Sprint HTC Hero :: Transfer Pics Taken On Phone To SD Card Instead Of Using Memory?
Apr 23, 2010So I was told by a Sprint rep that if the phone memory gets below about 80 MB then the phone will start to lag. Well I can't seem to delete enough stuff to get back above 80 MB available memory, I deleted pics, texts messages and various apps that I would have liked to keep. I started playing with my wife's phone which has more apps then mine, I checked her available phone memory and she has 102 MB!!! I can't figure out what I could have on my phone memory that would be taking up over 20 MB of space. Where can I look to try and figure this out? My wife's phone is very zippy and quick, while my phone waits forever when switching apps.
Also, How do I transfer pics I have taken on my phone to the SD card instead of using phone memory?

With the card, all photos automatically go to the card and easily into my PC. However the first 2 pics aren't recognized and I thought I might use the USB. Tried it just by plugging in, I saw the files, but can't open any.

Nov 18, 2008I transfer some pics from my computer to my g1. I only had about 5 pictures total and then a few days later they all seemed to disappear except for one. One of my main queries is though, file transfer from my Galaxy to my MacBook Pro - why can't I see previews of what I'm transferring? I have to transfer the file to my MacBook, and then decide if I want to keep it or not because that's the only way it'll reveal what it is. However some of the pictures I sent to the computer from the phone are not on the phone when I go back to it later. Where are they? On the SD card i assume, but how do I view the card on the phone, not through the computer?
And the pictures, and videos actually, are not stored in the Album either. One other question, someone in the forum said they use ATK sparingly. Any reason for using it sparingly, I think it is pretty good, but is it really?

On my 1st Hero with Orange they were perfectly clear however I now have 1 with T-mobile and the contact pictures are very blurry, almost unrecognisable. Anyone know why this would happen and how to fix it? It now shows a box that says download and when I push the download button it doesnt do anything. Jan 11, 2010I love my sprint hero, but am on the fence about sprint itself tons of people have told me how they hated sprints service, customer service, etc..my wife and I thought the ability to send pics via messaging is a cool feature however it doesn't appear to work all that well.have tried the built in and also handcent messaging. am connected currently via my wifi at home and that doesn't help either. i realize there are probably size restrictions ( size anyone) but it should work sometimes.also the voice record feature on handsentend feature doesn't work either.
