I like the functionality of the default photo browser, but want to have additional folders to help categorize my images.

Setting up my email account was easy to do. I'm having a problem (or I'm not understanding) the email app that came with the phone. I only see three folders
INBOX
SEND
TRASH
How do I create additional folders? Also, how do I get all my emails in my inbox to display?? I am only seeing the recent emails, or the ones that were just received. I need to be able to see the emails from earlier today, yesterday, last week, etc..... How do I do this? Can emails be stored to the card? Can we change the text setting from an html format to just a standard text format? Where can I find a the complete instructions on the email app?
I got my Motorola droid last week and when I loaded a bunch of pictures from my comp to the phone it made several folders in my gallery. Is this normal or is there something I can do?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhat I need to do with my Incredible is so simple and I am really amazed that this phone's photo application is as bad as it is. I have about 100 photos. I need to put them into individual folders or albums (I just need a way to separate them). I have tried everything but it does not appear as though the Incredible has this capability. I did a search and found some instructions using Astro file manager however this did not work for me. Therefore, is there any decent apps out there that will allow me to create folders (or albums) and put pics into them? I also need to somehow backup the photos (probably directly off of the SD card onto my PC).
View 7 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to move photos that I have taken into separate folders? Right now they are just sitting in the "Camera Shots" Album. I would like to be able to create several other albums (i.e. kids, family, friends, pets, etc) to easily access pictures instead of scrolling through 100's. m sure i not the only one thats wants this cuz its kind of annoying to see all the photos in one album rather then have it all organized.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm a photographer so I have the need for several different folders in my gallery for various reasons. So far the only way I have found to move pics between folders is to go: my files>dcim>folder with pic I want to move>long press>select move>select new folder>select move here. One at a time. Are you kidding me? So my questions are:
1. Is there a quicker and easier way to move several pics to different folders?
2. Is there a way to select a folder before I start taking pics so that all the pics I'm about to take go into that folder?
3. Is there a better gallery out there that allows for all of this if the stock one doesn't?
It really seems like I should be able to quickly and easily do what I want from within the gallery. Like a simple drag and drop type of thing. I will be amazed if this isn't there, but I can't find it.
When I go into my gallery for pictures I have roughly 200 pictures, its annoying to find the one I want, is it possible to split them into separate folders (e.g. "Personal", "Wallpapers", "Icons")? I don't mind downloading an app or two to achieve this, I just don't like all my photos being thrown together.

View 2 Replies View RelatedYesterday (08/08/10) my X10 said there was a new update available and to download correctly I needed to connect it to a computer update through PC Companion 2.0. I did this and followed all the on screen instructions correctly. I got to the final stage and it asked me to disconnect the phone switch it off remove the battery, reinsert and then turn it back on again. The instructions said it may take awhile for the phone to come back on again because the phone will be updating. So far my phone has not come back on again after 24 hours of waiting, all that happens is the sony ericsson logo is displayed for about 10 seconds and then the phone turns off then the same process is repeated. Any ideas whats happened or what I can do to fix this or will it be a job for Sony? I have emailed them but of course they were absolutly no help what so ever.

Today, I had some spare time so I tried to download an attachment. It downloaded fine but when I went to view it, I received a pop-up box to save it to the sd card. After pressing ok, I was told the save was successful but now I can't find it. Aside from pics and videos, how do I access other folders with saved data?

View 13 Replies View RelatedI got my Droid 2 a couple weeks ago, and I'm having two problems with my contacts list: 1) For some contacts, the phone numbers aren't displayed when I view the contact. To see the numbers, I have to edit the contact. This is only true for some, not all. Is there a setting somewhere that this is controlled? 2) Sometime when I go into my contact list, I see a list of social media items for my contacts instead of their names (which is very frustrating). New to Andriod but seem to have figures most out, ...but.. I have added my hotmail account under the mail app standard on the sonyericsson x10, and the mail is comming through, but when I delete it on the web or laptop it does not delete it on phone neither does it update that I have read the email. It does sync but emails stay on phone. Any body have a fix or answer for me?
Also I have several folders in my hotmail account, the phone only displays Inbox, drafts, outbox, sent, trash. How do I get the rest of the folders on the phone?
I am interested in displaying web pages with more than the 3 installed fonts. I tried the demo of installing fonts as assets and changing the typeface, but I am not sure if it applies to a Webview. I was able to modify the sdk and install more fonts in frameworks/base/ data/fonts. I can see those additional files when using the shell in / system/fonts. However, the fonts were not used in the internal web browser.

After weeks of trying to get my service to run on boot & an interval via AlarmManager I finally found out the problem. If my workspace is for sdk 1.5, the service never run once. If my workspace is for sdk 1.0, Using the 1.0 Emulator, Not the 1.5 Emulator, it works perfectly. Why is it only working on the old SDK? Is there an additional permission I need?

I'm an android newbie, and I would like to create some folders-games, weather, maps, etc. and put corresponding apps in those folders. I would like to place those folders on my homescreen.
Is this possible and if it is, which app would I need to do that. I've had my DInc since they came out and it's totally stock. I haven't gotten the froyo update yet.
I had Eclipse running with the Android plug-in and I decided to add the Emacs plug-in. I downloaded and it worked. Then I decided to go back to the Eclipse key bindings and the Android plug-in disappeared. I could not update it, because Eclipse said it was installed, but it was not showing up in the menu.
I had to re download Eclipse, and reinstall the plug-in.
Why don't different plug-ins cooperate? I had the same issue when I tried to download the Blackberry plug-in alongside the Android plug-in (in different workspaces) and that also did not work. The only solution is to have two separate Eclipse each with a different plug-in.
