I did a search and ddidn't find an answer. I have contacts that show up when I start typing the phone number but don't show up under my contacts list. I went to PHONE --> PEOPLE --> VIEW and I have PHONE selected but they still don't show. WTF?

So I have been problem linking certain contacts lately. I go to find them in facebook and they aren't there. So I decided to try to scroll down and realized that my friends list ends at the letter R. Anyone afterwards is no were to be found. Anyone else have this problem and anyone else have any way to fix it?

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy first evo had light leakage I drove 20 miles just to exchange it and it has light leakage in the same exact spot. Slightly less though. What ever I'm not going to let it stop me from enjoying this phone I got a nice Seidel case and it covers the leakage. But I logged in my g mail account and synced everything but my contacts aren't showing up any ideas? And do you guys have light leakage also?

I have had this problem in the past with my Inc and Droid but all I did was go into settings and have it show only people with phone numbers but on my X I can't find this setting. Am I overlooking it somewhere or is there no setting for this?

When I get to the the "All" part of my contacts it is listing like 900 contacts. ALL the people I have EVER emailed from my gmail account. Let me explain : When I go on PEOPLE I see my contacts there , if I click on them I cant see any phone number or mail nothing it just show me the contact name then under the name I see DETAILS then INFORMATION and down I can read ringtone and send to voicemail and then last Edit. Why is that? I dont think is normal and honestly makes me really depressed coz I cant call normally.

My only issue so far is that even though I've selected in the People app only to display Google contacts there seems to still be Facebook contacts appearing, albeit only the ones who have entered phone numbers into their Facebook profile. This causes duplicate entries for the same person in messaging apps (default and Handcent) and in the People app it seems to prefer to show the Facebook contact details rather than the Google ones.

(Backup Assistant was not available for the Omnia)Anyway, on the home screen, if I click the bottom right contacts button, none of my contacts show up, even under the different categories. Nothing in google, nothing in phone contacts.However, if I click the bottom left button (phone icon), it brings up all of my contacts.How can I get this migrated over to the other contacts? Did a fresh install on my LG Optimus s phone.. and now cant import any contacts.. Its not displaying in contacts.. But if i go to text someone.. I type the first 3 letters and the full name and number displays. Just not in the contacts.. I accidentally upgraded my rooted froyo phone to gingerbread and hated I did it. got to wait til i can root it again. SO now im back to basic.. Does hard reset even revert to stock flash? Or you have to get technical in doing it?

I am using an activesync account with for my work email which syns calendar/contacts/email. For some reason every email address that i have ever sent an email to shows up as a contact.anyone else seen this or know how to resolve? all of my contacts are in there that i want but there are an additional 500+ "contacts" that are just email addresses that i have sent to through work.

If I sync gmail, those contacts show, but then not even the ones I added manually show up, even by search. Maybe they were overwritten in the sync...o.k. So I add them again, they JUST DON'T SHOW UP. WTF is this crap. I like google and all but are we actually expected to only use gmail/google services to manage our contacts?

It's a contact that I added on my phone, not on gmail on my computer. When I manually scroll down the contacts list, the contact is there. When I log into gmail on my computer, the contact is there and is listed under "My Contacts". Anyway ideas?

I checked her 4G contacts (view contacts boxes are all checked) and that specific contact is still missing while showing up on her desktop contacts. Out of curiousity, we checked both of our phones. Just from A-C alone, she is missing 23 contacts and I am missing 41 contacts. The contacts are there on our desktop contacts, but not on the 4G. I feel guilty since I was the one who talked her into changing from Blackberry. Her Head Nurse warned that she will have no tolerance for screw ups due to android phones. Apparently, she has same issues before with one of her RNs.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI haven't seen anything about the privacy implication for me as the recipient of the picture.I do not have a Google+ account. I have sync turned off for contacts because I think that Google has proven themselves too untrustworthy to have that information.
The only way I can see that the pictures get into my contacts is that on each incoming call the phone app takes the phone number in the incoming caller ID and queries Google to see if a picture is available. In the process, this gives Google a complete list of everyone calling me, an unacceptable privacy violation as far as I'm concerned.
Is there a way to disable it so that my incoming calls are not leaked to Google?
