My phone has been been on the charger but it won't charge , theres an orange blinking light though the pulsates , no matter how long I leave my phone on the charge it won't turn on what do I do?

I was wondering how I could turn off the blinking green light on my phone every time I get a text. If I don't clear my notifications of the new text(s) right away, the blinking light kills my battery. I do want to keep the notification on my drop down bar, I just want the blinking light to stop. Is there anyway to do this? I know I can take off the blinking light and drop down bar notification, but I don't want both gone, only the blinking light.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had to remove my sim card, which means that I had to remove my battery. After doing so, I put my sim card back in, followed by the battery, and after pushing the power button, the battery indicator started flashing green and orange.
The screen isn't turning on, and absolutely nothing is happening.
I've been pouring over google trying to find a solution, but haven't found any that worked.
One suggestion suggested that I hold the power button for 10-15 seconds, then plug it into power, then add battery. This did not work.
Another suggested the opposite- hold power for 10-15 seconds, add battery, then add power cord, still no luck.
I freaking love this phone. I really, really, really want to fix it. If there are any, ANY suggestions as to what I could do to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated. I tried to call HTC for support, but, wouldn't you know it, couldn't get to a phone before EXACTLY one minute before they closed.
I just got my x10 from service and they told me that the motherboard is broken, also I had the same problems like http://talk.sonyericsson.com/thread/3101?tstart=30 . From SE Macedonia they told me that my phone cannot be repaired. My gurantee is not valid because they told me that I've broken the motherboard.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my end, I'm HOT AS HELL. Today has become official the hottest day in Los Angeles on record, breaking 112 degrees in downtown LA. I had an errand to run on my lunch break, so I ventured out into the heat and, while in line at the drive thru to get lunch before heading back, I noticed the LED on my EVO slowly blinking orange, then yellow. I looked, and the phone was no longer charging, even though it was plugged in.
Looking at SystemPanel, my battery was at 118.5 degrees, and it felt a bit hot, but not too much so. Upon returning to my office, the phone is now plugged in and the LED is a solid orange. Was the alternating blinking LED telling me my phone was overheated? If so, have I damaged my phone? It seems to run fine, thankfully.
I accidently sat got my evo into some water on our bathroom the other night and now my phone is acting weird. I disconnected the battery and the phone and allowed them to sit in bags of rice for a few days to draw out the mositure. I turned the phone back on and found the camera is no longer so the water must of wicked in through there, but what is troubling me is the orange charge light comes on as well as a red indicator light on the other side.

I was worried that something was wrong with my phone, so I searched online and read that more people experience the same thing. But it's not clear to me if it's a standard thing--that the LED light just stops blinking after a certain period of time or that it's a glitch of some kind. Can anyone tell me? If it is a standard thing, are there any good apps that you'd recommend for this? I read something about an app called Missed Reminder.

My Handsent would receive a sound as well (it is still set) and a flashing pink light appears on my phone. Now the green light does not come on. can I set it to and if so....how do I do it?

I hadn't been able to charge my EVO for a little while, and just a little while ago it finally gave up the ghost. I booted back up to recovery after it shut down, where it told me I needed to change the battery.
Well, that's great! Except, it wouldn't let me shut the phone off! It sat there for a few minutes, not responding to my trying to turn the phone off, until, it seems, it completely ran out of power. I have the seidio 3500mah battery, and the cover is a royal pain to remove (usually requiring a butter knife to pry the sucker out of it's death grip!).
Now when I got back to my desk at work, I plugged it in to USB, and the charging light is just blinking amber at me, and it won't turn on yet. Does this sound like it's not charging, or just needs to charge itself up a bit before it will let me turn it back on?
Anyone else notice that the green indicator light is blinking in a different spot? Don't think it's a big deal, maybe it's from the update. I really only noticed it b/c there's a cutout for the light on my Zagg skin and this new light placement is not in the cutout.

I leave the phone sitting on my desk and I miss messages all the time because the phone doesn't kick on and I have the volume turned all the way down or off. I have the phone connected to my computer where the phones LED notification light is red but will not turn on or even boot into recovery. My computer isn't recognizing it as a device either.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI had a orange branded hero and set about modding it. I used flashrec and recovery-RA-hero-v1.6.2.img. I did everything the noobie guides state and it seemed to have worked. I then flashed with a custom rom 2.9-update-hero-modacocustomrom-core-signed.zip. after a while, the phone was successfully de branded.
Then i wanted to flash the phone with h3g uk official rom, as my phone was unlocked and i had a contract 3 sim. I was told to flash splhard1_update_signed.zip. I did this and since then my phone wont switch on? I have tried removing battery, home & power but the phone just stays blank...
