HTC EVO 4G :: Need An Alternative Hardware Button That Will Answer A Call?
Jul 14, 2010I was wondering if anyone else has this problem and if there is a work around. Often I will get a call and the screen is locked up and I can't answer the incoming call. I have the same problem with the regular slide to answer screen or now using No Lock. I think it has to do with my hands being sweaty or damp since it is mostly when I'm working out doing hard work. On my palm pre I could slide open the keyboard to answer a call if this happened. Is there an alternative hardware button that will answer a call? Or, maybe an app that would change the power button answer a call instead of ignoring a call.

Nov 5, 2013Is there any easy way to answer a call? I just got my first android (4.2) phone and find it a complicated procedure to answer calls.
When I get an incoming call I get a white phone symbol which I have to press and hold to get the red and green phone symbols to appear and to answer a call the timing has to be exact as if I release the white phone symbol before I have started the slide to answer it fails and I find it about impossible to reject a call with this method.
I thought there might be some setting to alter this like the lock screen but can't find anything.
General :: Galaxy S4 - Music Keeps Playing When Answer Call?
Nov 19, 2013I have a Galaxy S4 Google Edition with Stock 4.3, and my husband has a Galaxy Note 3 from T-Mobile, with 4.3 as well. He usually listens to Pandora, however, the music from Pandora doesn't stop playing when he receives a phone call. So he hears the music AND the phone call at same time. He uses the Samsung headphones that came with the phone. I use the Google Music app to listen to my music, and the same thing happens to me. I get a phone call, and the music keeps playing. Our friend, has a Galaxy S3 from T-Mobile with Android 4.1 (I believe, could be 4.2) and he says his music stops when he gets a phone call.
Is this a 4.3 bug? Is there anyway to make it stop playing music automatically when answering a call? If it's a bug, is it fixed in 4.4?

General :: Sony Xperia Neo L / Paranoid CM9 - No Screen To Answer The Call
Jan 12, 2013I am using Sony Xperia Neo L with ported Paranoid CM9 rom with CM9 OC Gov Net kernel. I have used it for a few months until today, I can't receive phone calls but can still make phone calls. When somebody calls me, the phone will just vibrate for less than a second. I can see who is calling me in the call logs. There isn't a screen for me to answer the call: with a call icon which can be pulled left or right. The caller would just hear my neo L's voicemail greeting or like forwarding to another phone ( i know that because the beeping sound is different.) I have checked the forwarding setting already.

Feb 6, 2010On my previous phone it had a "full lock" feature on it that when a text message or phone call came in it would show all stars on the screen and require my password before you could answer the call or view the text message does the hero have that option or is there an app I can download?
I tried the pattern lock thing it has but if a call comes through or a text message comes through it still allows you to answer and/or view the message without entering the lock pattern..

The 'swipe down' mechanism doesn't work well for me since I often end up inadvertently hanging up while taking the phone out of my pocket. Oct 14, 2010The one thing which I hate about Sense is the ridiculous swipe to answer feature when the phone is locked, I found Easy Answer Button and My Phone Tools. I used both but with limited success. It seems that with either one of those apps installed, I would constantly miss calls. The phone simply wouldn't ring and/or vibrate. I have my phone set to ring and vibrate when I receive calls. When using My Phone Tools, the first few seconds of the ringtone would play, and then it would be stop abruptly. With Easy Answer Button, the results were even worse: I would receive a call and the phone would not ring or vibrate. Of course, this didn't happen every time I received a call. But, when using these apps, a day didn't go by where I didn't miss a call because my phone simply didn't ring.
For those Incredible owners who have used either one of these apps, I'm wondering about your experience with them. Have you experience a similar problem with your phone not ringing/vibrating? I'm trying to determine whether or not it's just me or another app I have installed on my phone. It's been a day since I uninstalled Easy Answer Button and I have yet to miss a call. This leads me to believe that it's one of those two apps. Also, are there any other apps out there with a similar functionality? I'm currently running stock 2.2 (rooted, s-off), and not too interested in running stock vanilla. But I am wondering what other options to the slide to answer feature are out there.

May 21, 2010I have paired my Desire with my in car Parrot Ck3100. It is great to make calls with however, when I get an incoming call when I press answer the bluetooth disconnects? I do not lose the call but it is no longer hands free. I do not mind the fact I cant set up auto answering, but its useless if I cant receive hands free incoming calls.

There is a big pretty button on the left that has a green dot with a phone icon that you would think would answer it but it doesn't. Is there a setting somewhere, or a fix for this? I have tried goto - that was cool, but still had the swipe to answer. Also i tried screen suite, but that thing didn't replace the home lock screen for some reason.
