I've had the Hero since 10-29-09 and the scroll-ball light is always on, it never shuts off ... It's driving me CRAZY. Also; the light pulses very lightly. Like it has a short or something. I've checked all my messages, settings and I can't find the problem. Has anyone had this problem? How did you fix it? I don't really want to go to my local Sprint store because I'm sure they have no idea.

All other directions work. Not sure if this was the case straight out of the box, as hardly use the mouse wheel / ball. Anyone know if this could be an 'out of calibration' problem that can be adjusted, or is it just broken? Have to admit dropping the phone once, but not that hard!

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo everything is perfect about my Eris except that the scroll-ball doesn't scroll left anymore. This isn't the first time the problem came up. My last Eris had the same problem. It scrolls in every direction except which is kinda annoying as I use it alot more than I thought I would. Should I take it up with Verizon? It isn't a life or death situation but it makes editing sentences in texts a pain.

I have no new notifications but the tracker ball is lighting up every 5 seconds or so. What does that mean?
I was using CM6 and it had an option that i could unlock the phone by double pressing the menu button or by pressing the trackball. Now I am back to Darchdroid v2.8 because i like it way better than froyo, but the only way to unlock the phone is by sliding the screen icon. Is there a way to re-enable that menu/trackball way of unlocking the phone? I am using launcherpro 8.1 as home screen, not sure if that makes a difference.

This is a huge pain when you are taking a photo and have to go through several steps to turn on a light that should have been an automatic flash to begin with or at least have a quick toggle button on the same camera screen. I have the phone connected to my computer where the phones LED notification light is red but will not turn on or even boot into recovery. My computer isn't recognizing it as a device either.

I have a ListView in my app that has a background image. All of the rows are a semi transparent white (#35FFFFFF). Whenever I scroll the list, the rows turn a light green that obscures the background image until I stop scrolling (usually--sort of unpredictable). Sometimes it flickers between the background image/color and the green. And yes, I have set the cache color hint to #00000000. Any advice about this would be appreciated.
