Sprint HTC Hero :: Delete Videos And Pics Downloaded From Gmail?
Dec 14, 2009I downloaded a video attachment from my gmail client and I have no way of deleting this thing now. It was 9mb of precious space and when I connect my phone to my PC I cant find it anywhere and I for sure can't find it anywhere on my phone. I also have a ton of pics on my card apparently from viewing pictures through email. How do i delete this junk. The pics don't show under gallery they just showed up when I transferred pics to my PC.

Oct 25, 2009I just wanted to pass this along; You can take it for a grain of salt, but I came away impressed. I decided to make a call to HTC (the number is on their page, if you go to Support and "Hotline" the number is there) to discuss a few of the hardware/software issues that I, as well as others on the board have been experiencing. First off, my wait time was about 3 minutes. Very short, so that was a good start. I spoke to a representative named Jonathan (a woman). The topics I asked about:
1. Why Gmail messages do not show up in the "People" application under the contact's card who sent the email.
2. Some questions that I had about managing memory and the best way to exit a program.
3. The clock widget displaying incorrect time, and the new issue that appeared with the clock today (possibly brought about by some DST error).
4. What happens when you "Clear Data" from the RAM using the "Manage Application" menu.
I began the conversation, which lasted about 40 minutes, asking about the Gmail issue (#1) as that was my biggest query, but added on the others as the conversation went on. She did not know exactly what I was talking about, as she hadn't heard that complaint before. Instead of just saying, "uhhhh, yea, I don't know what to say" or try to spout off some half-assed solution only to get me off the phone, she actually took the time to look in some of their documentation, and when coming up empty, grabbed a new phone, set it up and tried to replicate the issue. At no point in our conversation did she sound like she was saying stuff just to "get by" or end the call. She actually sounded as if she cared......
HTC Desire :: Any Way To Prevent Pics Showing Up In Photos App?
Apr 21, 2010I've got a few pics on my phone that i'd prefer if curious people trying out my phone wouldn't be able to stumble upon by accident. I downloaded astro and tried moving them to a different directory but they always show up when the photos app is opened. Is it possible to make them accessible through astro only somehow?

Apr 14, 2010So whenever i save a picture using the default browser... it will not show up in the gallery. How do you fix this? Extremeeeellyyy irritating. When i look at downloads on the browser it will show only the picture you clicked on as being in the gallery, but as soon as you open the regular gallery outside the browser download menu... it wont show up. Who would have thought it would be so hard to update a twitter pic on such a "smart"phone -__-

I have an AOL account and cannot view any pics embedded within the email. I do not get a exclamation point where the pic should be, instead I just get a large empty space. Is this a problem with my settings? When I originally set up the account, it defaulted as IMAP... should it be POP3?

They only have a "x" next to the update. At the bottom of my profile page, there is an option that shows: Photos: Off - On - Max. The setting is set to On.
Motorola Droid :: Updated To 2.1 - Now Gallery Is Showing Picasa Pics - How To Stop
Mar 31, 2010I just finished the update to 2.1, and all went well. But when I went to look at my gallery, it downloaded and is showing all of my Picasa pictures! It never did this before, and I can't seem to find a settings menu to make it not do this! I would go ahead and delete the folders it added from Picasa, but before I do this, I want to make sure that it's not going to delete them on my Picasaweb account too.
Did anyone else have this problem? Will deleting the Picasa pics that showed up on my phone make the ones on my online account go away?

Similar to syncing for contacts and email, thumbnails of synced photos are transferred wirelessly, so there's no need to plug your phone into your computer. You can add and select the Google accounts associated with the Picasa photos you want to sync with the Gallery in the "Accounts & sync" tab under Settings. Click on an account and mark the checkbox next to "Sync Picasa Web Albums" to automatically pull your online photos into the Gallery.
It still would have been nice if this were an opt-in thing, but at least I can turn it off...

Jun 18, 2010So I took some photos with my camera Reviewed and clicked share --> Gmail.Typed subject and body and photos were attached.It says sending & then my friend never gets them.Then i tried emailing myself just 1 small photo (under 1 meg) and still didn't get it.anyone ever have this issue.Is there any way to see the EMAIL Q to see if 1 email is bogging them all down from being sent?

Feb 16, 2010I am having a problem sending pictures with the gmail widget on my eris. I take the picture and attach it to an email composed with the gmail widget. However, when the recipient (and my own gmail account to test) receives the email, the pictures are not viewable. They just appear as a red "x". I can send the same email from the phone to my hotmail account and the pictures show up fine. I have tried different resolution sizes, but with the same result. I have accessed gmail through the phone's browser to try to send the attachments that way, but cannot see that there is an option to include attachments. It is pretty frustrating to use a gmail widget to have the pictures not appear when sent to my own gmail account. Then to check my hotmail account and see that the pictures appear fine.

I was surprised that I didn't receive any emails today, then I checked my computer and saw that I had several. So I hit refresh on my phone a they popped up in my inbox. Sep 12, 2010could not locate an important phone number which I personally entered on her Gmail contacts on her desktop. I checked her 4G contacts (view contacts boxes are all checked) and that specific contact is still missing while showing up on her desktop contacts. Out of curiousity, we checked both of our phones. Just from A-C alone, she is missing 23 contacts and I am missing 41 contacts. The contacts are there on our desktop contacts, but not on the 4G. I feel guilty since I was the one who talked her into changing from Blackberry. Her Head Nurse warned that she will have no tolerance for screw ups due to android phones. Apparently, she has same issues before with one of her RNs.

Jan 12, 2010My Droid was acting up a bit today. It was really laggy today so I did a battery pull, after which it was fine. Then tonight on the way home I got an email, read it, and the notification went away, but in my Gmail it still showed "Inbox (1)" but the email showed as read. I synced it twice, but it stayed the same way. When I got home tonight, I logged on to my email and it showed the email as unread. I just downloaded Twidroid Pro and Google Goggles, so I'm wondering which of these is the culprit.

Jun 10, 2010I was trying to call my brothers cell. I have called him before on my droid and texted him. However, I just noticed He is not in my contacts!
I goto my gmail account, I have 193 names there, including his, but on my phone I only have 183!
However, when I dialed his number, his name popped up!
Where are these contacts, and why aren't they syncing? If I do a search for his name on my phone, it does not show up either. This is a critical issue!
I went to my gmail account and 'touched' his name, changed his address from road to rd. Forced a sync, but still it doesn't show on my phone. I have my phone set to show 'all other contacts' , which is the group on my gmail account.
