after getting my required data i want to delete this currently received sms programmatically. data is very confidential in this sms and i want to delete it here after getting data and also clear it from notification bar.or i want to discard it because i dont want to show it in inbox any one can help me regarding this.can any one give me code snippet which was working perfectly for deleting sms or discarding it.

Or at the very minimum, be able to empty the trash folder in one step without having to individually select each email to be deleted. Is either of these possible and I'm just missing something?

Sep 20, 2010Ever since i rooted my DX (rooted and deodexed with revolution), i've been having this weird email problem. When i go to delete emails in my gmail inbox on my phone they delete off the phone, but not in my actual gmail inbox online. Because when i delete the emails off my phone the inbox counter still reads all those emails that are still there. Well when i go online to delete them it goes back to normal. How can i fix this to where i dont have to keep goin online to delete emails?

Jan 12, 2010My Droid was acting up a bit today. It was really laggy today so I did a battery pull, after which it was fine. Then tonight on the way home I got an email, read it, and the notification went away, but in my Gmail it still showed "Inbox (1)" but the email showed as read. I synced it twice, but it stayed the same way. When I got home tonight, I logged on to my email and it showed the email as unread. I just downloaded Twidroid Pro and Google Goggles, so I'm wondering which of these is the culprit.

However, the past couple of days, I have one email account that says there are new emails to display, but when I click on it, nothing appears in the Inbox. However, if I go to the Combined inbox, they are there. This email was working before a few days ago! I even deleted the email account and re-created it. Still no email displaying in the Inbox. I do receive a message saying something about server messages and Inbox not available, but I've looked everywhere to find any information on this (even googled it and checked the forums with no luck).

Aug 25, 2010I cannot delete a text message on my LG GW620 phone, the message won't show up in the inbox so i can't delete it. It only comes up in the notifications bar. I've cleared the message data in the application manager but it keeps comming back.

Oct 13, 2010I dislike G Mail because of the threading and it is SLOW but it would appear to be the only email client on android that can forward html so I'm stuck with it. How in the world do you delete an individual message of a conversation without deleting the entire conversation? When I expand a conversation, the messages have reply, reply all and forward at the bottom of the message but no delete. The delete button at the bottom of the screen (between archive and older) only wants to delete the whole conversation. What am I missing?

Nov 8, 2008I was goofing around my phone and i found out how to delete a message and a call with out deleting all of it like when you go to call log and click clear it removes every call or in your message t removes the whole thing instead of just one. well to delete only one call number go to the number and click & hold it until a little window pops up and it will give you a menu for that number go to the last one remove call this will only delete that one call. same thing works for the SMS message just open up the conversation you were having with the person and click and hold the part you want to delete and and a menu pops up and click delete. Hope this helped out the people that didn't know about this.

Nov 24, 2010I've been enjoying my Incredible since launch.Today I got a "SoAndSo is now following you on Twitter" message, and I can't delete it.If I long-press the message in my inbox and select "Delete" from the menu, I get a "The Application Mail (process...) "Force Close" message and I have to restart mail.This error and behavior is repeatable.If I select "Menu -> Delete" from the in-box, the message dissappears, and is not available to "select" for deletion.If I try and just select the message to read it, the screen quickly flashes as though it were about to open the message, but immediately returns to the inbox screen.If I get a new message, I am able to delete it with no problem. It seems to be specific to only this message.
