I downloaded the battery widget, but everytime I charge my phone it shows zero. I have to remove it and then add it to the home screen again and then it reads correctly after that until I charge the phone again.

I'm trying to drain my battery it was at 7% I rebooted my phone cuz i know that kills battery but when it rebooted it said the battery is 13% now what gives why'd it do that.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI was using Battery Widget prior to a rom upgrade and it was great as it showed the %.Since the upgrade it doesn't show the %.I've tried one or 2 others but they don't have the % being shown either.To save me downloading every damn battery application can someone who has done the ROM upgrade let me know what they are using.

Switched back to the 3500mah battery and my battery widget says its at 50 percent I mean I can understand the widget isn't perfect but wow that's a big margin to be off by so how do I know how much charge it really has? O and i used the htc widget.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone for the first time yesterday, which was easier than I thought, and I flashed Fresh 2.0d and it is running awesome. I am having one issue and that is downloading the HTC battery widget back to my phone, it fails on install. Is that because the battery is being sent to the SD card and it can't run there? Any work around on that? Or is there a better battery app out there to use?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had the Droid since the day it was released and have had absolutely no problems with the battery up till now. I can still make it through a full day without having to charge it. But now it seems like something funny is going on. About a week or two back i had charged my phone over night(like i always do) a few hours later it alerted me that the battery was low and that i should plug it in(hadnt used my phone at all yet that day). I thought that was a little strange so i rebooted it, once it restarted i checked my battery and it was at 90%, i figured the phone just read the battery wrong for some reason and moved on. But today my phone randomly shut off and i had to do a battery pull to get it to come back on, i have read that the battery pull issue has happened to a few people so far so i didnt think much of it, but this combined with the false low battery reading makes me wonder if there is something wrong with my phone. Has anyone else had a false battery reading and if so did you need to replace you Droid?

Right now I can only see one person I'm following in the widget, is there a way to see tweets from everyone within the widget? I checked settings, but no such luck.
Also, is it another battery drainer similar to the weather and people widget?
I usually charge my phone over night and I have never had any problems. Last night my phone didn't charge and I woke up to a 15% charge. I figured that I must have knocked the charger out of the outlet, so I just took it to work with me to let it charge today. It's been charging for almost an hour and there is still no change in the charge (now it's at 10%). When I go under settings and look at battery use, I see that I have "1d 0h 18m 22s on battery." I don't know if my phone is just incorrectly reading my battery or something.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI own a Nexus One running Froyo. I can just not rely on its battery status. The battery rapidly discharges when I use the phone, but then increases by some amount if I keep it in my pocket.
I have had a lot of instances when I have stopped using my phone when the battery level falls below 30%(battery color from green to yellow), only to find it green when I use it again.
I have rooted my phone, allowed the battery to die, reset its stats, but in vain.
I have a rooted HTC Hero (Sprint), Fresh, Gumbo Kernel that runs wonderfully. Lateley however, my phone is not reading my sd card. Im unaware of the class, but it is an 8gb scan disk minisd. It has worked for over a year. I try to copy my information onto my desktop to reformat the sd, but it stops in the middle of the transfer. I have tried to find info on this issue, and I apologize if a thread has already been started.

- I'm running the "Battery Left" widget and I have it displaying "estimated percentage left", "system percentage", and "estimated time left until dead".
- I listen to A LOT of Slacker Radio.
My issues:
- I was previously getting about 19+ hours out of a fully charged battery. 2-3 days ago I started having issues with the widget (I think it may have started when I installed an update to the widget) so I recalibrated it to no avail. Then I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Within a few hours it claimed that it was getting accurate readings (when I first installed the widget weeks ago, it took days to get accurate) and now says that I should be getting 9 hours out of a fully charged battery. I know that can't be right so I'll see how the widget adjusts itself over the next few days, but, any thoughts? (I know a lot of you guys use the same widget and know how it works...)
- Also, In the first two hours of my phone being unplugged this morning, it went from 100% to 70%. I did run Slacker for about an hour and a half of that time, but could it really drain the battery that much that quickly? And I noticed that when I close Slacker, if I go into phone settings, applications, running services - there's still a Slacker update thing running in there. Could that be draining the battery too, even if it's only checking for updates?
- I really don't run a lot of stuff on this phone. I keep wifi and gps turned off. I use bluetooth only a few hours each night. Minimal web browsing. Although, my POP email gets checked every 5 mins (but I just changed it to every 10) and I do use gchat and text a decent amount, but I'd say overall, it's "light" use (except for Slacker which could be a huge drain, right?)
Is there anyway for my phone to be able to support reading Arabic language?
I really need it, my phone will be complete this way.

I am so impressed with this widget that I felt it deserves its own thread.
Not only does it tell you your battery %, but it tells you the est. time left and time that it will die. It's way off at first, but after a few cycles (let the phone die, charge, and repeat) it gets really accurate.
That aside, this widget will show you the apps using the most CPU, Network, GPS, Sensor, and "Partial Wake" usage.
There's a battery use widget which is actually a shortcut to a menu (or a hidden menu, i didnt find it anyway) that shows the percentage of the battery that every process used.
It shows me:
Android System : 70%
Cell Standby : 14%
Phone Idle : 14%
Android OS : 2%
Anyway, no matter what i do to my phone - running 1.6.3.1 , with APN on, sync off, wifi off, gps off, wireless networks off, around 30 minutes of accessing the network and 30 minutes of calls - the battery almost dies at night.
I liked the looks of Battery Left, and gave it a try. I'm running the OEM extended battery.
Removed bulk of post since developer is working with me on pinpointing the issue.
So, looking for another good 1x1 battery widget that'll do increments of 1% - or at least 5%. Suggestions? I've found several that will just report the stock %, which doesn't help since stock will only do 10% increments.
The battery widget looks like BatteryLife by CurveFish but it is a little different. Is this because of a certain them installed that changes this or is it just a different app?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI was having major issues with battery drain on 2.1 (second leak) and after reading some threads here I removed the HTC battery widget. This appears to have solved the problem. Apparently the phone was not going to sleep when I had the HTC widget running. The awake time was nearly what the up time was. Without the HTC widget I do not have this issue.
Has anyone ran the Android Battery Widget on 2.1 and does it create the same problem?
Just wondering which battery widget I should download out of the market?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI installed the HTC Battery widget (downloaded from the Android Market) and notice that while the battery is being charged, there is a visually effective animation that continuously runs.
I always though such animations in widgets were not supported in the SDK.
How is this technically possible?
Has anyone released a more accurate Battery App? I've been using Battery Status, but I'm now bored as to how it looks. Anyone wanna recommend a good one with a nice interface?
Also, what widgets have you guys downloaded and are using?
If so, I'm not seeing it, but I thought I've seen reference to an HTC battery widget. Even the "get more widgets" option doesn't show one. I'm just looking for something small that shows a percentage number.
