Samsung Captivate :: Phone GMail Shows No Emails / Web Gmail Shows New Emails
Aug 18, 2010So this thing just started within the past week. My phone's stock gmail app will show new emails so I look at them and then they are all read, showing 0 new.But when I login to the web browser version, 5 minutes or even later(up to hours later), the web browser gmail is not updating to show that I already read the emails.I'm on JH2. So maybe it is a bug with the firmware?Or maybe a setting got changed but I'm not seeing how to handle the issue.

Feb 13, 2013Running on a Droid 4 with no mods. Email is a POP3 based account.
Are there any apps out there that will show on the email icon that messages are waiting? Right now, all I am getting is the update in the top status/notification bar. If I clear that bar out, I have 0 notification without going into the actual client. BB would show a red * on the icon, and iPhones show a red circle with a number in it on the mail icon. I'm looking for something similar on the droid.
General :: How To Show Count Of Emails For Each Email Account
Jan 17, 2013I use the mail default mail app@ my phone for about 3 E-Mail accounts. The problem is, only the E-Mail Icon for collected E-mail accounts shows the total number of "unread" Mails for all accounts, if I add for each account a seperate E-mail icon no number for unread Mails is visible for that account.
How can I configure the Mail app for each account with each icon, so that it shows me the number of unread messages for that specific -E-mail account.

Nov 17, 2009 When I set my phone up it loaded every singe contact from my GMAIL contacts onto my phone. I don't necessarily want all of these clogging up my phone, but when I go to delete them from my phone they also get deleted from my contact list in GMAIL. Also the same with emails. If I delete them on my phone, they get removed from GMAIL inbox.
My old blackberry would give the an option of "delete from phone" or "delete from phone AND gmail".

The phone doesn't show my flagged emails and if I flag an email using the phone they don't show up in Outlook. Feb 16, 2010I am having a problem sending pictures with the gmail widget on my eris. I take the picture and attach it to an email composed with the gmail widget. However, when the recipient (and my own gmail account to test) receives the email, the pictures are not viewable. They just appear as a red "x". I can send the same email from the phone to my hotmail account and the pictures show up fine. I have tried different resolution sizes, but with the same result. I have accessed gmail through the phone's browser to try to send the attachments that way, but cannot see that there is an option to include attachments. It is pretty frustrating to use a gmail widget to have the pictures not appear when sent to my own gmail account. Then to check my hotmail account and see that the pictures appear fine.
