my Incredible 2 (not guaranteed to get another I imagine). I figure it might be the phone's "charging circuitry"...is that easily repairable? I need to have a fully-charging phone in a week or so...

May 6, 2010Sorry for another battery thread, but I was interested to see how much time everyone was getting from a 100% charge to the phone dying. I've been monitoring battery with the ap BatteryLeft. At 100%, it is saying my battery gets 17.5 hours which seems pretty bad. What about everyone else? I've seen threads in terms of %, but hours would really be more helpful.

Sep 27, 2010If I ever want to restart my phone I have to pull my battery multiple times to get it to boot. It will load the Motorola M and sit there. Usually takes about 2 or 3 battery pulls to move onto the droid logo. I am on 2.3.9 Leak and am running the Revolution Theme.

After having the phone charging all night by my bedside, I wake up, take the phone off the charger, and immediately it drops from 100% to 90%. Sometimes higher..sometimes lower. Today it went to 88%. The phone is plugged in for 8-9 hours.
Is my battery not getting a complete charge? Does the battery stop charging at 100 and begin discharging from there even while plugged in? This happens with my by EVO battery, and the backup battery from my old Hero. Just wondering if anyone else is seeing this issue.

Aug 13, 2010I came from the incredible which had a battery bug, where if you charged it while it was on you wouldn't get a full charge. Does the droid x have this problem. I seem to get better life if i charge it up off and over night then when i charge it at work with it on.

Sep 27, 2010I have a Motorola Droid, the original.I got this phone back in May or June, my battery life has always been normal, i.e. 12+ hours on normal use throughout the day.I have a non-OEM charger, I have since I got the phone, and it has never affected the phone or the battery life. Recently in the past few weeks I've noticed that my phone's battery has been draining much more frequently, i'm now getting 8+ hours on normal use. Also I have noticed when I plug my phone in to the charger it says it's charging, but when I wake up it's only at 50-60% and I have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to go to full 100%. I've been trying to research why it is doing this, but i'm coming up with no answers.

May 21, 2010Today I took my Sprint HTC Hero to a Sprint store to upgrade to Android 2.1. In my opinion, I don't think it was worth upgrading the software. I really liked the options in 1.5 more especially the camera app. Any way, after getting home, my batter was almost dead. I pluged the micro usb cable into my Hero and attempted to charge it via an a/c charger. It started to charge from 10% slowly but then only went to 22% and stopped and stayed there for 2 hours. The back of my Hero was REALLY hot. I shut off the phone and let it cool and tried again. Same thing happened. I noticed that when you are using the phone and charging it in 2.1, the battery starts to die and it gets hot even quicker.Shutting the phone off and charging didnt help. What did and is still working, is putting the phone in Airplane mode, killing unnecessary running apps/widgets with the Advanced Task Killer by ReChild and then proceding to charge the phone.After leaving it like this for 30 minutes, the back of the phone was no longer hot and the battery percent went up from 22% to 33%, it is continuing to charge now.If you are having this issue, I suggest you use this method to charge your phone until the bug is fixed.This is such a pain because if your using Sprint Navigation in the car and your battery is about to die,you cannot charge it.The phone will remain on after using a car charger to charge it but the battery percent wont increase and it will get really hot.I guess we have to charge the phone before every use from now on? Android 2.1 is a lot of bugs. They made us wait this long for it and they have still failed to fix the major issues that were supposed to be fixed with this update IMO.

Sep 13, 2010I got my SLCD Desire 2 days ago, and so far the battery sucks, I have not even managet to get a day out of it, standby is not so bad but if I decide to play a 2d game like robo tower defence then the battery will plumet, today I charged the phone to 100% overnight, unplugged at 8AM, did not even touch it till 1PM, its now 5:45 and I have played some 2d games, browsed the internet with wifi and made about 15mins of phone calls and its on 22% how can I make that last till like 11PM?
