General :: Nexus 4 - LED Notification Light Red But Will Not Turn On Or Even Boot Into Recovery
Feb 11, 2014So I upgraded to the nexus 5 and sold my phone to a friend yesterday. He claims that he has not deleted anything and that is froze and just stopped working.
I have the phone connected to my computer where the phones LED notification light is red but will not turn on or even boot into recovery. My computer isn't recognizing it as a device either.

recovery is CWM
What may have caused this. and if its bricked how to unbrick it if possible?

Sep 23, 2010I plan to get an HTC Desire soon and have one last question on mind.The best phone I've used so far is the iPhone. If anyone's used/compared the iPhone and Desire with a hands-on experience, could you please let me know how well the touch sensitivity/responsiveness of the HTC Desire compares with the iPhones? i.e. does it respond as well to soft/light touches as the iPhone does? Also, how well would you place the touch sensitivity (good, better, best, equal) for Apple iPhone, HTC Desire, Samsung Galaxy i9000, if you've personally experienced all 3, or any 2 of them.I haven't been able to get my hands on one unfortunately. This seemed to be the only way left to find out.

Jun 25, 2010I'm guessing this is because the light detector determines I have plenty of light and thus decides that I don't need them to glow. But really, it's just annoying, as in direct light, i can't see the keys whatsover thanks to glare. Thus, my questions: 1. is it normal for the soft key lights to turn off? and 2. is there any way to override this and have them on at all times?

Jun 19, 2010I'm on my 3rd Eris - replaced each one for the silent bug. This one hasn't gone silent yet, but the soft keys (home, menu, back, and search) don't light up. Major PITA when using the phone at night. When I took it back to Verizon,they said the buttons aren't supposed to light up. Now I'm second guessing myself. So, can someone with an Eris check it out on your phone and see if the buttons light up? Is there a setting for this that I'm missing? BTW - This last replacement shipped with 2.1 installed and hboot 1.49.

Sep 24, 2010What's the status on this issue? Many of the Samsung Galaxy S phones come with a beautiful array of soft keys with LEDs that are dieing to be used as notification lights as well. For example, the T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant has 4 soft keys (menu, home, back, search). I would like to be able to set the menu key to light up at an interval of 3 seconds within the first hour of receiving a text message and light up at an interval of 5 seconds or more after the first hour of receiving a text message. Has Samsung released the necessary API? Or does Google have control over this?

This is a huge pain when you are taking a photo and have to go through several steps to turn on a light that should have been an automatic flash to begin with or at least have a quick toggle button on the same camera screen. Whenever I scroll the list, the rows turn a light green that obscures the background image until I stop scrolling (usually--sort of unpredictable). Sometimes it flickers between the background image/color and the green. And yes, I have set the cache color hint to #00000000. Any advice about this would be appreciated.

I disconnected the battery and the phone and allowed them to sit in bags of rice for a few days to draw out the mositure. I turned the phone back on and found the camera is no longer so the water must of wicked in through there, but what is troubling me is the orange charge light comes on as well as a red indicator light on the other side.
