I was wandering if anyone had managed to find a way of watching 4oD on the hero? I am on Vodafone. I am not sure if this makes any difference at all. I have been trying to watch programmes for the last couple of days but no joy.

I did a search and did not come up with too much. But I was wondering if you can set up " watch in high quality " as the default setting when watching youtube videos? Had the Hero for over a week and mine is not laggy at all "swipies"and still loving it. Loads great no major issues at this time.Except always mis-spell words.

I can't afford, though, to have the ph9ne going out of battery... so my question is will I be able to watch, say... an hour, maybe more of video and still be able to use it for a few calls after?

I'm at my local Sprint store fondling the new EVO and contemplating when I get an upgrade and maybe I should get one or should I wait or.Anyway, the phone was fully functional and on 3G, so I thought I would check out YouTube. I brought it up and searched out a video I had watched before and cued it up. When it played, and for whatever reason, it had super resolution and looked great, but it would not play more than a few seconds without stopping then starting, stopping and starting again, etc. I thought this was pretty weird, so holding the EVO in my other hand, I pulled out my Hero and cued up the same exact YouTube video. When the vid played on the Hero the video guality and resolution were not as good as the EVO's, but it played perfectly and seamlessly all the way through, no starting and stopping at all.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIm still trying to get a good feel for what i am doing before i go and root my phone and flash a custom rom. my last real question is i see so many different custom roms people are using. where can i find all these to put on my phone. also i am on 2.1 do i have to use a 2.something custom rom or can i use any custom rom. im at about an 95% user ability as far as using my phone and computer. i have never hacked/ flashed/ altered anything like a phone or computer or video game system. i have always just used as is. i wanna try this becuase i have read i can go back and go stock on this if i cant do it or dont like the results.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently got a Hero and loving it so far. The 'Tips, Tricks and Useful Apps' thread on here was especially helpful in setting the phone up. However the Camera Zoom FX barcode was not recognized? I've also tried to manually search for this in the Android Market and although there are lots of add ons to the app in there I cant find the original app where you have to pay $1.29 or something. I would really like to get this app as the only slightly disappointing thing for me on this phone is the camera and any way of me improving it would be great.

I go to manage applications and then I try to sort by running but I see no order of which apps are running and the only ones I know that are running are the ones that say force quit. Is this correct? If so, is there any other way to easily find out which apps are running. Is there a way to sort them and be able to find the running applications without having to manually clicking on each app? I have tons of things on this thing and it takes forever to do this.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently got the HTC G2 Touch and sometimes it is a great phone and sometimes it's the most expensive brick i've ever bought. I was wondering if anyone could answer a couple of questions,
1. I'm surprised the phone doesn't have a music equalizer. Are there any apps that do this?
2. Toon Warz lags on my phone quite alot. Is there anything I can do to speed it up?
3. When I play a song there is a stutter at the beginning of each song, is there any way to stop this? And when I press pause it doesn't pause straight away, or when using the buttons on the headphones.
4. Why can't I find Doom on the market? I've searched literally everything!
5. If I buy a game, does it just get charged onto my phone bill?
6. I know that you can uninstall a game within 24 hours and you won't be charged, but couldn't you just uninstall and reinstall an app every 24 hours and not get charged?

I can't find the tilde symbol ~ , on my htc hero's keyboard. Can someone clue me in on where it is or if it's not there at all, which i am beginning to believe.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI've just got my hands on a HTC Hero and I can't find the handwriting support that numerous websites AND the Orange website who supplied the phone said it had.I've looked around on the web a bit and can't seem to find any cast iron information on this but almost all of them give "Handwriting support" as one of the key features of this phone.
Is anyone able to shed any light on this?If not I shall be sending it back and continuing with my Magic - Which is fab.
Currently running VillainROM 10.2 but I cant seem to find any of the widgets I used before I installed Launcherpro (bookmarks, calendar gallery etc). I have downloaded a bookmark app from the market but it's crap Can't seem to find any "LauncherPro widget apps" so where am I going wrong?

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy Hero rebooted itself when i cut it off and cut it back on due to aggravation of lag. after spending half the day fooling with getting back some apps, my contacts from google and the whole issue with syncing facebook to my contacts. i thought i could easily just look up my city for the weather widget location.
Well before the reboot my weather showed just fine, my location and everything. now my city isn't even in the data base and my gps and such is turned on. some of the directions ive read on using the gps to find my location has become a headache because i don't think i have those features.
When i go into my weather settings and click the + sign it goes straight to search location. i type in the name of my city and it doesn't come up.
I have got new memory card and transfered of old card to new card along with load of new tunes, the phone does not find memory card and when I tried loading memory card to laptop again it is not doing anything, am confused, any ideas as it driving me mad, phone saying SD card missing.

Step 2, Touch it and it should go full screen pic below
Step 3, Touch menu button and this screen below appears
Step 4, Hit the set as ringtone button and below screen appears
Step 5, select trim ringtone and below screen appears. When in this screen you can adjust ringtone from each end to where it begins and ends. There is a play button and a left and right arrow. The left and right arrow allow for second to second adjusting.
I was wondering if the only way you can see things that you have saved to your SD card is by hooking the phone up to a computer. I have saved multiple things to the SD card and I can't seem to find a place on the phone to retrieve them. Any suggestions?
