Does anybody know how to set your messages up to auto delete after a set amount?I have over 400 on one thread after a day or two and it would be nice if there was an auto delete feature.Maybe an app? anybody know?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been searching but so far have not found the answer to this question: is there an app to automatically delete threads when they get to a certain length or if they have been inactive past a certain date?
My old phone just autodeleted the oldest text once you got past 100, and while it is nice to have more memory than that I do not want to go through my threads and manually delete them to stop them from taking up too much memory. anyone know/use such an app?
I cannot delete a text message on my LG GW620 phone, the message won't show up in the inbox so i can't delete it. It only comes up in the notifications bar. I've cleared the message data in the application manager but it keeps comming back.

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust curious, is there a way (or an app?) that will help me auto delete texts after a certain time frame has passed? I ask this because I have 2 threads that take EXTREMELY long to load due to the large number of texts within each (one has 1,300 texts, the other has 940). It is starting to get annoying having to wait 7-10 seconds for the thread to load. I have actually tried manually scrolling up and deleting the oldest texts but that was just WAYYY too much work and it took probably a good minute just to get to the top.

The battery life is terrible, fully charged yet went off half way through my shift? What I am have been having major problems with and cant figure it out for the life of me is how to forward a text and delete a draft message? I just cant figure it out! Forward a message? how do I access the names or the phonebook? theres always only the contact that sent me the text in the first place or one i use frequently. and i have a draft i cant get rid of unless i send the **** thing. this phone is so frustrating to me because texting and facebook are my main objectives when purchasing a phone. facebook: when i tap on notifications it tells me constantly there is an error. now i told the salesman in the shop what the main uses of my mobile are and so far I am extremely disappointed with this mobile phone, i have been mis-sold! Can someone please put me out my misery so I can appreciate this little phone a bit more!

Refreshing the stories just keeps adding them on, but it appears you have to erase them manually, which seems pretty bad given there are over 200 stories and growing on mine right now. Have I got this right?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been enjoying my Incredible since launch.Today I got a "SoAndSo is now following you on Twitter" message, and I can't delete it.If I long-press the message in my inbox and select "Delete" from the menu, I get a "The Application Mail (process...) "Force Close" message and I have to restart mail.This error and behavior is repeatable.If I select "Menu -> Delete" from the in-box, the message dissappears, and is not available to "select" for deletion.If I try and just select the message to read it, the screen quickly flashes as though it were about to open the message, but immediately returns to the inbox screen.If I get a new message, I am able to delete it with no problem. It seems to be specific to only this message.
View 1 Replies View RelatedA while back I was looking through either the stock messaging app or Handcent and saw an option to auto reply to text messages, and you could change the text to make it say whatever you needed it to say. Today I tried looking for that option again and didn't find anything. I searched on the forum but only found other apps that I would need to install in order to do this. Hopefully someone knows what option I am talking about or uses it. If not, I can always use Tasker to do this, but prefer to use the messaging apps.Edit: So I found the answer about 30 seconds after posting this. Used to happen every once in a while, now doing it multiple times a day. I use Handcent but I doubt that is the problem because the messages dont show up in the regular messaging either. Just want to see if i am alone with this problem.

It seems like the ringtone and text tones have to be the same volume, and unless I want to crank up the volume on my phone (which makes the ringtone way too loud) I can't hear when I get a text message. I've tried a number of different tones (default phone options and some I've found on Zedge) but none really work for me. I love the one I had on my old LG phone, but can't find anything like it.

This was a major blow to me as I coach a softball team and have to send out a text message to 15 or more people every week. It worked before Froyo but not anymore.

View 1 Replies View RelatedLove my Incredible but one glaring issue I'm having I'm hoping to resolve here. At work I am in tons of meetings and conference calls and having a ring tone blast out isn't accepted too well So when I get to work I turn my ringtone volume down to VIBRATE and when I get a call, since I have my phone bare in my pocket, it vibrates and I never miss a call.
But as soon as I change to VIBRATE MODE, all the stuff for NOTIFICATION SOUND under SETTINGS is grayed out. If I go under MESSAGES and SETTINGS, the check box is checked for PLAY NOTIFICATION SOUND and VIBRATE.
I just tested this several times and with the phone in saver mode (screen timed out and is blank), I get ABSOLUTELY NOTHING when I get a text message. No vibrate, buzz, blip or anything. If I call my phone it vibrates for the incoming call fine. BUt for a text message... NOTHING!
Since I *HAVE* to use VIBRATE MODE at work, how can I get the phone to notify me when I get a text message? Kind of important to me as an out of state relative was trying to text me information about my mother's surgery and I was not getting any notification on my phone.
My G/F just got the Incredible and she likes the Bubbles that I have on my Vibrant. I can't find anything on changing the layout of text or anything so I was curious if anyone on here knows of a way to change it? I've heard recommended HandSent?
