Since the update to 2.2 (yay!) I noticed that there's three drives showing in windows explorer now for my phone. One's the SD, one's the phone, the other is a very teeny sized "drive" ?

I dont believe this ever did it prior to root. When I connect my phone to pc it brings up 2 drives not just the sd card. I believe one is the actual phone? i have deleted any pics off the phone. Is there a way to just have the sd card pop up? The only thing on the other one is LOST.dir
View 5 Replies View RelatedI noticed after uploading a picture to Facebook, that it seems to have created a second "mobile uploads" Facebook album. It no doubt has to do with the fact that "Facebook for HTC Sense" and "Facebook for Android" is installed (that drives me nuts, but I can live with it).Unfortunately, now I see that my pictures are stored on both my phone's drive, and the SD card. The ones on my phone, I can't even seem to see with Astro.

E drvie which is my phone storage F drive which is my memory card and a new super secret D drive, which has weird content in it.a program called TL-Bootstrap.exe?? Any ideas of what the hell this is. Im not running this .exe till I know whats what.

Eg: When you connect an Android phone to a computer i would like an application on the android system to read some allowed folders on the connected computer. Making it so the user doesn't have to sync files itself.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI would like to get my droid to be a computer on my home or office network, such that I can get files directly on it, print from it etc. I was able to do this win my winmo phones, but of course, they were windows and so was my network. Is there a way to attach to a computer, and have a file manager on the droid that will be able to see and copy files back and forth between the phone and the computer. I can do this with other linux computers on my work network.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAt the moment I'm using an mk 808 as media player with two usb drives attached (and xbmc).
I was planning on installing a samba server on the mk808 as well (sanba filesharing), but that seemed to be rather slow (probably because the connection to the router isn't that great). The other samba or ftp servers I tried weren't faster or couldn't read/write to the usb drives.
Of course just plugging in the usb drives in the laptop is a good option, but I was trying to avoid having to disconnect them from the mk808.
I have also been thinking about just connecting the mk808 to the laptop, but then it only shows the sdcard folder. Is it possible to mount the usb-drives in a subfolder of the sdcard and then being able to acces them through usb-connected mk808? I tried changing the mountpoint in vold.fstab, but that didn't seem to affect anything (still mounting to the same spot)
I'm using an mk808 with xbmc and two seperate usb drives which should be mounted at fixed,specific locations every time I unplug an replug them.
How to achieve this in jellybean? I've already tried changing stuf in /etc/vold.fstab,but this seems to have no effect (I changed /mnt/usb_storage/USB_DISK0 to /mnt/fusb_storage/USB_DISK0 to see if it affects anything,but nothing changed)

Anybody else run into this isssue and know a better way to fix it?I'm on stock 2.2 but this happened in stock 2.1 also.

Suddenly, today, nothing shows up other than the Twitter logo and the "What's Happening" bar. When I click refresh.....it says ...loading, and then displays "No Tweets". View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm making an alternative camera App. As you might expect my App involves taking pictures and saving them to the sdcard. On most phones (and the Emulator) everything works fine, pictures appear in the built-in Gallery App straight away. However on the HTC incredible images only appear when the user restarts the device. (I'm talking about an HTC Incredible phone with an sdcard, I know some of them shipped with internal storage only, but this is not the issue I'm talking about) The code I'm currently trying goes like this: I've also tried MediaScannerConnection.scanFIle() with no luck. I wonder is the problem is due to the HTC incredible being originally designed to operate with internal storage only, maybe the Gallery App has issues with media stored on the sdcard. View 1 Replies View RelatedI just took some pictures with my g/f's incredible and I could not find the 100media folder when I try to take pictures from the computer.I mount it on the disk drive, went to DCIM folder, and I only can find .thumnails folder, and Camera folder.When I clicked on Camera folder, it's empty.When I try with my EVO, 100media folder shows with no issues and I can find my pictures with no issues.
View 14 Replies View RelatedSince the 2.2 update I have had double Facebook birthdays showing in my calendar. 1 from the old method of posting the URL in google calendars and the other from Facebook under the calendar option. After trying over and over to erase the original way from my phone with no luck, I decided to just delete my Gmail calendar all together and then reload it onto my phone. Once I did that, I restored my Gmail calendar and made sure the Facebook calendar option is checked. Now, I have NO Facebook birthdays at all. No matter how many times I check, uncheck and refresh the calendar, the birthdays refuse to come back.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have an Incredible. It has 8GB of internal storage and I've installed an 8GB microSD card. When I plug the thing in via USB, I have two drives that appear on Windows. One shows total capacity of 6.59GB and the other is 7.39GB. I guess my question is: I think I understand that the 7.39GB one is the microSD card. It's getting full. It appears that everything gets stored there. My question is, why do I have a 6.59GB drive available that never seems to get used? Is the purpose to manually put MP3s and such on this instead of the microSD card? With 2.2 (SkyRaider ROM), can I move apps to this internal storage?
